  • Today, we're going to talk about the methods available for adjusting a watch bracelet to fit you perfectly. Not the physical process of adding or removing links, but how to use a combination of links, half links, quick adjusts, toolless adjusts, and other tweaks to make a bracelet work as best as it can on your wrist.

    Haven't worn a watch for 20 years. Decided recently to dip into the hobby with a Timex Weekender. Did I just enter into a new rabbit hole? Time will tell.👈🧀

    We can hope the more innovative brands like Formex and Monta keep doing well in the market and thus put pressure on the lazier brands to keep improving things.

      I'm going to war against folks who don't include half links in a future video.

    Thanks for the clear explanation.
    I don't understand why the integrated butterfly bracelets are so popular now. No halflinks, no micro adjusts, no nothing.
    Bought a cheap Chinese _homage_ to try it out and of course it never had a good fit.

      I agree, butterfly bracelets in general are a nice idea, but not yet done right.

    Hey man, I just found your channel today, and I absolutely love it. I love the way you talk, your mannerisms, and how you express yourself. You are one of the few youtubers who genuinely make me laugh. Your reviews are great because you are straight to the point and very informative. It's awesome that you are very truthful and honest about how you feel about the knives you review, I really respect that and it's helpful to the buyer who might be blinded to some shortcomings of a knife. It'd be great if you tried to rate each blade out of 10 at the end of each video as sort of a cherry on top. I also dig the accent lol, keep up the videos my man :^ )

    I love ratcheting quick adjust clasps. I wish way more watches had them and I take that feature over signed crowns and stupid clear casebacks any day of the week. I've upgraded a couple of watches to catching claps from places like islander and not looked back.

    I feel like I have a couple of watches that just don't fit perfect. Regardless of removing the right amount of half links. They just seem to be right in that spot where slightly too tight or too loose. Or even with the closest fit, it just happens that the clasp pin link adjust (tooled quick adjust) is maxed out to one side or the other. Sinn 104 being one of them.
    The Seamaster doesn't have that problem with its micro adjust, and TBH just that value alone is why I reach for it so often.

    • @NickShabazz
      @NickShabazz  2 года назад +4

      Agreed! Sometimes you just need more adjustment.

    I try to keep less links on the 6 o'clock side to minimize scratches on the clasp. It works.

    • @NickShabazz
      @NickShabazz  2 года назад +1

      Depends heavily on how round or oval your wrist is, and the clasp shape, but yes!

      i see i think most of the watches keep more links on the 12 oclock side than the 6 oclock side do you notice any difference of comfort?

    I just got one of those Huckberry-Timex Navi XL Arctic automatics and the bracelet has only full links and no micro adjustment in the clasp, and of course I’m in between on the sizing. Any advice on how to add something to the bracelet that will allow for finer adjustability?

    I also always have less links on the 6 o’clock side since most wrists are asymmetrical and not a perfect cylinder

    Bought and sold the bb36 (Which was supposed to be a grail piece i worked hard to buy) within a span of 4 months...garbage bracelet fitting, flat caseback that does not conform to the wrist.... The worst part is under the hot and humid climate i live in... The flat as a board caseback just sinks into the skin. Idk man... Had a few seikos, Hamilton, Orient and tissots..... cheaper watches but never had an experience this horrible with a watch ever.
