even as a rangers supporter i must admit henrik larsson was world-class...The quality both teams had at that time was phenomenal (unfortunately) since then our standards have dropped
A team made up of the best Rangers and Celtic players from that era would be something else...Gazza, Larsson, Laudrup, Sutton, Mols, Moravcik, Albertz, Fergie..
Yea they teams were great celtic won 6-2 in one of the games then the next game rangers smashed us 5-1
So wish we were both back to this standard. Think with thise players we would both do well in champs league now players like that are rare now adays

1, Mols had the potential as his start atleast was tremendous but similar to Durrant the injury clearly destroyed a promising career
2 , yes iv seen them and both are legends in our game , but stats dont lie and Larsons at septic put him in the chat then add his astounding international career then add his stints at Barca and Utd that rubber stamp his elite quality level even at a later age

I’m not old enough to have seen Jinky play,my dad did,he seen all the Lisbon lions,lucky man.I was at a really good age when henrik joined and I went to see him play sooo many games in the 7 amazing years he was with us and that to me is what I’ll say to my son who is only seven months old and tell him stories about the team we had under Martin O’Neill and I can only imagine the stories he will tell his kids in the time to come.And I think that’s the whole thing about a club Like Celtic,….you are born into it and it goes back generations,it’s magic when you stop and think about it.🍀

Genuinely the only Celtic player I'd liked to have seen play for Rangers
The only time I saw Henrik dish out revenge on an opponent was Gus McPherson at Celtic Park. It was shocking to see, he had a naughty stamp on him in the middle of the park. Was so out of character McPherson must have pushed the right button. Henrik’s usual revenge was putting the ball in the back of the net. Dundee United away. I think it was Billy Dodds who had a kick at him. 20 minutes later he completed the perfect hattrick. He was awesome.
As a Celtic fan who adored Henrik , he was very focused but like Barry says he never really got flustered , I think he got booked twice maybe . Something tells me he was sent off one match but I might be imagining that

There are levels in all sports and henrik larsson was WORLD level in his peak and could have played for anyone even brazil and thats impressive for a swede but thats just how good he was.
But as a proud celtic fan i want to mention how good the scot barry ferguson was...great player.
I called him barry square baw cause i was bisae and hated him and the rangers but reality was he was a great player.
But people there are levels and for me henrik larsson was WORLD CLASS.

The best compliments they give him was how well he took their over the top tackles lol, typical. His temperament was probably also a cultural thing. I preferred Chris Sutton analysis of him not long ago about the chip he scored against rangers which was true, he basically said to have the audacity in such a game to even attempt that chip showed how good Larsson was.

Rangers fan here - Henrik Larsson was the one player that put the fear into me. A genuinely world class striker. Probably just behind Gascoigne & Laudrup in terms of the best to play in Scotland.

As a celtic man 50 odd years, always respected (sometimes hated) barry,( when he was playing)honest, and one of the best Scottish fitbaw pundits, you have to give due to players of quality... and also players who make up for talent with incredible work rate... I've many hun players I respect, and Aberdeen and hibs hearts Dundee Dundee utd etc... mcleish, sturrock, Miller, cannigia, best, latapy, naismith, Robertson, narey, Malpas, Duffy, ... wish Scottish fitbaw was in same place as 2000-20006. Hi Barry........ Love your honesty all round. There was one time I saw Henrik get ticked off. Bhoy did he....... Against Dundee U. At Dundee. After several thumping tackles....... He just got up but you could see he was right ticked off. He then went on a tare........ Tore them apart. Can't remember if he scored or just set the goals up. My m8 said after the game...... I guess the book on him is font get him angry. Bhoy did he tare them up that day. 😁
