Thank you man. I’ve been beating myself up so hard thinking I was the issue. I still really might be but for $120, i expect for it to work. When I would say “what” out loud, the app would read it as Em. I almost broke my phone. I started yesterday and its on my bucket list to learn but it appears simply guitar isnt the way.

If your just starting out I suggest that you start with open chords G,C and D you can play hundreds of songs with those chords. After you learn those 3 chords. Learn E,em,A,am

I just want to say simply guitar ... it works best with acoustic, but having reverb affects the microphone and it gets picked up (Tested the free trial with it and found out how it is)
But its on a very slight delay, so you play it a bit earlier on a 8th note faster then the measures. (yes the notes are in measures)
It actually Helps getting Acoustic Guitar For beginners physical book that comes with DVDs to be self taught.
Also Simply guitar actually does help too soo dw if you dont get it right away it allows you to go over it over and over
(I sort of have it ... its like 100$ a year .. but it works great for beginners learning on chords and whatnot ... and yes i choose to pay for it but i find it decent enough to self teach myself)
2 weeks of on and off playing, and i can play 4 chords, i can play 4/6 strings and i know melodies soooo yeah :P
I play simply piano and have no issues.. might try simply guitar as it is included in the annual fee

It can still hear the low pitch that may not be perceptible. It's actually really good when you get it set up properly
I got this app in hopes to learn, only doing the week trial and it’s caused nothing but frustration. It doesn’t pick up the sound properly, im on acoustic and it tells me I’ve played when I haven’t and it’s tells me I haven’t done it properly when I haven’t done anything different. It’s awful, you can’t learn with this thing especially when it doesn’t even tell you what you’re doing wrong

im not sure about this but simply guitar recommended headphones which means the app might hear its own audio and mistake that for the instrument. has anyone checked this?
im left handed and i still play with my left hand on the frets haha I couldn't get myself to learn it the left handed way

The phone can sometimes pick the
Volume up of itself, so turning it down, or using headphones makes it perfect
I hate how it says to stop watching guitar videos on RUclips. Which will cause lots of people to stop supporting small creators and use their scam app
Personally it’s been two weeks and I’ve improved a lot but you need to try with an acoustic guitar, i tried with the electric guitar and I doesn’t work, but it does with an acoustic try it 😉

Bro this app says I played all the notes after just slightly moving my hand on my guitar. It never says the chords are right when I play them right, but if I scream it says it’s right, or play just one note.
It works well for me?? It’s not 100% accurate if i mute a string by accident it won’t pick up on it but most of the time it’s pretty accurate
You have to use the app with headphones. Yes it does make mistakes occasionally on a note or 2 but it does have decent exercises for beginner to level I intermediate guitar player. It has helped me tremendously with coordination.

You’re better off playing Rocksmith as a beginner, this game doesn’t even tell you how to play the chord. When I first played Rocksmith, I didn’t know what an Em7 was but it tells you how to play it.

Soooo like learning guitar online is just not an option🥲 I thought abt simply guitar because guitar lessons are expensive
It must be the microphone picking up the music from the actual song. Just like if you play an online game with your phone and have voice chat enabled, it struggles with the feedback from the speakers.
I'd say I would be worth trying the program using headphones.

I started recently and noticed that using headphones, and putting my Amp right next to my phone does the trick. Been some time so maybe they updated the app and fixed these bugs since this video came out
I'd say definitely not worth $120 either way, but I pirate the app😂

The app is dreadful. Constantly does not recognise notes.

When I got simply guitar and tried to tune my electric guitar it sounded off. I don’t know why it sounds weird but I don’t know if anyone else has that problem 😭

All I gotta say is I use simply piano and tried to play simply guitar and simply pianos note recognition is way better
This app works best with headphones, it says it in the instructions.
Started last week with the guitar , but in comparisson with simply piano, you can not connect the guitar to the app....so no simply guitar for me.....but simply piano works ok.

I bought it, my app didn’t even register the notes i was playing more than half the time, the. I tried to refund it.

I see the first problem is your muting the strings so the microphone won’t pick it up properly. I just got the app not the paid portion though and I noticed this if you don’t do it like it’s intended
Bro, the structure of your video goes against your own opinion on the app.
At 2:52 the app says you were messing up, so you say "what am i doing wrong?"
So you hold the guitar as a right handed person and then the app said you played it correctly.
I had the impression that at 2:52 you were playing the notes just a little too late and that's why the app was saying that you messed up.
I'm not saying that sometimes this shitty app does not say that you played correctly when you obviously didn't or when you didn't even played the guitar at all tho.

bruh i legit got this app to learning but it’s like no you need premium
It broke my guitar it said to turn it up more and my string broke
It’s a good app sure but I can’t get further than the first lesson without premium

when i was learning ukulele my strumming hand was COMPLETELY damaged i even was playing for so long i cut my finger so deeply there was soooo much blood everywhere I thought i got a red drink in my ukulele until i saw my finger and when i was starting i was strumming with my thumb * never do it!* i had my whole thumb a blister and couldn't play until i started using my other fingers to play and realised its a much better strumming pattern ! the scar is still there after nearly a year

I tried the app out and it was way too basic to learn guitar. The songs do not follow the song at all. Just Neanderthal basic notes.

Learn with a proper teacher (not this dude) or just learn easy songs (then slightly progress).
Work on watching people such as Marty Music for basic open chords, and techniques such as bending, hammer ons, pull offs and slides.
