Credit for what? It never ceases to amaze me how some people are so desperate to find something praise-worthy to say with regard to his meagre contributions. Brian Jones was, without a doubt, the lousiest guitar player in the history of British Rock.
Thank you for this fabulous programme!!!!! I learned so much about music from listening to Alexis Korner's Radio 1 Sunday night show - he's one of my great music teachers. I've never forgotten that wonderful speaking voice and how he really respected other musicians. A truly wonderful man, still so loved and badly missed.
What beers were available there and how much were they in American money? bottles only or could you get cold drafts? How much to get in 1960's? (American)
Paul Jones passing on Brian Jones' invitation, at minute 50:11, to be his singer. The Rolling Stones would've been a better and more solid rock band, and not the wannabe Beatles copy they turned into, after Brian's death and Mick and Keef took over the leadership of the band. Two greatly overrated performers; one as a singer and the other as a guitar player. That's probably why those two clowns don't get interviewed for this program; or maybe they were asked and they declined, because it's beneath them..
The best documentary I've ever seen on the birth of British R&B, great interviews with the musicians that were part of the scene at the time.
Thanks for giving Brian Jones his due credit. He should never be forgotten!❤

Most enjoyable watch and thanks for posting
That was awesome , thank you.
A fabulous documentary of such a magical time in modern music. Very well done!
ditto
Très intéressant. Excellent documentaire ! Incroyable la cécité des Usa sur leurs propres artistes de génie...
So great to see Don Craine in this. Oh leader, we dig thee.
Eric Burdon commuted from Newcastle and Brian Jones from Cheltenham . That was what you did . Life was an adventure .
That was a cool doc. You always hear and read about the Ealing Club, but not this in depth, how cool
This a fantastic documentary..really suprised there aren't more views!
Great documentary!

43:22 ANIMALES CONCIERTO de NEW MUSICAL EXPRESS
I'm slightly confused here: are Suburban Steps to Rockland (2017) and British Rock Born in a Basement (2021) one and the same film?
No mention of the Yardbirds so I wonder if they played there. Great interviews but it would have been nice to have a Stone or two!
Marquee Club was Yardbirds maybe? oh , wait. I think they replaced the Stones at the Crawdaddy club
Jammie ......
Ad every 5 minutes!
Get AdBlock I never seen a add once on RUclips 😁
Way too much accolades given to Pete Townsend. Far less notable/talented than Eric Clapton.
It’s not all about talent it’s more about popularity.and marketing.
Ginger Baker!
