Singer-songwriter George Thorogood sat down with the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's 2023 Artists In Residence for a writing workshop, providing guidance and insight as the Artists hone in on their craft.

Ok so get this. Way way back a buddy and myself drove out to Marshfield Mass to see a group named Johnny Barnes and the Steel Rail Blues. It was a cold stormy night with a small crowd. The opening act was not immediately recognizable but there were some late night recordings we heard and yes it was lonesome George. 3 piece band and he sat on a stool. Was not much longer before he went big.
