This does not have a multi link rear suspension. It has a solid axel. They did have independent suspension on second gen but they switched to solid rear axel for this new gen in order to lower costs by having the same rear end for tundra and sequoia, plus it allows a locking read diff. But that's also why you cant fold the third row flat into the floor like you could in the second gen which to me is a huge negative. I love my second gen because I can stick a washing machine or large furniture in there from the store. Can't do that now with how the third row sticks up like that which is kind of the point of getting a full size suv like this. Dumb decision on Toyotas part imo....
The new Sequoia does have multi link rear suspension with the solid axle
@@jasonc7544 that is just fancy marketing jargon for "doesn't have independent rear suspension". Toyota f**ked up big time.
@@drw1926 I agree, Toyota screwed the pooch with the new Sequoia. They should have stuck with IRS to allow reasonable space for both cargo and passengers in the third row. I’m sure the rear solid axle makes it more off-road worthy and greater towing capacity but I would personally value the third row space over that. Currently looking around other SIV’s now.

Jeff, Making the TRD Off Road package available across the Sequoia range was an excellent decision.
Only thing is, you can’t pick and chose like on Toyota website. They’re allocated sadly

Interesting to see that you have both TRD Off-Road package and Pano Roof on it as when I recently tried to build it online in Limited Trim, it won't give me an option to choose both. It is one or the other.
Is it possible to have a TRD Off Road package with 20 inch wheels instead of the 18 inch wheel?

is the instrument panel screen already scratched ? it looked like it got wiped with a dirty microfiber cloth and scratched the whole thing! I'm hoping it has a plastic cover over it, but it looks like it's already scratched up bad 😵💫
Really wish they gave you a non-hybrid option; that way you can put the 3rd row seats in the floor. Otherwise, looks sharp!

Yes, I love the look of this new Sequoia. I think this was a huge improvement from the previous model and a very long overdue upgraded that was very much needed to be done. I love how this is a limited model and turned it into a TRD model. My two biggest issues with this is the price they want. The pricing for these new vehicles is getting crazy how much more expensive they are getting and making it harder to for a person to be able to buy one. Also, I just saw a video a guy did who just got a new sequoia in the capstone model and loves it for what all it has on it and stuff but really dislikes the gas mileage it gets. He said he paid $80,000 for it and it only gets around 20mpg which is not that great considering this is a new hybrid engine. I would think it would do a little better than that or at least hope it would. I would like to see them get between 25-30 at least if possible. This is one of the biggest reasons I love my 2020 Rav4 XSE is because it's a hybrid and get around 37-38 mpg. Because of that makes it really hard to go to a vehicle like that. I am hearing possibly that the new 2024 Rav4 models might be getting the new body style change and really hoping they do. I am really excited to see what kind of changes they will make. I know a few things they could possibly change up a bit that I think would make it look even a little better than it is now. Have you heard anything about the new Rav4 and any body style changes coming.
That last gen sequoia got 13-14 MPG….20 is amazing!

No. The shelf can be used to make a flat cargo area.

like it ...toyota went back to the soild rear axel but the 3rd row seats take up way to much room when folded want to build a car camper overlander but cant bolt down my slide out fridge on top of the folded down 3rd row bad design , seats are as bad as a Lc200

@@chrisd5383 Yeah...that's been a dealer to dealer issue. I've seen some that haven't marked up at all and those are the ones that have gotten my reco or my business back. Including maintenance.
