For the most authentic great food, the Mirch Masala in a place called Norbury. The area is a complete rat town, so its completely unexpected to find that place stands WAY out from everything, the only downside is its ALWAYS packed with customers - Indian customers - a great sign its not only authentic its good. Last time i drove through on my way back into London (A23) I noticed a farm truck outside, I think but don't know as i didn't stop but they are getting the freshest possible meat, the truck was the fridge type not the freeze type, meaning meat was fresh as can be from a farm.
Thought i would share my find with people, as stated don't hang around the area itself, but visit the restaurant you will enjoy the food.

That chain is overrated for me. Their main Karahi dishes are just too mainstream and the flavour is less intense even compared to a place like LK (in Tooting) and the more well-known Masala Zone.
It doesn't even hold a candle to Jamavar; their sauces have to be tasted to be believed, so fresh, vibrant and flavour intensive with everything in almost Perfect balance (you can request for less or more spice to your liking).
