Magnificent playing. It may seem strange for an English musician to say this, but there is no finer organ sounds than those produced by a classic French organ.
Peter yasin Great playing indeed. I do love the variety of tone available (and the Grand Jeux) but I'd also say that each period and organ school has its own splendour.
To Peter Adams and Chris Bond: there are many 'classic' French organs, with their astounding qualities, unique in the world. Now, with Hauptwerk and the right hardware (console, computer (with 64 GB of RAM!!!), speakers) you can actually play some of these organs in your own home! I have the amazing 'French' organ in Rieti (italy) built by B. Formentelli in accordance with the principles of Dom Bedos - it is simply stunning! I also have some other French organs - Menesterole, for instance - and their glorious reeds make the whole house shake! Get the technology and play these divine instruments to your heart's content!!!
@deei2 It is Located in St. Maximin-la-ste-Beaume (East of Aix-En-Provence) in the marvelous Basilica. With the Organ Built in 1775 by Jean-Esprit-Isnard.
I agree with Peter. English organs are great but the Europeans, mainly the French and Germans made some great reed stops. I have no idea how they keep them all in tune. I'd love to have a play on this instrument. What a sound!
Although I hear from the further comments that this organ is *French.* The piece would sound as lovely on the organs of Spain. Bourbon-Habsburg link, perhaps?
Historic Organ (1774) made by the Brothers Isnard (Jean-Esprit and Joseph) Basilic of Saint-Maximin La Sainte Baume (South of France) Titular organist : Pierre Bardon since 1961 Friendly

Very heralding, and grand I remember when I first heard this piece on Pipedreams, Grand divine and glorius.
This organ is simply brilliant just listen to those reeds M. Bardon know his instrument and the resonance at the end phew pick me off the floor.,
Wunderschöne Musik!
One of my favourites of Piroye!
Goosebumps!!!
Fantastic reeds! Just needs a nice 32' like the Cavaille-Coll at St Ouen x
musica eccezionale ed organo eccezionale. Piroye e' a torto considerato un musicista minore.
Ottima esecuzione!! Straordinarie e stupende le ance!!!
Fantastique merveilleux

Can I please live their!
Can I be minister of French Baroque Music. I would make sure ONLY this genre is being played on your island.
french baroque organ music with "plein jeux"is very pleasing harmonically to the ear,in someway it's kind of "yoga" for the ears

I'd love to have a play on this instrument. What a sound!
French reeds are very powerful, the Germans ones are less "exuberant", the Italians (my favourite) are a bit "rustic".
All rise - here comes the royal bride.
Eccellente esecuzione all'organo
All Hail to Spain, Master of Organbuilders!
