I like the van but I really love the ranchero 😮. I had in resent years a 1964 Falco futura I sold, for a lot less than it’s worth but a really nice guy bought it and loves it. Mission accomplished 😊. The 64s had stainless steel trim and not Crome , except for the bumpers and it looked great all the time. 2dr. hard top with V-8 auto trans and drove and ran great,,,after I done some mechanic work on it, myself cause that was my growing up era and my dad was a mechanic so I knew all the tuning and running gear of this car. Health problems made me give it up along with my motorcycle. Now I watch Ions videos and remember that feeling of the finished project. Love your videos and your imagination.
I believe in restoring a vintage Van but always with a carefully pre selected combination of colors and materials ! I would paint the Van in a mint-green 60´s coloration, yellow head light glasses, a black Interieur, green colored windows, a air-condition under the seats and a solar panel on the roof, which is a self gluing foil, cheap and easy to install on the Roof storage container for food, grill, drinks and a lot more ! A modern awning along the right door side, a flat tv computer screen and a HD sound system. And finally a vertically surf board holder on outside the tail!
If I could have one of those cars, it would be that van/truck that the upholstery guy had. With the falcon truck being a close second, and probably the better choice, but the chop on that van/truck was just perfect on that vehicle.
Like Bill, I've had a bunch of the Falcons and Econolines. They're so much fun to work on and then drive and when you're done, they're super easy to sell.
Great cars! Great show! Great work! Thanks Ian. I really like the way you take us through these builds, and the relationships you have with your friends and customers?
YOU REMIND ME OF A YOUNGER ME... MY FIRST ROD WAS A 1966 CHEVY VAN.. I PUT A 235 CU. IN... BORED, TRIPLE CARBED DRAG MOTOR... NOT EASY SWAP... SOLID MOTOR MOUNTS, AIR SHOCKS FROM A CHEVY2... I SPENT $300 ON THE VAN... NO MORE THAN $300 ON PARTSX, STC. WHy A MONSTER... I WAS HOOKED.. SO I VOT INTO HARLEYS. CHOPPER TIME.. I BUILT SAFE, COMFORTABLE CHOPS.
IAN DAT MAN ALWAYS SEEMS TO AMAZE ME ALL DA TIIME ON HIS UNIQUE BUILDS 💯 KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK YOU DO ALL OF THE TIME HUURAAH 💯 👍👍👍👍👍😎 🫡 🔥🔥🔥👑 IAN DA KING OF CUSTOMS 🇺🇲🇺🇸 🇺🇸
I'm surprised you didn't incorporate how the motorcycle would ride in the van - plated centerpiece on the floor and tie-down mounts welded to the floor.
Using tie downs is a big mistake. Slide a bike stand under the frame and hook two eye bolts to the pegs and floor. One peg one eye bolt that you turn to tighten. That way you don't blow shock seals from being compressed.
Fuel i jection was a mistake. Old enfines just were not designed for it. I wrnt fuel injection 15 years ago and abour 3 years ago i wrnt back to carbs. 3x2 to be exact. 2 pontiacs and a small block chevy. Have a 468 chevy with a 2x4 tunnel ram, im done with fuel injection.
They should have made a 'no music' version of these episodes. The non stop hard rock is grating. And playing music over people talking doesnt make any sense.
Man sorry to be a downer i just need to vent because i get emotionally triggered simply by the fact that Ian is such a cool as a fan type of guy who reminds me of many of my friends who have passed away; and i just needed to express how bad it sucks whats been done to California by the absolute crayon eaters in charge..im born and raised in south Ga so am worlds apart from the Cali scene mindset but i can tell me and Ian probably wouldve been good friends if we had grown up together and would probably share one or two "tune in, and drop out" moments✌️..sad that all of the solid Cali folks like this are getting literally ran out of what used to be the greatest state in the U.S.
@ac-twig thanks for the feedback, its just such a bummer that this FREAK Gavin Newsome has any kind if authority over what really has been the coolest state in America, and thats coming from a small town boy that's only been to L.A. once for a few days..I just wish all you dreamers the best in turning this around one day
Sorry for your lost. I hope your memories will wormth your hearts for a long time. Lots of love to you

THAT'S WHY I CALL YOU THE WIZARD - YOU'RE AMAZING, WHEN IT COMES TO CUSTOMIZING!!!!👍👍
AWESOME GUYS EVERYONE THAT PUT THEIR TOUCHES IN 👏 😀 👍
saw your show by luck . you know what your show does for me ......makes me smile . thank you
Both the van and the Falcon are Ian AWESOME. 😮
Beautifully upgrade! • The only thing I can figure it might need is some interior tie-downs for the motorcycles.
Ian, you never cease to amaze. I'd love to have both of these classic treasures... Can't wait to see more outstanding creations... Thank you...
what a transformation real nice
I am drooling all down the front of my shirt! I want them both!

Those are two amazing builds, nice work

would be great if i can shipped it here in the PH 😁😁😁
If the painter was so fussy he wouldn't of let Ian wipe it down with bare hands 😂
I saw that too so right we have oil on our hands

weres the like button
Who made the suspension kit ? Thanks R L

were the mufflers installed backwards '''' ? flowmasters center in,,, offset out ,,, ?,
I have a1966 econoline supervan.
Did anybody know if he put anything on the suspension any clear coat that's going to rust I've done three kits like that
How much did he sell the van for don't leave use hanging
Fold out rack rear for bike best
Shouldn’t the door handles have been removed before painting?
I never surfed but not sure the board will fit in that little storage area, might be sinking

Wow...Wow...Wow....I'll let the other guys write more....
So odd that a clunky van should be called a "Falcon". Especially to an Australian.
👍👍👍👍👍🫵🪨❤️ IT
Wouldn’t have wanted to sell the van to someone who’s going to mess it up putting a dirty motorcycle in it, but that’s just me.

I think the bumpers are crappy
