Too funny. I listened to PJ more than my wife (not a lot, just more) when we met and when she ended up listening, when I'd randomly put them on, she had the exact same reaction to his singing 😂
I listened back in the early 90s when Seattle hit, but didn’t get into PJ until an old boyfriend reintroduced me around 2000ish. They had a couple albums that I thought were groundbreaking I should re investigate

I'm not a huge lyrics person per se, but this song is an exception..the lyrics definitely enhance the emotional vocal performance and are generally well done..they certainly still speak to my teenaged brain..
