I have owned and fired more than a few AR's. The Bushmaster XM15-e2s does anything and everything a $1500.00+ gun will do so long as you do your part. I absolutely love this rifle and I will never sell it. Although this rifle would work for just about anybody, it is ESPECIALLY ideal as an entry level AR15 for the newbies out there. If you have the opportunity to pick up an XM15-e2s, do it...
Congrats, you have a reliable rifle. I bought one myself and it becomes an addiction to some to more away, like myself. I have $2.5k invested into it besides the rifle. But out of the box it is a great solid rifle. Bushmaster has gotten better IMO.
That Bushmaster is as good as a Colt, at a lot less cost. I have owned both brands. It appears that yours is one of the original Bushmasters made in Windham, ME.
I paid $1000 for mine about 2 years ago, but it came with all the Magpul furniture. Love my Bushmaster. Haven't had any malfunctions so far after 1000+ rounds, just a great rifle all around.
In the Marine Corps we call it a bayonet because it is a FREAKING BATONET. You stick the enemy with the pointy stick if your all out of pops. If not load the brasses into the tube and squeeze the go button.
Hello! I hope you see this message, as I realize it’s several years old! I ran across an old Bushmaster in my local pawn shop. The 2 things that caught my eye were the Windham, Maine location, AND the A1-style carry handle/rear sight. I have only ever seen A2 carry handle sights on these, and assumed he previous owner of my gun put on his own A1 upper. Can you confirm that your Bushy came from the factory with the A1 handle/sight? What confuses things more is that there are NO markings on my upper receiver. I have since used this receiver to build an M16a1 clone (see my most recent video). Strangely, the front sight post is square, with 4 notches, which is usually found in an A2. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Thanks, Chris, Tx
Well let's see, I wasn't wondering why it jammed, I was stating it jammed at about 250 rounds. So maybe you should listen to what the video said instead of being the dumbass. Thanks for the views
The difference between a good Bushmaster xm15 e2s and a really good one ? Depends on where it was produced. If you have a Windham ME Bushmaster .. don't get rid of it !!!!
I just scored a Windham, ME Bushmaster XM-15 that was on consignment at my local gun shop for $475. Whoever owned it never put more than 2 mags through it. Naturally, I wasted no time whipping out the plastic.
@numutom73543 about 10 years ago. 11-B D Co. 25-8 when I went to basic. It was the same way Just gotten lax on a few things but still say Magazine instead of clip and weapon instead of gun. I do remember getting smoked. I don't think that ever leaves anybody.
@ilshockll I bought that one in Athens, GA. @ Franklin Arms. It's the base line model. I will be doing another video on it with the scope and scope mount that I recently purchased. Thanks for the ?
Just wondering is you have mounted a sight yet and how that is working out. I recently purchased the Xm15-e2s as well. however I am a bit confused on the layout I recieved as it looks like the M4 you have but it has the M3 removable handle. Also, can you tell me which type of bolt you recieved? ie.. standard, modified etc.. M19K10B Armor Crewman, Army retired. FIDO
Cool I Have a Bushmaster Xm-15 E2S i Think A2 it had everything yours has except that it has longer foregrips, no bayonet lug and no flash hider (PostBan Maybe?) the Barrel is Longer and The Twist is an unusual twist rate which ill post later when i get it out. Any Info on that gun?
walmart where im at in oklahoma sales them for 800. i dont know exactly when you were in the military. when i was in basic we'd get smoked for saying "bayonet". DS White C co. 3-13 - "if you call a Kbar a bayonet in this day and age. thats a f*cking no go privates."
Its not that the recoil.... its the fact your shooting a .22 bullet..with far more propellant.The shell carries more powder than the .22 long bullet...Theres little recoil because of the sping in the stock.....otherwise if it wasnt for that spring it would have lots of recoil...
What are the 15 ex? I have been out of the loop! I love my Bushmaster a2 hbar 20 in barrel I can't find new!? Where van I find it? Or is this the same?
Does bushmaster make a cheap quality xm-15? I'm tryin to buy one but I was seeing on another RUclips video that people were saying there was a cheap model?
rear sight of A2 is suck..not like A1..sight after sigh-in ..not moving around...check A1 rear sight to see what I mean! M16A1 is lighter too! - M16 JAM (master of Jam) ask your soldiers in Vietnam get kill in Vietnam when the 60 this gun come out. Vietnamese south, refer to have Carbine M1 for their life MUCH BETTER THAN NEW M16A1
There were a few issues initally that were corrected; moslty regarding lack of chrome lining in the chamber and less than optimum gun power choice for the milspec ammo.
+Mr H&K 91 Wow what a brilliant piece of profound information. You are truly a gun salesman with an obviously huge amount of knowledge due to your over abundance of brain cells.
I own the exact A2 model as shown and I would NEVER bugger up my rifle with any optic or accessory because it's so perfect all by itself.

Str8Up Firearms I purchased my first Bushmaster xm15e2s and you never lied, I love it and im hooked.

I have exact same one, never has jammed on 223 soft point 55 grn. or XM855 62 grn. green tip ammo.My Colt and Bushmasters have been 100% reliable.

I absolutely hate the GI mags, I run nothing but Magpul PMAGS now-a-days. I fell in love with those things a while back.
Agree brother! Love mine.

I have the same one. Great review. Very detailed.
@Chris L
Hmm, I don't believe so. I have the Bushmaster snake engraved on my mag well. I'd assume BM made it them selves.
How would I know?
@Chris L
I'll check and let you know.

As stamped on the lower receiver.

I like the simplicity. Good trunk gun. Just grab and shoot.

I would guess it is a Windham
rifle since this video was uploaded in 2011. The Huntsville, AL Bushmaster rifles seem nice.

not true Huntsville Alabama produced bushmaster are just as good

This rifle shoots .223 or 5.56 x 45 NATO rounds.

I stay away from anymore polymer, GI mags have never failed me.

I love reading all the comments from the experts here!!
🤣
Especially you 🤣🤣🤣
@@michaellorusso4912 What's the problem? I have the exact same gun except mine has the full-size stock on it.
@Buck762 Yeah it is a 16" barrel
also i like your review.

No. Bushmaster makes excellent quality arms and does L.E. and military sales around the world.
when you mount a scope... is it just as accurate as the iron sights?
A scope won't change the accuracy of the weapon, only the shootablility depending on conditions.
will it fire 223 and 556?
yes
Got mine 2 days ago
where do you buy these new for 800?
Mine was 740,00

Why not 20" barrel standard at least
'16 barrel won't reach the enemies who hide in the mountain or jungle like vietnam and Afghanistan!!!
Trade off. Can't beat the compact M4 platform for all-purpose use.
Colt got the right to call them AR 15 not bushmaster. It's shit
