Another secret is SUNLIGHT. For a great job, I never perform interior detailing indoors where you just cant see clearly enough. Out in the open, you will note all the little details. If its too hot, switch on the air conditioner, and work in comfort. If not, take note of all the problem areas, and then do it in your garage or shaded area. After completion, recheck under bright sunlight.
So, you just high-pressure all that liquid detergent into your door panels and dash? GREAT IDEA. Gotta keep all those switches, relays and servos nice and damp, eh?
actually he could have dried better. You dont want any of the wet product there to dry up because all the dirt that got picked up by the product will simply reattach itself to the cleaned surface..by using compressed air you're either blowing it onto other area's or even making the product dry faster. If by proffessional they mean being pinched for time which is money then this could work, but if you want to really do a good job then you'll want to actually wipe off as much as possible I think
You are right, if you want this professionally made, you have to protect all the electronics. The way this has to be done is by spraying less amount of cleaner, and while you are agitating the liquid with a brush, a vacuum cleaner has to be used to suck as much as you can of dirt and cleaner, it's a matter of having the cleaning power of the degreaser or whatever else you use and at the same time keeping everything dry. I use this technique in my own cars and I used it when I was working as a professional car detailer many years ago.
+Vladotc Exactly. Allthough I don't have a vacuum that can take liquids so i dont spray the electronics directly. Instead I just spray some onto the brush, whip off excess detergent and then clean it and then wipe it off straight away
I use a blow gun that is osha approved and you can use degreaser as long as you treat the vinyl and leather when your done you will be fine. Just no armor all or products bought from a store. Always use a detail product vendor. I recommend Auto Magic
Everybody wants their car to look brand new at all times. However, sometimes most people don't have time to make it look brand new. In these cases, it's important to remember that you also have the option of getting help from a pro. If your car need a detail, we can help!
Multi purpose cleaners kill the surface, you should be use an enzyme cleaners. And use a detail gun such as a toreador, I professionally detail cars. And never use a multi-purpose cleaner.
Not necessarily true. Diluted APCs can be used to clean many interior surfaces BUT you must wipe again with a damp cloth to remove any chemical residue on those surfaces.

+JK Low yes, otherwise you will be really disappointed next morning when you see the car :)
Never thought of spraying detail stuff with cleaner and bowing out. Good idea, should work better than dry dusting. Thanks
Use electric tape to wrap around the metal part of the brush to prevent any damage to the car

if you open your car door on a rainy day it will get wetter than he got it. he dried it with a cloth before getting the compressed air near it.
