This brings me back to my childhood. I collected all of the food erasers back when Daiso still wasn’t here in the U.S. I had to go to one of the few Asian bookstores in the area that would stock Iwako erasers and not the knock-off brands. I still have them to this day. Glad to see a bit of how they’re made.
I'm glad you went back to childhood for a while.
I use to buy these at SanRio in the mall.
When I used to catch colds and have to go to the hospital, I used to feel terrible. However, during one of my hospital stays, the nurse gave me a cute eraser. It may seem like a small gesture, but it brought me immense joy and lifted my spirits. To this day, I remember the kindness of that nurse and the happiness I felt. It's one of the reasons why I want to become a doctor - to bring comfort and joy to patients, just like that nurse did for me.
woah, I used to have those erasers in elementary school!! I really like the cake ones and they are too pretty to be use as eraser so I used them as toy lol. It's really nice to find out how to make them😊
made in japanは最高です!
It's so inspiring to see such a relatively small scale operation be so popular all around the world. Keep up the good work!
NO don't keep on polluting the planet with unnecssary shit. YOU'RE THE PROBLEM you FUKWIT
The biggest surprise for me is knowing somewhere in the 1st world economy there's a country which can make colored erasers with multiple parts with assembly required and be a profitable business as well!!! You have to love Japan, All good things come from Japan!!!
I (an American) live in Switzerland, and it sometimes surprises me the things that are still manufactured here, given the high labor costs. (For example, plastic tubs, storage bowls, etc; laundry detergents and the like; and of course the famous tool industry, both pocket knives, but also things like the best screwdrivers in the world, which aren’t even that expensive.) Honestly, I sometimes think that it’s less that manufacturing companies _can’t_ be profitable in first world countries, but rather that most are so very greedy that they go abroad so they can make even more profit. We’ve become conditioned to think things would be unaffordable if manufactured domestically, when in fact they definitely could be in many cases.
Japan still makes a LOT of it's own stuff. Even in 100 yen shops, a lot of the products are made in Japan. I think it's a reflection of Japan's long history of craftmanship, the quality of the product is what's important, not so much making as much money as you can from it. And what better way to ensure quality than to do it yourself?
“All good things come from Japan!” You mean Pearl Harbor? 🙄
Yes, but no
@@nativejapaneseweeb5544 That doesn't change the fact that it happened. Japan did a lot of terrible things and a lot of good things, just like every other country.
Even the boxes are taped so neatly. Only in Japan ❤
this is KOREA

@@salvat8062 you mean you’re in North Korea so am blind?

I would have REALLY loved this when I was a child. Children these days, are so blessed.
Very interesting! This is the first video I've seen that included the mold assembly (springs, pins, etc.). I've always wondered how that worked. Thanks!
Me too
Same

Nostalgia how we all bought those types of fancy eraser but never dare to use them
The Japanese really do lead the field in many arts and crafts areas. For example the finest beads, that I use in my jewellery creations come from Japan, they are also producing some amazing watercolours of late and as for their brushes, I have a number now that I really just can’t do without
Japanese stationery is also the best in the world. Knives and scissors are also very good.
@@こりす-m7c I agree just purchased a pair of the best fine detail scissors I have ever used from Japan!
My grandchildren love this cute animal shaped eraser ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
I buy lot of art suplies especially eraser and mecanical pencil. I'm obsessed i love this. Japan always has the very unique stuff ever
I LOVED collecting these when i was a kid
Oh my! Assembling cute erasers all day would be sooo nice! A break from handling spreadsheets.
But look at their fingers tho. If you've touched erasers u know they are not comfortable to touch cuz it's made from rubber so your fingers will constantly create friction, and handling erasers for hours wouldn't be fun anymore. I guess with gloves maybe
I don’t know why I never realized it, but it makes sense that the erasers are assembled by hand. There’s something really special to me about learning that these little staples of my childhood were first put together by someone before I would take apart and reassemble them while fidgeting in class.
woah the molds seems way more complicated than I'd imagine for such simple product.
Simple? I thought its actually kinda hard
I used to love collecting erasers. That last step where they're assembling all the pieces looks kinda fun for a little while.
In Taiwan, a set of erasers is $150
I bought the erasers they make, each one can be disassembled, so cute🥰
Hope to buy other series in the future
Thank you for watching!
I love these erasers, it’s so nice to see how they are made!
I was so surprised at the end when they actually used it as an eraser, because I always collected them and refused to use them since they were too cute! I didn't want to hurt them! 🤣
Would you believe I have same type of eraser not used even once ...i guess it's with me for 20 years... I'm now 25 yrs old
Childhood collectable, nice.
The 128√e980 thing is cool, I've never seen that. Also amazing that so much careful work goes in to making a simple little eraser. Very neat!
Glad to see that they're being resourceful and recycling the excess bits.
Very intesting! This is the first video l've seen

What a great job to put together erasers parts and packing the boxes. I wouldn’t mind doing that at all!
Incredible. I love logistics and efficient workflow design of everything from production to marketing.
I had the ones that were little cakes!!! I used to use them as props for my barbies, because i didn't know they were erasers haha.
These erasers are too kawaii - I wouldn’t want to use them at work 😂
I like Japan making . Hassan from Iraq
I remember, my family after a work trip from Japan, brought this gift (character eraser) like this video. the aroma is fragrant and it's a pity if it is used to remove, hahaha
Que lindo, es impresionante
they be lookin like toys and finna be the best erasers you've ever used 😤👌👌👌 GOLD
Me encantó, saludos desde Uruguay 🇺🇾
Hello 👋 thank you for the tour! I really enjoy your products, they bring me so much joy and nostalgia too.
Thank you for watching:)
The machine picking up the scraps is so cute 🥺
The cat ones are so cute :3
I remember my teacher giving me the pig eraser to use in class but it was so cute I didn’t want to use it. 😂
I want to work assembling erasers and boxing them now. Repetitive work would be so good for my brain. And the erasers are cute. I'd have fun everyday.
i always had the conventional rectangular erasers, and they worked well. But these are really cute
Recycling at its best.👍
I had these designs when I was a kid!
I love it, is cute
8:55 Love how they are so efficient with the tape where we usually would leave quite an excess.
I can buy it at stationery store in Taiwan, erasers are so cute. I love them.❤
love plastic's that will outlive me
