Her singing is definitely piercing and loud enough. There is no mic on her for this recording. The reason she can sing so high is because she's not over- doing breath support, and she's lightening/using more head voice as she sings higher. You can also see how released her jaw is. I'm a voice teacher, and YES, her technique is phenomenal. You cannot sing that high with so much ease unless you are doing things right. Her voice is a gift to all of us.
That is the symbol of German superiority in all fields of music, engineering and arts.

The beauty of her timbre and her superior singing technique are attached to an unheard-of german diction, simply unbelievable. And when a singer is gifted with a perfect technique you sometimes have the feeling of a certain detachment. Not with her! The listener has the impression that every word comes from the depths of her heart. Soo rare to be heard! I have been a fan of her for so many years.
I had heard many sopranos singing this birdlike Strauss waltz but i was never mesmerized till I listen to this great colatura soprano. Its so relaxing I almost fall asleep.
She is the Leonardo da Vinci of this entire concept of singing arts - of this genre of musical art. This is medicine for many emotional illnesses. Just watch some of her singing performance charming miracles, and you are cured.
She is marvelous here, her voice is so girlishly light and effortless in joyful expression. Patricia Janeckova is awesome too, but Ingeborg is the queen of this song.
Squiddles8 Absolutely. I love her femininity, it's awesome. Always sings and looks so elegant. You can hear her smiling while she sings. A true master of her craft.

@@thephantomoftheopera7887 Yes, Sack is also phenomenally good, but I still like Ms. Hallstein's way of singing better; she sings with a little more ease.
Diction disappeared after the 1960s. In French, it's the same: up until that time, if you listened to the singers, you could understand every word of the libretto from beginning to end. Today, when you listen to them, it's not even that you can't understand what they're saying: you don't even know what language they're singing in.
@@fan2jnrc Now, they are too focused on singing higher and higher which means they must find way to make words easier to sing thus sacrifice diction in the process.
I was looking for a great rendition of this song and this is definitely it! She was indeed outstanding! I'm looking to see more of her stuff and I see you have posted a lot! Thank you for sharing this. She was just on another level. Technique and performance excellent. Just wow!
I've only recently been enthralled by this phenomenal woman!! Her voice is crystal clear especially in the high tessitura! Rare quality for one so young, as she is here! I'm a fan!
Beautiful version with some excellent highs! Patricia Janeckova's version which I set as my introduction to this song must have given me this suggestion.
just think how bad music has gotten. from this glorious beauty to the vacuous auto-tuned nonsense of today. how far we've fallen. i got into classical music a few years ago, I'm only 37 so i got here just in time. i have a playlist that makes me cry when i listen to it. completely and utterly magnificent. words fail to express the feelings that classical music forces onto you

Es gibt so viele bessere Sopranistinnen: Renate Holm, Anneliese Rothenberger, Erna Berger, Elfie Mayerhofer, Marta Eggerth, Regula Mühlemann u.v.a.

Her technique is phenomenal. So clear and bright yet not piercing/loud.
Exactly, how she do that???
@@cyaonix Bel Canto technique. It enables you to sing clearly

Magnificent voice and tone. And so beautiful too. A true stunning soprano
Fantastisch!

I love her German diction. It's so clear. I can understand every single word she sings, even at high tessitura passages, unlike Natalie Dessay.
