The lathe tool chattering in the background adds character ! Would be interesting to know how long the machine ran after this repair before it failed again. There was a bevel gear there that should have been changed out at least!

HOW; In the name of all that is holy, do they remember how and where everything goes back together is beyond me. There cannot be a regular contract to rebuilding such a complex transmission, certainly not enough to allow obvious confidence to dismantle and re-assemble this monumental lump of steel.. Remember, taking into account the constant changes and design tweaks of such a monster, I tip my bowler hat to these lads for this amazing achievement.. Anyone can dismantle machinery, but only the confident can reassemble it..

I guess they don't remember. This video is about how people unscrew everything that can be unscrewed and then roughly assemble everything back. It looks complicated and confusing, but nothing in the video says that this transmission should work later. This is a youtube channel, it should generate views and likes and that is exactly what it does.

if you look at the appearance of the insides, clutches - it was recently repaired, and it looks like in the same way. overhaul coming soon
Been doing this all my life, let me guess American? Race punch a solid steel punch to install races and inner bearings.

It's a miracle anything runs more than a few weeks after these Heebs are done. Nothing is torqued, nothing is spec'd out. The lathe chatters away. It's all junk.

А у нас гарантия! Кучу денег тратят на сервисантов ,а тут все сами делают!
Большинство давно уже забили болт на эту гарантию. Чтоб кат развалился нужно либо 25000+ м/ч, либо без масла в КПП поработать часок - другой. Но и первый и второй вариант никак не подходит под гарантийный ремонт.
