I agree! I personally think the full price of about £46 is over the top, but Nyetimber seems to be so frequently discounted in the supermarkets that I pretty much never pay the full price for it.
Glad it wasn't a dud! I used to be a big fan of the Laurent Perrier Rose, but recently find it too sweet and a bit acrid (or something i do not have the vocabulary for), which in turn has put me off most Rose sparklings in general. Though i quite like the Graham Beck Rose still.
They are better than the other supermarkets for English sparkling! Some of the Sussex Waitrose stores stock local producers, even really small ones like Breaky Bottom.
Morrisons have, or had, an own label 2010 English sparkling that seems, using a bit of detective work, to originate from Nyetimber. It is really very good; I still have a couple of bottles bought on special offer for £18 (full price, £25). Have you tried it?
Another fine bottle and fine sunset 👏👏🍷thanks
Sounds very reasonable at c.30!

Ah Waitrose. Yes Tweedy. I expect nothing less. 😃

@@EnglishSparklingWine I liked the reverse Spinal Tap gag.
