This music is in my blood. I grew up with it. I later did family research and learned my family came from Transylvania, moving there from Bavaria and then to America. They were full of Central European/German vitality. That world is gone. But, I feel it. Best, Mark
So happy! My dad taught me how to waltz to this piece when I was little. It always reminded me of a carousel. In fact, I still dance the waltz and I still love the carousel and whenever the fair comes aroumd, I always make sure to ride it and pick the prettiest "horsie". I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm still a little girl at heart, especially when I hear this waltz. :)
In the beginning I literally thought of Shrek when they're "eating" and having family time 😂

I like to look back at old Tom and Jerry episodes and try to find the music, and I'm glad I found this, it's really a nice piece. One of the main reasons I'm into classical is Tom and Jerry, love that show to bits!

I find myself listening to all types of music and enjoying it, from Rap music to reggae, to electronica, but Classical music and music from the 20s and 30s. It just makes me feel so warm inside. Beautiful. Stunning. This is why this music lives on for decades and more to come.

That's actually Sleeping Beauty Waltz: by Tchaikovsky.
I think you both are right because that episode includes Sleeping Beauty Waltz (Tchaikovsky) and Voices of Spring Waltz (Strauss).

The first time I heard this on radio was when my family was going for dinner and I said Voices of Spring. Everyone’s response was “how did you know that?”. From the Three Stooges of course with Curly as Senorita Cookaracha. Laughter erupted

Strauss and Tchaikovsky had such similar styles, but they were pretty much contemporaries. Who influenced who? Or was it just the romantic era?
