That is a super sweet rifle. I would just leave it the way it is. Keep it as your post EMP rifle. I just pick up a A2 colt upper and planning to put a colt A2 rifle together. But the lower receiver are way over priced.
How long ago were you in the army? The main rifle I saw while I was in was the M4A1, although I did go through basic with an A2 and loved that rifle lol

Dang that's badass. The Preban bushmasters are super cool I wish I could get my hands on one but they are rarer than Colts.
I honestly think mine might be a post-ban gun. I think the upper might be an FN or Colt military surplus, especially since the colors don't match.

2011-2017, the only time I ever really messed with A2s/A4s was for funeral details.
