@HarryCallahan-tf3qr that's crap. Bruce Lee was both a teacher and a fighter. He beat the crap out of Joe Lewis. Lewis lost terribly to Lee. Watch the fight. Bruce was kicking the crap out of Joe. He kicked him in the chest and face several times. Nobody is going to just take hits like that unless they are just stupid. There is actual proof that Bruce beat the crap out of Lewis! It's a fact now. I seen the proof!
Great video as always 😊🤘 Like John Little said: "Bruce was too fast for these guys". And I think even now he would have been the fastest! Greetings from germany
Joe Lewis and Chuck Norris both lied when they said they never sparred Bruce. That was not Bruce's M.O when he met martial artists. He immediately wanted to test himself against them. They became his students for a reason.
@iluvcliffrichard According to John Little's recent book, they sparred when Joe Lewis hurt Bruce's student, Herb Jackson, during a sparring match. Bruce got pissed and told Herb, "Give me the gloves." Bruce then proceeded to take Joe Lewis to school. Both Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Ted Wong backed up this story. They said that just like everyone else who fought Bruce, Joe couldn't touch him. Bruce moved in and out and popped Joe at will. Joe's ego would never let him admit that story. But when he and Bruce got into a real altercation, Bruce got in his face and said "Let's do it, mother@#$%!" To which Joe wisely backed down and walked off. According to Joe, Bruce's last words to him was to call him a "punk". 🤣
Ha ha, that's so believable and funny and makes sense. It's easier for Joe to say they never sparred, as any interviewer will want to know what happened in the sparring sessions then, and joe would have to admit Bruce toyed with him like an inept kid! So it's just easier for Joe to say they never sparred.
Im a major Chuck Norris fan love his films but lets be honest here as good as Chuck is there is no way he could have lasted against Bruce Lee. In my opinion Bruce was a one off.
@@StripeyR- Chuck has done an interview or two (not many) where he has admitted that he didn't really have a chance against Bruce when they sparred. A lot of his piers have given up trying to convey this too - so much time has passed . . . and is it worth their effort trying to tell people about Bruce ? But they know the truth and were lucky enough to train with this one-off athlete. So many people pontificating as to the Bruce being only this that or the other . . . the information is there for them to find - but no, they want to be spoon fed.
Yes,Chuck is a tourney fighter but Bruce was way, way, beyond just a fighter.if u look at Bruces films, his stance, punching& kicking, even gestures are far different than ANY fighting champion.
Bruce's real reason of success and superstardom was simply that he could convey his super developed abilities in his movement and actions. Intuitive people can just see it, plain as that. Of course ignorant people will always argue and deny.
Nobody is disputing his success and superstardom. What is in doubt, is whether or not he ever fought for real against a credible opponent. Not Wong Jack man or a schoolboy boxer or kids in HK. I mean like Ali fighting Frazier. Tyson v Holyfield or Stipe Miocic fighting Francis Ngannou. that type of credible opponent.
I'm just saying the reason behind his superstardom is the same reason why he would be capable in competing. Just facts are that he did not compete I guess but I think he would have been capable and very able.
@@johnfirewire Maybe, but as he didn't compete we will never know. Not you personally, but there are over zealous fans that call him a superhuman fighter, despite no record
50yrs later, everybody's taking about Bruce, he was a real street fighter, so faster couldn't be seen on camera, hence why they told him to slow down, he know street fighting, martial arts, fighting in front of a camera, and walking away from assholes..
@@cuzz63 True. Only one fight can be verified. Lee fought Wong Jack Man another Kung Fu teacher. Aside from that there is no proof that Lee ever fought anyone else. Unless you want to listen to rumors, or take compliments from other fighters saying he was fast and strong to mean he actually had fights.
@@johnreidy2804, Well, that makes Bruce Lee having one fight more than Chuck Norris, who admitted himself that he never had to use his martial arts skills as he never got into a fight.
Why would world champions learn from a mere actor, as some claim. They didn't want to learn from Bruce because he explained his art so eloquently. 😂 Gauranteed, at some point he'd have to make them a believer real quick & yes that involves sparring. And knocking some precious ego's along the way. Their wake up call.
@@THEMARTIALARTSCHANNEL-bb4fx He sparred against his students but there are no details of him doing hard sparring with any notable fighters. Definitely no evidence of real fights against notable fighters.

What fights did he have that made him a real fighter ?
Thanks for the shout out Stripey. Not sure how I came across that PDF must have been searching John Little / Chris Kent. Never heard of 'Carved Outta Stone' before. Looks like my kind of channel. I'll watch the John Little episode this week. Just ordered another Bruce book 'The Last Disciple: My Memoirs with Bruce Lee' by Peter Chin. They still keep coming even after 50 years!
My pleasure mate. The PDF was a great read & now I have to put this into a video (should be fun). Carved Outta Stone is cool & the John Little podcast is well worth a listen. The Bruce books do keep coming, it's hard to keep up lol. Keep up the good work, fella. Thank you 👍
Great, great video Stipey! I love your channel and your perspective. John Little’s Wrath of the Dragon book is exceptional. It is essential reading for us Bruce Lee Fans, Martial Arts Fans and Movie Fans! Great read! Great to have the Chuck Norris letter read aloud. Btw… my favorite Norris films are Code of Silence, Lone Wolf McQuade, Silent Rage, An Eye For An Eye and of course… Way of the Dragon. Bruce really gave Chuck Norris a good showcase, including the touching scene at the end of their fight when Bruce places Colt’s jacket and black belt with him, praying in respect, clearly affected by what just happened.
Hello Stripey. I've been a Bruce Lee fan for over 35 years and I really enjoy your videos. I feel like "you are reading my thoughts". I also love your accent and I wish you luck and good health. Cheers!
100% Stripey!! I'm sick of the "dirty diggers", regardless of who they are/ were, its easy to have a pop at a dead guy, I met Chuck in 93' in Orlando, lovely guy and a supremley talented martial artist, but leave the dead alone please 🙏
Some of these guys are claiming Bruce beat up Joe Lewis who is dead. They never claimed that when Joe was alive. They are also calling Joe and Chuck liars.
Hi Stripey, another great post - thank you! To you and everyone here, I'm so glad that I got that "Is it Bruce Lee" to you first and to be analysed by everyone before Beerdy got his hands on it. We must challenge beerdy at every turn and put him in his place for promoting bullshit. Now to Mr Norris.I think Chuck has always played down the fight he did with Bruce in ' Way Of The Dragon' because it overshadowed his own fight choreograhy and his martial art career. To be honest. Chucks fight scenes in his own films wasn't were not always very good. It always looked a bit stilted at the best of times. Bruce and Chuck spent a great deal of time and energy working on the Coliseum fight and Chuck once admitted that he was happy that he, the seven times world karate champion, was shown being beaten in that scene. Afterall -It helped launch his own acting career.
Great video Stripey. I totally agree, ego is definitely a major factor in all these guys saying what they say. Chuck is fantastic but lets not forget his early tournament wins were points based. Everyone will have an opinion, but the influence Bruce had in Martial Arts in unequalled.
All of his students Rave on Bruce Lee’s abilities, I have been in the company of both Dan Inosanto and Sifu Ted, both of them separately described his speed and accuracy as unbelievably Incredible!
Wow, that's awesome! Thanks for more new content. We all knew Chuck, Joe Lewis, and others lied about being BRUCE LEE'S students. I like how u played Bruce Lee's recording. Thank u.
You are certainly doing some excellent research for your content; I appreciate the clarity you are bringing to so many stories that have been circulating for years. Keep up this great work. Looking forward to your thoughts on the Bruce Lee scene in Quentin Tarantino’s film Once upon a time in Hollywood.
It’s hilarious to see Chucky in interviews claiming he was a REAL fighter and Bruce Lee somehow wasn’t. More hilarious when in the same interview Chucky also claiming he has never used his karate outside of training and tournaments. We all know that back in thr 60s and 70s karate tournaments did not allow full contact and were scored via point counting. Not allowing real contact or striking is the main reason Bruce Lee had no interest in competing, basically because Bruce was a REAL fighter.
James demile a boxer military trainer 230 lbs street fighter said in his own words. These fists can kill one hit. He said when he met bruce he said i dont believe in that butterfly hand jumping dance im a street fighter.bruce said throw a punch well demile with girls watching said ya ok .well demile said he blocked my hands i couldnt move as he tapped me on the head saying anyone home. He didnt understand how a 140 lb against 230 lbs could do this. He realized there was a technique to fighting and not just wild attack but a way to control ur opponents. He was so impressed he began working with bruce learning from bruce. Improving his fighting. Saying i and all others could not beat him and i tried to kill him.he woukd beat us all and im not saying it was hard or took long time i mean we couldnt hut him seconds he had us all beat. Even saying he could beat any man any size.his speed power was to fast hitting 3,4 5 times before u could react.
DeMile was not a boxer...also known to exaggerate. When someone says "I am a street fighter" it usually means they cant actually fight. I would like to know why DeMile left Bruce and started his own style.
The fact is when Bruce was around they allowed him to get away with cutting them down correcting them and letting them have it if they got out of line but then after he’s gone they won’t let him get away with anything. Now why didn’t they stand up to him when he was alive telling them what to do. So now their not only no match for Bruce but their liars as well. Honesty is the best policy.
Let's not forget apart from all the incredible talents Bruce possessed Bruce Lee was also an awesome ingenious fight choreographer and knew eactly the correct angles to sell each kick and every punch perfectly and it Truly shows in his movie's I Believe no-one Bruce came across wished to fight Bruce, all the many Martial Artist's he worked with or came in contact with, NO-ONE wanted to mess with Bruce cos he was Simply that good Let's reverse the scenario NO-ONE has EVER stated that they Beat Bruce think about it NO-ONE was able to come forward to claim that had happened basically Bruce was so Dangerous who the hell in their right mind would want to fight him! now there's proof of the pudding Right There, so like a horse that's been mentally Broken inn they resigned themselves to becoming his students, there was now't else they could do! they weren't wrong though, Bruce is a damn cracking Legend and they saw that, felt that! and Vibed that he was Super Special indeed!! and they were spot on Bruce Lee 50 year's on and he's still the genuine real deal we Alway's believed he was, Everyone with any Martial Art's intelligence just appreciates that he was very very Special indeed the *man* the myth, the *Legend* 🌟🐲🐉🌟❤
I got to meet Chuck at Supanova Comic con. Told him how my late Granny would chase little Bruce away from kicking the mouse traps stuck in every telegraph pole in Hong Kong. Chuck signed my Shout Factory blu ray book combo where the main pic of Chuck fighting Bruce. Great research👍😊
Love the video this doesn't surprise me im from the 70s and Joe Lewis admitted later on in life before he pass away Rip Champ but he did say in a video that he knew how fast Bruce Lee was because they did sparring and Bruce use to nail me and he hit like a heavyweight and back then when someone say a small guy hits like a heavyweight simply means he could hurt me or did hurt me and even could mean he could knock me out. So obviously Bruce Lee was powerful for his size but for me i never cared if Bruce Lee was the greatest or not i always Respected what he brought to martial arts the charisma, speed, agility,,power, footwork and making u want to become a martial artist yourself and i did one of the best things that ever happened to me. Martial arts is not just about fighting but its away of life more so Rip Bruce Lee and thank you for sharing your knowledge of self awareness 💯🫡
In that video, he did compliment Bruce on his speed and power, but he never mentioned sparring. Joe has in the past said he never sparred with Bruce but they did pre arranged drills.

He practice martial arts from 1956 to 1973. He did his first movie in 1971. Chuck met him in 1967 at a martial arts tournament so Chuck is learning from only an actor. 😮 So all these train fighters even Wong Jack Man, didn't know he was just an actor. Lol! Chuck was an actor too. He acted in his first movie in 1968
@@stevo62fulsome ppl say he was just an actor which is to imply that he didn't know martial arts. There was nothing to gain to compete in those point tournaments since he was Black Belt Magazine and other top ppl where working out with him and not the other way around
@@bearsbantertalkshow1497 I have no doubt he was a martial artist, but he wasn't a fighter in the sense that he didn't fight at a high level. That's not to say he couldn't fight, but he wasn't an accomplished fighter. I would define accomplished fighters as those who fought often against proven fighters. In those days that would be Joe Lewis, Bill Wallace and Benny Urquidez. Both Bruce and Chuck might have been competitive full contact fighters if they had chosen to fight full contact. It's likely that they both made a lot more money by concentrating on acting, than the aforementioned trio made from fighting. I know Joe, Bill and Benny did a bit of acting, but nowhere near as much as Bruce and Chuck.
Wenn done Stripey :)! I like that finally someone brought this phone call from Bruce to Chuck in one of his video, and the apology letter. Of course like you said the phone call is just hearsay, even J. Little admitted that. And that Chuck admitted on the David Letteerman Show he never had 1 street fight in his life. Something about Mike Stone: Many people dont know it or have forgoten, he was actually in a couple movies. In "American Ninja 2: The Confrontation", starring Michael Dudikoff as the american ninja "Joe Armstrong", Stone portrayed his final opponent in the movie, basically the leader of the evil Ninja's. Back then Dudikoff was novice in martial arts, but today i think he is a brown or even black belt in brazilian jiu jitsu. About Bruce's street record: It was actually 34-1, and the sparring 30-0. So overall 64-1. Little dosnt mention the guy he lost to, but i think its very likely his name was Francis Lay, and it was when Bruce was about 11 or 12 years old and only knew some fundamentals of Tai Chi, Hung Gar Kuen and Choy Li Fut. Of course it's up to anyone, but not just the late James DeMile, but also Bruce's sister Phoebe stated over the years he was involved in several street encounters when he was around 10-13 something like that, and lost several of them since he wasnt so good back then. Yes you can say this doenst count, but to me it does since its somehow not ok to just ignore it. Litte began to list Lee's records when Bruce was 12 and not the brawls he had before, which is ok to me. John lists in his book the guy Bruce lost to at 12 was a John Doe who did Tai Chi, but like i said it could have been Francis Lay, and Francis was actually a greco-roman wrestler.
Chuck Norris was/is good. But he only competed in points karate. This is very different from full contact or street fighting. Bruce was before his time. Many of his techniques & philosophies are used in the UFC today
without bruce 99 percent of the world wouldnt even know who chuck norris was.stripey at the start of each video let us see the full t-shirt,that looks like a good one.
Due to Stripey accent I can’t tell what he’s asking at 11:50 so I couldn’t answer the question but, whatever BRUCE LEE WAS AND WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST THERE EVER WAS AND NEVER WILL BE ANOTHER PERSON EVER EQUAL OR BETTER THAN MR. LEE MAY HE 💐 🙏R.I.P. 🙏💐 IN THE HEAVENS ABOVE.
Chuck Norris said Bruce was not a professional fighter in the ring. That is true. Because he chose not to compete in tournaments and such events. I already knew that. But somehow, fans misunderstand and get the impression that Bruce was not a real street fighter or martial artist. That is not true! He was a street fighter, getting in fights with the British or sparring on rooftops in Hong Kong. That is why (or part of why) his parents sent him back to live in the United States.
99% of that is all true. But there is 1% which is different: Norris himself never was a "professional fighter". That's a lie through and through. These point karate guys were amateur fighters, not professional. The only real pro fighters in the 1960s in the USA were boxers like Muhammad Ali, Sonny Liston, Floyd Patterson, Ingemar Johansson, these guys were pro fighters. The definition of a pro fighter is someone who makes his main income with competing in combat sport. Yet these point karate guys (Norris, Mike Stone, Jim Kelly; Joe Lewis, Bob Wall etc) had their main income through others jobs, be it martial arts instructor (what Lee was too), bodyguard or what ever. So none of them was a pro fighter, only the boxers were pro fighters.

Bruce never said anything like what was said in that paper, ever,...he was reading what was put in it by someone who had no knowledge of any of the four. Chuck is correct in what he said about he being a professional.. Bruce was a professional in his own right, but on a different level than Chuck.. Bruce was definitely a teacher, and a very good one, that goes without saying, but for anyone to say that Bruce trained Chuck is absurd, he taught chuck 1 maybe 2 things and that's all.. It would be like saying as a chef I taught Gordon Ramsay how to make Bolognese sauce so I must be his teacher. To say otherwise about Chuck is completely disrespectful.
Chuck Norris on my opinion is a Good Champ of Martial Arts. But if him not meet Bruce Lee he still remain Chanp. a Semple Champ. On our time after lessons and and pratryx with Bruce Lee for years. Ih attitude seam a lyke super hero he had the Fortcune to meet Him this is the thruth
It's so funny when Chucky is telling everyone he instructed Bruce Lee on how effective high kicks really were. Then that morphed into I taught Bruce Lee high kicks. Yet Chucky never had even met Bruce Lee before Green hornet was on TV. Look at Bruce's high kicks in the Green hornet the fastest is ever been done on the television show in history still.
Norris likes to say he was a professional fighter....he was a point fighter. There is a difference. Joe Lewis is the only real fighter of the time that actually gave Bruce Lee his due as a fighter and as teacher to him.
Bravo! Best exposé on the Chuck Norris's attempts to pretend Lee didn't train him. I think the whole Norris mythology which he loved of people making up sayings about what a superman he was (to the point where Chuck could carry an airplane gently to the ground if the engine conked out) had become legendary and made him famous. Those myths didn't fit well if he had to admit Lee had something over him.
Superfoot Bill Wallace stated that as well. All these proclaimed World champions had to do was point fight 2/3 guys from Chicago. 😂 Bam you're a world champion.
There's no question in my mind that Chuck Norris could have bested Bruce in sparring/fighting. Bob Wall pretty much said as much about a number of Bruce's supporting actors, including Bob himself. Chuck did not LIE about sparring Bruce, he BEAT Bruce (i.e. was better than him in those training sessions) and was not going to go on TV and say as much, while at the same time not being willing to put Bruce on top. There is a number of accounts I have heard from karate people, who Bruce mistakenly thought couldn't fight, that had no trouble handling Bruce in sparring. Anyone who knows anything about martial arts, sparring/fighting who has seen the only actual footage available of Bruce in actual sparring can easily see that he lacked experience. Sure, he showed his superiority to Inosanto and his other student in that demo (1968?), but neither of those guys could fight at all, so it didn't prove much. If Bruce spent his time competing and learning HOW TO FIGHT, I have no doubt he could have been great. He just wasn't great in that arena. He was a phenom, no doubt, and a wonderful contribution to the world or martial arts, but not in the area of actual kumite.
@own3674 and some fought full contact then. Alot of people will say Karate was only point fighting...this is patently false, Kyokushin Karate was and is full contact.
In younger days of Joe Lewis, he denied about their sparring... But later when he looked ageing..!! Kudos for him, he is the man for accepting it!! 😁.. he Admitted it
Great video and I agree it always bothered me that Chuck made it seem like he was the real fighter because he was a world champion. He just could not be honest. I will say though best Chuck fight scene i thought of was the in Lone Wolf Mcquade with David Carridine. I thought of that fight first because it was Chuck's fight. I consider way of the dragon Bruce's fight.
With anyone that is great and has passed now for a LONG time, people now want to re-evaluate the past. Whether is a great guitar player such as Randy Rhoads or Bruce for example. The problem the person is not around now to defend themselves against lies.
There's a big difference between a real fighter and a professional fighter. A real fight doesn't have rules and isn't about points or trophies . Chuck never got the chance to be a real fighter idk about Joe. Is a reason everyone jumped at the chance to learn from Bruce.
Hi Stripey I hope you are well?😊 I did go and watch the 'Carved out of Stone ' podcast and it was fascinating. John Little said it perfectly, we were right, Bruce was a phenomenal fighter and a brilliant martial artist. If he was just an actor why were the other actors in his films martial artists too!? Like another subscriber said, it's very easy to 'bad mouth' someone when they're not here. Would they say these things in front of him..I very much doubt it. It's all about ego isn't it. Brilliant video again Stripey, and where did you find the letter from Chuck, amazing!😊😊👍✌️

Oh i really liked this one. You don't need to win a trophy to excell at something, Jim Kelly told the truth. Stripy was it true Bruce fell out with joe Lewis over his wife?
I lived that history. Mike, Carlos "call me Chuck" and Joe were very accomplished martial artists years before ever meeting Bruce. Another fact was that these guys were all poor and looking for ways to make a living in the martial arts that they loved. Bruce also loved his career in film. Because of that, he was averse to getting injured and kept his fighting to a minimum.

I like the Chuck Norris movies that I have seen such as The Octagon, Good Guys Wear Black, Lone Wolf McQuaid, The President's Man one two and three, and the TV series Walker Texas Ranger, but I feel Chuck Norris lied when he said he taught Bruce Lee high kicks, when Bruce Lee already know how to do high kicks. Like I said before I feel people are lying about Bruce Lee saying that they taught him so they can put their names out there. They need to stop that foolishness.
Both Mr. Lee and Mr. Lewis are both gone. Mr. Norris is 83(?) years old. One can speculate all one desires unless one has actually sparred with or fought any of these men. If one has seen Mr. Norris or Mr. Lewis fight in tournaments, they can easily assess their respective fighting skills. Mr. Lee's skills appear evident from what we can see at tournaments and films. Bottom line: who ever gets the first punch or kick in and then follows up before the opponent can act will likely win. Therefore, we will never know, will we?
I've never really liked Chuck Norris, it seems that keeping a reputation intact is far more important than telling the truth. Shameful behaviour from people like Chuck and Joe Lewis.
You mentioned.. that you could name five of Chuck Norris's movies but couldn't name the other three after the first two, let me help you.. there is of course not counting Return of the Dragon.. but there was good guys wear black, the octagon, a force of one, eye for an eye, silent rage. There's your five movies that Chuck Norris did however there is also Delta Force, all of the missing in action movies, breaker breaker, Slaughter in San Francisco. Sidekicks, hero and a terror, firewalker, Code of Silence, end Invasion USA just to name a few more. Although Chuck Norris can never be discredited for his competition record. He does not however as you have mentioned no street fighting credits and I can tell you, with utmost confidence that Chuck Norris would not without a doubt survive a street fight against Bruce Lee. Bruce Lee's street fighting record I believe is far more Superior than Chuck Norris's competitive record. Because competition has rules and limitations, street fighting does not.. it is an all-out brawl no rules no regulations and clearly Bruce Lee would dominate that Arena against Chuck Norris or any other martial artists. But it is most unfortunate and sad that we will never get to see that, rest in Eternal peace sifu Bruce Lee.

Bullshit.
Im a major Chuck Norris fan love his films but lets be honest here as good as Chuck is there is no way he could have lasted against Bruce Lee. In my opinion Bruce was a one off.
Chuck is a great martial artist, but Bruce was on a whole different level 👍
@@StripeyR 100% nobody could have beat Bruce.
Neither Lee or Norris were real fighters so the point is moot
Yes,Chuck is a tourney fighter but Bruce was way, way, beyond just a fighter.if u look at Bruces films, his stance, punching& kicking, even gestures are far different than ANY fighting champion.
Bruce's real reason of success and superstardom was simply that he could convey his super developed abilities in his movement and actions. Intuitive people can just see it, plain as that. Of course ignorant people will always argue and deny.
It's arrogance and envy jealousy and ego that may get in our way to admit things
@@gradyhernandez4699 You can lead by example here, by admitting you never saw Bruce fight for real. Do you admit that ?
Prove he was a street fighter. But before you attempt that feat look up the meaning of the word proof. Go ahead I'll wait
While its accepted he had some fights growing up as a kid (like many kids) nobody can verify if it was 2 fights or 10. What do kid fights even mean?
Still waiting for your proof
@@cuzz63 True. Only one fight can be verified. Lee fought Wong Jack Man another Kung Fu teacher.
Aside from that there is no proof that Lee ever fought anyone else. Unless you want to listen to rumors, or take compliments from other fighters saying he was fast and strong to mean he actually had fights.
@@johnreidy2804,
Well, that makes Bruce Lee having one fight more than Chuck Norris, who admitted himself that he never had to use his martial arts skills as he never got into a fight.
Thanks for clarifying the issue. I always knew Chuck Norris was lying about not sparring with Bruce Lee .
I appreciate your honest comment on B.L. a lot of people are missing these points.
Chuck norris and bob wall both have said that chuck norris has never been in a real fight. Point karate only. No contact.
Chuck has something in common with Bruce then. Neither are proven full contact fighters.
@@THEMARTIALARTSCHANNEL-bb4fx He sparred against his students but there are no details of him doing hard sparring with any notable fighters. Definitely no evidence of real fights against notable fighters.

No reason why he should be unhappy about getting beat. It was only a movie
Great video Stripey. I totally agree, ego is definitely a major factor in all these guys saying what they say. Chuck is fantastic but lets not forget his early tournament wins were points based. Everyone will have an opinion, but the influence Bruce had in Martial Arts in unequalled.

Great video. Bruce was immensely skilled and fluid.
Thank you 👍 agreed 👍
It’s hilarious to see Chucky in interviews claiming he was a REAL fighter and Bruce Lee somehow wasn’t. More hilarious when in the same interview Chucky also claiming he has never used his karate outside of training and tournaments. We all know that back in thr 60s and 70s karate tournaments did not allow full contact and were scored via point counting. Not allowing real contact or striking is the main reason Bruce Lee had no interest in competing, basically because Bruce was a REAL fighter.
Who did he fight in these REAL fights ??

The people bruce taught elevated thier marshall art.
chuck as never admited that he was bruce lee's student, in every interview he always said he was just an actor.
He was an actor though where as Chuck was an actual fighter and competed in tournaments.
He acted in his first movie in 1968
@@bearsbantertalkshow1497 everyone knows he practiced martial arts. He didn't compete though
About Bruce's street record:
It was actually 34-1, and the sparring 30-0.
Thanks for the correction, mate. I'm tryin to get the facts straight on here (for us Bruce fans) again ,thank you 👍
Chuck Norris was/is good. But he only competed in points karate. This is very different from full contact or street fighting. Bruce was before his time. Many of his techniques & philosophies are used in the UFC today

MR.

Hello you there Dion Tillman here Bruce loved Chuck,
Norris likes to say he was a professional fighter....he was a point fighter. There is a difference. Joe Lewis is the only real fighter of the time that actually gave Bruce Lee his due as a fighter and as teacher to him.
As a teacher yes. As a fighter, here is what Joe said. "Bruce was not a fighter, he was a great teacher"
Bruce was just an actor nothing more. Let it go.
Thank you for your good work as always.
As a JKD fighter, I literally laugh because I spar full contact, and I know "karate champs in the 60s" were just point sparring nerds. Complete joke
Superfoot Bill Wallace stated that as well. All these proclaimed World champions had to do was point fight 2/3 guys from Chicago. 😂 Bam you're a world champion.
@@mig1017 Wallace was not impressed with Bruce, he had no interest in him. Probably because Bruce did not fight full contact, while Bill did.
Bruce was in Thailand and avoided the Thai fighters. He also avoided the Kyokushin Karate fighters who regularly fought full contact bare knuckle.
@@cuzz63In those days, karate was literal ... Empty Hand. Nobody wore pads or gloves.

Hi Stripey, whats your opinion on bruce lee being murdered, I know it's a touchy subject, but could be a subject to touch on. All the best. Phil.
Another great video Stripey! I'm not sure if you've seen this, but William Cheung even says @ 13:34 of this clip that Bruce Lee told him via letters that they wrote to eachother, that he fought Chuck Norris and defeated him and that's how he became his student:

Thank you 👍
Great job!
Thank you 👍
Chuck didn’t want to go over there 😖because Bruce flying kick would had sent him over there 🤕🤣
A good lesson in life is don’t be afraid to be honest. If they were honest people wouldn’t see them less but more then if they lied.
Let's see how honest you are ? Have you seen Bruce fight for real ??
@@stevo62fulI’m always honest so don’t judge me on that. Second did I say I saw him fight no I didn’t I’m going on what people said who did see him fight and not on all of those who didn’t.
@@itsgleneaton4883 Who saw him fight ?
@@stevo62ful Theres many interviews on the people who knew and worked with Bruce as well as saw him fight. But I must say it’s just my observation but that’s it because whoever is king of the hill doesn’t interest me.
@@itsgleneaton4883 you say "many interviews" But you haven't named anyoneone who saw him in a real fight !! If there are "many interviews" What names did they give, and what were the details of these fights ??
I like the Chuck Norris movies that I have seen such as The Octagon, Good Guys Wear Black, Lone Wolf McQuaid, The President's Man one two and three, and the TV series Walker Texas Ranger, but I feel Chuck Norris lied when he said he taught Bruce Lee high kicks, when Bruce Lee already know how to do high kicks. Like I said before I feel people are lying about Bruce Lee saying that they taught him so they can put their names out there. They need to stop that foolishness.
Chuck Norris was not even Bruce Lee's first choice when it came to Way of the Dragon, Joe Lewis was but he turned it down.
You have to look at Jim Kelly’s video stating that Bruce sparred all of these guys and he was untouchable. He did t name names to not embarrass anyone
in fairness the Bee gees did nick the hairy chest thing off of Chuck. So technically there was Chucksploitation.
Mike Stone did American Ninja movie
Both Mr.
Mike Stone did some movies actually.
Awesome!
stripey gene showed his most effective judo techniques to bruce
Brilliant stripey.
Thank you 👍
When the Big cat is away the mice will play...anybody can talk shit about Bruce now that he's not around.
