Fortunate is the person who may have had the opportunity to see them in concert. In my naive youth, I despised them for ridiculous and immature reasons. Later in life, I realized what a poor fool I was. They are one band that can bring out the authentic and tender side of a man.

The Bee Gees have always been my favorite band and this album is the closest I've ever gotten to hear them live in concert. (I was only seven when they did this tour and didn't quite know who they were yet. I later picked up the CD in the early 00's when I was just about to enter high school.) Truly shows how much they were master vocalists and performers.

Ken, than you for honoring the Bee Gees and bringing awareness to the young people about how talented and brilliant they were as song writers, musicians, recording artists and live performers. The Bee Gees were amongst some of the greatest entertainers that ever lived and they unfortunately paid a high price for all the amazing music and happiness they gifted upon the world. The Bee Gees demonstrated to all of us how to master the craft of music. God bless you Ken for all the great and inspirational videos .

Eric Swartz...actually they didn't go disco. They were recording a new album when producer Robert Stgwood called the Bee Gee asking for some songs he could put in a low budget film he was making. The Bee Gees gave him some songs from that new album which went in a movie they knew nothing about. So the movie is what got them labeled as a disco band. Its a label they didn't want. The only songs they did that was called disco was the songs they gave to Stigwood before they even heard of disco. ✌

Awesome band. What gets me with Barry is the interview they did with him talking about all of his brothers and their fame. At one point in the video, the reporter asked him how he felt being the last BeeGee alive. The look on Barry's face said it all. I think he realized that the guy was right and he was the last made him tear up. I grew up with them in the '70s and think they have written some awesome songs. They truly will be missed. Wow, this really put tears in my eyes. Ken, you hit this one right. It sucks getting to the age where all the great bands are going way year after year.

I’m hard rock heavy metal guy, but I actually like The Bee Gees and their little brother Andy Gibb who was a solo artist. You can’t not like these guys if you love great singing and harmony. They were just kids when they began in the 60’s. They were originally from England, but moved to Australia as kids. Their family were struggling to make ends meet in Manchester. Their parents sought a better life in Australia. It worked out great for the brothers. It was a sad story for their little brother’s death during the 80’s. Young artist have a hard time struggling with success, at times. He started living the life style a lot of musicians end up in and it can a lot of times come with a price. It happened with Kurt Cobain. Robin Gibb died from colorectal cancer on May 20, 2012 at the age 62. Maurice Gibb died from a twisted colon January 12, 2003 at the age of 53. Barry Gibb is the only brother still alive and the oldest of them all. He’s 76 years old and does have problems with arthritis throughout his body. I guess being 76 can come with problems for people his age.

Wonderful Ken. They were special songwriters and true singers. It was never about trying anything. They always served the song. 3 voices as one. I always tell people how important it is to learn to play or sing the songs of the greats, to help them understand what it takes. Musical genres mean nothing. A great song is just that. Too funny I’m a giant 80s metal guy but just have total respect for the talent of these guys. Ironically you would think with my love of metal my 1st concert I went to as a kid would be to see a metal band of some sorts but actually it wasn’t, my first concert I went to see was The Bee Gees at MSG with my parents because they were fans. I guess my respect for them stood with me ever since. Great stuff!!!

Their harmonies were insane. Barry once said bring inducted into the song writers hall of fame, meant more to him then anything

That was great! The Bee Gees are one of my all time favorites. I love Barry Gibb's soft/breathy and vulnerable vocals, they go with his style of songwriting so well. And then how on those long notes he hits the notes first then slowly brings in that smooth vibrato. 👌👌👌

Lyrics matched by the intricate chord progression, Gibb brothers vocal delivery = Perfection. Timeless song! Absolutely bloody timeless.

Listening to the Bee Gees thru my Jr and Sr high school days, loved their music!! And, playing guitar in a Judas Priest tribute band in the early 80's the guys in the band would RAZZ and HECKLE the shit out of me. Long live the BROTHERS GIBB!!!!🎸🎶🎵🎼🎤

Songwriters first, singers second. Masters of their craft for decades. Never a missed note. Love always💌

Oh THANK YOU!! I love the BeeGees, they were and still are such a great band. Barry is touring with his son now. It's so sad the others are gone already. I just know with so many of the greats already gone, Heaven is having some amazing jam sessions 😊, I had quite a few of their albums, can remember they were always a must at my disco parties lol. Can I just say I'm not a singer anymore. I was all thru high school but of course things change, I love watching your channel because of your stories, the fact you're from my gen and you speak the truth! Like with this song, you are so right, it takes talent to write a song that speaks so much emotion and is so sexy but not once gets all nasty. I feel we are so lucky that we grew up in the era we did, so much greatness that has stood the test of time! Take care and God Bless!

To sing in falsetto should rightfully be called to BeeGeesalize something! Untouchable and stylish.
    Epic!

These guys were astounding - and their studio production was so good I like to keep the original version of "How Deep is Your Love" on hand as a reference track when I'm mixing and mastering. I use it as a guide even for dissimilar material because the lows and highs and - well all - are just perfect.
