You know thinking about it, these two bards would actually make a really good combo together, they overlap just enough to have some really good synergy.
Party leader: Bard set the Tone. Bard: _start's with a guitar plinking_ _sudden guitar and bass shreds_ _threatening piano play_ "... We shoot with out a gonne. We'll take on anyone. Showing some double d12 love at 15th level, nice.(an under utilised die) Double Goat (conjure animals, two giant goats), disguise kit for KISS make-up, pyrotechnics: hypnotic pattern and faerie fire. Cool subclass.
Wish this was in DnD beyond. I just started my first bard and am loving it thanks to all the DND parody song shorts and Ai DND new songs too. This sub would be cool though.
This is rockin! 🤘 I would 1000% play a Bard if this was real. I may even steal the idea. Lol. Also, I would love to possibly see a whole series devoted to "homebrew guide to 'X' class". It would be extremely informative.
So, I made my metal bard a magical DPS machine with a special guitar weapon that dealt thunder damage, and a feature which effectively let them take all of the thunder and lightning damage spells. Their 14th level ability let them summon a spectral warband that did massive AOE thunder and lightning damage.
😂😂😂 When most people make The Grintch build or so. But our man here brings us a plasant surprise out of XMASSS. 😂😂😂 Thanks, and keep the great job you do!!
My next character I have had in my back pocket for years now just got the okay from my buddy who is DMing. His name is Halfthor (pronounced with a hard L, so like Halph) 'The Hellscreamer' Dio, a Goliath bard of the College of Metal. There are actually some very solid college of metal guides fleshed out on some homebrew pages and I found one for 5e that is compatible. I'm so stoked to finally get to shred with him 🤘
I would love something like Command Undead but maybe at a slightly higher level, maybe starting with just 1 undead to command but leveling up as you go along to increase the number of enthralled dead. Or maybe even just a general advantage on spells that charm undead and monstrosities to REALLY drive home that Metal feel 😈 ~_
So it kind of depends on if you want to be more druid or if you want to be more monk, but they do mix fairly well together. My recommendation would be taking at least five levels of monks so that way you have extra attack, and then take at least two levels in druid to get the spore subclass because they mix pretty well. You want to get a little more wild with it you could always take three levels in thief rogue to get an extra bonus action for another attack since monks can do a punch as their bonus action. But if you're just mixing druid and monk that would probably be my recommendation, and you can decide what type of monk you want to be although I lean a little more towards way of the open hand
Just as a follow-up I should also note, that it does mix pretty great even if you're going a circle of moon druid if you want to go more druid, because even just a couple levels of monk will give you an armored defense so putting as many points into wisdom will help your armor class even in a wild shape form, but just kind of depends on your play style
Thank you I really appreciate the help it has been a struggle trying to find what works best and with the AC being unarmed wisdom based my stats spread should favor wisdom mostly?
@@wolvz_bane3459 if you're going more monk, I would focus more on dexterity, although wisdom is very important because the mixture of dexterity and wisdom adds to your armor class as a monk. But if you happen to be wild shaping, your dexterity is going to take on the form of whatever creature you turn into, but your wisdom will stay the same, so in that case you're going to want to focus a little more on wisdom
I have a suggestion and a request for you as a Christmas wish I have can you do a DND character build on toji fushiguro from the anime jujutsu kaisen please
You know thinking about it, these two bards would actually make a really good combo together, they overlap just enough to have some really good synergy.
I think you're totally right the metal would take the front line, and the idol would be some serious support boosting
Oh... My.... God..... I need this!
I added a few finer details on the print out on my patreon, just to make it a little more balanced, but hopefully it's useful to you either way
Yep, making this Bard a boss encounter, busting out some Emperor and Slayer.
Party leader: Bard set the Tone.
Bard:

_sudden guitar and bass shreds_
_threatening piano play_

Someone of culture i see
Some kind of subclass like this is absolutly needed in dnd!

I was definitely thinking about throwing in some kiss references, but I'm glad somebody else mentioned them
So it's official. My family's party will be facing off against an orc metal bard commanding a legion of undead groupies.
Not gonna lie, this is legit Eddie Riggs with the Marceline guitar axe right from the jump but I love this shit.
Love this! Really lovw the flavouring of the Axe Guitar! My very first bard had an axe guitar :,3
Wish this was in DnD beyond. I just started my first bard and am loving it thanks to all the DND parody song shorts and Ai DND new songs too. This sub would be cool though.
Was just thinking all this needs now is an axe guitar! Nice! Everything I was thinking of especially the mosh pit and spells!

I may have to do some more homebrew classes then!
This along with the ichigo build are absolutely ones I want to try out. I love this build and it’s an awesome idea.

A while back, ~v.3.5, I made a warforged bard named Ozzmium. Might be time to dust him off and update him.
I’m actually going to build the BBEG of a heavy metal themed one shot I’m running next weekend off of this build! Thanks for the inspo!
I just made Eddie Riggs, but combo warlock with college of swords/axe. Spell to add for me was summon beast. Doesn't really come "online" till level 8
I was literally looking for something like this
Dwarven music in my world is metal music so I wanted a heavy metal bard
Gotta have some kind of Animate Dead type ability called Wake the Dead.
Really cool video
Thanks!
AWESOME!
Thanks!
@@dndbuilds Love your content as always
I imagined Eddy from Brütal Legends, which is fitting for this build.
I want this class so bad!!!
I don’t really know a spell specifically but something to do with summoning storms or lightning

Lol glad you liked the surprise, and thanks so much for the praise
@@dndbuildsU put a smile on my face today. ❤
It would be dope to do a build on the dragon god from jobless reincarnation.
So, you want to give your COLLEGE OF METAL bard martial weapon... Give him profficiency with all HEAVY martial weapons.
That would have been a smarter route I think, and some cool flavor
I need a document that lists everything I'm so forgetful HHAHAHA i need this
Would you know how to make your naofumi build in bg3, I dont know how to set it up
Is there a link for this
Time to make Ronnie James Dio and flavor the axe to be a microphone.

Hey I just started playing baldur's gate 3 and I really want to do a monk druid but I am struggling to figure out what works best

I don’t suppose there’s a chance you could try and make a DND build for Ultron?
I have a suggestion and a request for you as a Christmas wish I have can you do a DND character build on toji fushiguro from the anime jujutsu kaisen please
Ik this may be a rough one but I have always wanted to play lancer from Fate/zero. Anychance you can make him?
Day 1 of asking for a minato build
