I'm one of those people who thinks cell phones are far too thin and far too slick they need to stop coating these things with Teflon. And the second thing is is the batteries have been undersized for about a decade they should have been at 6000 milliamp hours 5 years ago and should be on the order of 6.5 to 7 million amp hours right now phone companies are too busy cheap and out on everyone Samsung Apple are you paying attention the only one who really seems to be paying attention to battery size or anything battery related here in the United States is 1 + so. Congratulations one plus you're doing a great job Nothing would make me happier than to see Samsung and Apple collapse upon themselves
16 GB RAM as standard on Mac should have happened as soon as the RAM price fixing in 2018 and prior finally stopped. It is dumb that a single M1 Mac sold with 8. I’m proud of you for speaking up on this point, but let’s take it furhter!
It's great that they are now focusing on increasing the battery capacity, but I already have a Tank 3 Pro with a 23,800mAh battery 😂 It's a very heavy phone, but I don't mind carrying this monster in a shoulder bag (it's not meant for pants pockets).
Samsung needs to compete with Chinese Android competitors by actually upgrading their cameras to all sensors at least 50MP, offering higher capacity silicon-carbon batteries, faster charging, a 2TB storage option, 16-24GB RAM, emergency satellite connectivity, support all AptX & LHDC bluetooth codecs, and they should move the S Pen outside of the body of the S Ultra models so there is room for all of this whilst making them narrower in width (not thickness; current thickness is fine).
Do you think that at this point the companies could easily give us 10 000mAh batteries in the same form factor but instead they are "rationing" the increases so that every year they have something to sell the new phone with?
Nobody knows what you mean when you use mAh to compare phone batteries. Watt hours are where it’s at. ;) Although I do recall the iPhone 6s having 1700-1800 mAh before I changed units.
Sadly everyone is using mAh for battery capacity. It roughly works out with phones since they all have about the same voltage. But it doesn't work out as soon as that changes with like Laptops and such. And then some idiots come up and complain why a phone has 5000 mAh but their Laptop only has like 7000...
Huh. I'm curious how well these new batteries would work with Sony's Xperia battery care system. They're usually among the best for battery management. Also has anybody got any more info on the Sharp Aquos R9 pro? I saw a few places talking about it, but it's only speculation. I want to know if it's going to come to Europe, and how well those cameras perform.
I bought my SECOND iPHONE ever, first one I hated, I think it was an 11. got the 16 Pro Max in the base size since I found that when you trade in phones, they trade in at the same price regardless of storage option, and also my iPhone is my secondary number, where my S24 Ultra is my main phone. APPLE AI ain't what drew me into iPhone, it was the introduction last year of USB C, main reason why I gave up on the 11. Also, Apple now has a lot of Android features now, that make it better to use. Contemplating on making the iPhone the Main phone and the Samsung the Secondary one. While I like the freedom Android offers, it also means more things to screw up and too many variables there to figure out what combo was the bad combo. Where as I get older, now 36, I don't have time for that. Also, I totally forgot from my iPad Days, how when you sign into your new Apple device, EVERYTHING GETS BROUGHT OVER, EVERYTHING which saves so much time with not having to re-type router passwords, face id, fingerprints, etc. Even apps with passwords, you use them on one Apple device, the login credentials carry over.
Quite odd because I remember upgrading from a 10 yr old phone to a now 8 yr old phone and everything carried over with my Google account inc fingerprints
@@l_aggy What device? since it sure ain't a thing on Samsung, and I've been a Samsung loyalist for 14 years now. Even using their "SMART SWITCH" feature. Just did it back in April with my S23 Ultra and my S24 Ultra, and the fingerprints or router login credentials didn't carry over. Nor did my app passwords.
6000mAh? That's basically what I have now. My Poco F5 Pro has a 5160mAh one. I sure hope this new tech would net us a larger than 20% increase... Hell, my previous one was a Poco X3 NFC at the same size, but if I got the non-NFC, it actually had a 6000mAh one. In 2020.

6:23 I mean, it fits with Apple's demographic lol
I'd take a battery bump over a camera bump anytime
If efficiency is increasing with every new chip primarily because the transistor size is decreasing, why do phones keep needing bigger and bigger batteries these days? 🤔
Less charging, since you do not have to charge that often the battery lasts longer. Foldable phones, tablets, evolution.
@@downsouthlouisiana Makes sense 👍
I'm all for performance and massive battery, as a gamer all I need is amazing battery backup. Current smartphones are great and all but I want more, which is beneficial for me a lot cuz I'll have to charge less and play more which in turn prevents less degradation overtime. Let the 10000 mAh battery come, then I guess, I'll be happy.
If you want to learn how to code, cursor ai is the only tool you need.
Samsung taking notes from Apple, release the same phone minor upgrades year after year, plus they throw in swelling batteries.
Their sales have been going down for a long time, they tried everything under the sun but no luck, only their budget phones sell well.
@@Hhhh22222-wtheir sales are going up but not for isheeps...They are no.1 Mobile seller in the world...
I've always said it. With CPU speed being fast enough, the only upgrade incentive it's battery life after a few years. Companies know that! As soon as my battery last 3 days, I won't upgrade for years 😅
Ever since I got the Z Fold 3 and sold it after having the screen replace from it cracking by itself I've wanted a Fold almost every day. I'm still not sure I can trust a foldable yet and I think if one comes out it'll really be hard to justify its price. There's work to be done for sure..
Thanks for the vid
This can do wonders for smaller, compact and lighter phones, and potentially they can make a comeback in a big way !!
Fun fact: Samsung M51 (India exclusive) had 7000mAh battery released in 2020, but not with Si-C battery
Samsung has made virtually no innovation in its foldables, makes sense that their market share drops significantly
They should use the battery tech to increase capacity in foldables
Awesome tech news recap as always! Please ask our friends at Brilliant to introduce a course on Electronics. I thought I would find one on the platform but, surprisingly, it doesn't exist.
Apple unintentionally made the most accurate possible ad for AI
I am super worried about the next gen of kids. I have found myself lately forcing myself to think through a problem so I can truly understand it instead of just asking ChatGPT.
Not sure why huge batteries are being praised. Huge batteries usually mean hugely inefficient processors and the battery has to be huge to compensate.
My phone already had a 6000 mAh battery, and it's like 2 years old.
Nintendo will go ahead and sue every creator that had Nintendo music in their video
1:07 Believe me and go back to my comment, this jump in battery does not include Samsung. If they do not reduce the capacity in the first place, it is a sick company or has become like this, and this applies to the S25 and S26 series
But will not be better battery life! they added bigger batteries because the new gen 8 elite is power hungry.
Great vid, music seems a lil too loud compared to usual.
Come on, produce 'smaller' phones as well that can fit into my pocket...
There's the zflip which can do that
imagine how much longer smartphones would last if not for ad infested apps who either monitor ur usage constantly and send data back and forward
Do we have enough silicon to pass around to be making batteries with them?
7:30 - I would argue that apparently when* (not if) the internet says they hate you, then you make money. Quite a paradox innit?
Redmagic 10 will have 7k battery
I'm one of those people who thinks cell phones are far too thin and far too slick they need to stop coating these things with Teflon. And the second thing is is the batteries have been undersized for about a decade they should have been at 6000 milliamp hours 5 years ago and should be on the order of 6.5 to 7 million amp hours right now phone companies are too busy cheap and out on everyone Samsung Apple are you paying attention the only one who really seems to be paying attention to battery size or anything battery related here in the United States is 1 + so. Congratulations one plus you're doing a great job
Nothing would make me happier than to see Samsung and Apple collapse upon themselves
16 GB RAM as standard on Mac should have happened as soon as the RAM price fixing in 2018 and prior finally stopped. It is dumb that a single M1 Mac sold with 8. I’m proud of you for speaking up on this point, but let’s take it furhter!
5:20 you do realize that Intel and Apple made the thunderbolt standard together? Likely they both had a say in tb5, so this is not surprising
wait until solid state batteries come out
China is the leader when it comes to battery
That explains why Google is turning to Siiit...
Dont worry you can play warzone mobile for whopping 30mins on these big batteries
just get a pc for like $500 and you can play it forever
No on plays dead game , worst game in mobile....
It's great that they are now focusing on increasing the battery capacity, but I already have a Tank 3 Pro with a 23,800mAh battery 😂 It's a very heavy phone, but I don't mind carrying this monster in a shoulder bag (it's not meant for pants pockets).
2:47 I wonder what the purple bar represents
I'm wondering the same way too.
If only solid state batteries went commercial
Honor magic v4 could be 8000mah
Samsung needs to compete with Chinese Android competitors by actually upgrading their cameras to all sensors at least 50MP, offering higher capacity silicon-carbon batteries, faster charging, a 2TB storage option, 16-24GB RAM, emergency satellite connectivity, support all AptX & LHDC bluetooth codecs, and they should move the S Pen outside of the body of the S Ultra models so there is room for all of this whilst making them narrower in width (not thickness; current thickness is fine).
Are you sure there is a M4 MacBook Air? I would have been really interested in it - but I can't find it anywhere
No, they only updated the ram options for the Air version. You get more RAM for the same price I believe. But no new chip
And the Voltage? 3.7V, bit more, bit less? I wish we'd just use Wh, which stands for the amount of power.
Do you think that at this point the companies could easily give us 10 000mAh batteries in the same form factor but instead they are "rationing" the increases so that every year they have something to sell the new phone with?
5:40 Nothing has Nothing in the pipeline...
6000 is new for you people? I remember the joy of having them some 3 years ago
4:50 what is the benefit of 16 GB RAM if 8 of it are just gonna be used up by AI all the time anyway xD
Mac Air does not have M4, just 16GB RAM in base model
Nobody knows what you mean when you use mAh to compare phone batteries. Watt hours are where it’s at. ;) Although I do recall the iPhone 6s having 1700-1800 mAh before I changed units.
Sadly everyone is using mAh for battery capacity. It roughly works out with phones since they all have about the same voltage. But it doesn't work out as soon as that changes with like Laptops and such. And then some idiots come up and complain why a phone has 5000 mAh but their Laptop only has like 7000...
Unihertz Tank phones have entered the chat...
Apple isn’t calling its users idiots
It’s admitting
I think that Apple will put that silicone based battery in their pro max versions only and others will follow.
Making a phone half a millimeter thicker would make the battery massively bigger and gripping the phone easier while not looking any bigger really
the only thing i was waiting for
I bought my SECOND iPHONE ever, first one I hated, I think it was an 11. got the 16 Pro Max in the base size since I found that when you trade in phones, they trade in at the same price regardless of storage option, and also my iPhone is my secondary number, where my S24 Ultra is my main phone.
Wait a second but Tecno has had these in even their Pop 5 pro😅
Almost 50% of the topic here is about apple it was just spread across the video to make it seem short clips about apple
In 2020.
