Some people complain about torque wrench but they don't see that results were excellent
How did they think things were put together before torque wrenches were invented? They weren’t in widespread use until the 1930’s and engines and other items worked before this.
Неделю смотрю как такие люди работают, делают разное. В таких трудных условиях, но что важно всё получается! Молодцы, радует глаз. Они мне напомнили мелких медвежат из звёздных войн которые собирали всякое и делали разное)

Это свиньи обыкновенные, никакой культуры. Сборка с грязью идёт, моют для вида, один стакан жижи на весь двигатель.
Всё как мы любим коленвал,грязь и песок
Ремонт данного мотора на протяжении нескольких дней, спасал несколько семей от голодной смерти. Респект ему за это.

Man if they did this in the US the labor dept. would be all over them. No safety shoes or nada. Hats off to what they do it is amazing and true craftsman.
Great workmanship is admired only when safety tips are fully practiced and environmental protocols are addressed thoroughly. First consideration of any job is the safety of the people involved and their dependants second come for advance proper tools to finish the job effectively

like the gang as skeptic one cylinder looked like still smoked seen a ring alignment eventually go in place or leaky valve seal go in place, but, could not have done by myself as fast or as magnificent as these gentlemen have done

Wow, glad to see use of torque wrench and tightening sequence, use of gasket sealents, matching timing marks. Lovely. Keep it up. Was there not a gasket on the injector nozzle landing face.

They have done exceedingly well all things considered as the conditions they work in are absolutely abysmal. It was not a full overhaul
but it would get the unit back into work with a bit more grunt than when the engine was bought in for repairs.

Ребят ну что вы всё на полу и на коленке .... Забетонировали площадку поставили навес от дождя и солнца поставили кран баалку Всё на пупе тоскаете ... это же не дорого Или шеф совсем жлоб?
Там за оградой тысячи соплеменников готовых на смену выбывшему, там человеческий ресурс это расходник.

I think you missed out one thing.
That T piece which is sitting on intake and exhaust valves should be zero-zero. I mean zero setting could have been done using blue paste. Also there is an adjusting nut on the T piece for making zero adjustment.
To bad who ever is running this show doesn’t have proper tools and shops and safety gear to help these guys do there job that they put a lot of dedication into

I am mechanic myself. I don’t think this engine will put out the power it supposed to produce. But the team work and hard work is amazing.
Fascinating how these guys can do this with the most basic tools etc. Does anyone know what a job like this costs there? And in America? Amazing accomplishment!

@@MultiSandtrooper That's not true at all. Heavy duty diesel engines typically get rebuilt once every 1million miles (1.5million km). It is a lot cheaper than replacing the engines. Nowadays, old engines are much sought after because they can be ran without DPF, SCR and newer emission control systems. So owners of older engines want to keep them in good condition.

There's a difference between "totally rebuilding" an engine and doing enough to make it run, if by "totally rebuilt" they mean stripping it down, cleaning, lubricating, changing the oil, leads, plugs and then rebuilding it, then that's pretty much what they've done, but that ain't a "totally rebuilt" engine in the real sense of what is required.
Love the breaker bar wrench. Shame they didn't give it a spray paint job. Bet the dirt there would burn for hours if someone tossed a cig. Lol

interestingly, is there any situations when the guys from video wolud say something like that: "sorry, man, we can't do anything with that...."
These engines have been designed precisely for such specialists. Simple as shit, they even forgive dirt and dust.
Would I trust a rebuild outside in the open...no, but if I personally did it for myself or a friend then I wouldn't mind it being done like this at all, damn good.
