Wow that is an incredible looking VL. I had the ex cop car version and would every so often get pulled over by the cops and they literally just wanted to look it over. This was in the late 90s when these things were in their prime. I’ve never had a car I loved more than my VL and wish I never sold it 😢

0:53 My VL always has either a rear brake light or parker light not working also 😂
Same deal on my VH. Swapped it over to VK SS lights many years ago. I cut a better condition loom out of a VL from a wreckers and got newer light fittings from any model up to a VZ. The ground contact points are a real issue if is isn't the wiring going into the plugs themselves. After doing all that the lights have been well sorted since.
Yes,I want to restore my VL Commodore again & it needs stripping down as far as yours,I'm not sure how to cut the rust out from underneath the rear 1/4 window garnishes other than neatly cutting it out then cutting the rust out of the frame underneath the actual shell then welding the 1/4 windows back into place.
I'm not sure what else to do to it since Holden just relied on a piece of sponge to stop water 💧 from making it down into the boot of the car, it's actually an air vent & I don't think that it should actually be blocked up.

its not their fault entirely, covid has been a bitch so they wouldn't have been able to go out and film, they also need cars to do the videos on... no cars = no videos
