"The Power of 10" turned every yard line into a 10-yard line, and if you count up each of the number sequences in the corps’ “Mulholland Drive” ballad, you’ll come up with the number 10. Check out the Periodic Table of Elements to learn why the color guard was clad in neon colors. And any Romans in the audience had to be giddy every time there was an “X” prominently displayed in the drill formations. The entire production was goose bump inducing to the factor of … well, you know.

everyones talking about the ten in the closer drill but noones talking about the fact that all the field numbers are "10"
Look at the 50. its painted gold for the 50th superbowl. We didnt know that until midnight the ngiht before quarter finals. These videos get made with shots taken from all 3 nights so we had to have our admin go find gold paint at 1 am and fix those 10s. lmao.
Sad we'll never hear that quintessential Cadets sound ever again.

I've heard symphony no. 10 in e minor so many times in the texas marching band season it's gotten so old to me at this point... but the cadets make it sound so good
I so agree with this comment. It’s frustrating that directors keep buying into the standard Shostakovich state year show that his music is just formulaic now... Fire of eternal glory, symphonies 5 & 10, Festive Overture
I may be remembering wrong, but it’s probably way more prevalent for schools in state years where I mostly keep up with the Texas BOA scene and most of the big guns that I don’t actually hear it that often, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it does feel overplayed

I think they would’ve won it all had they not changed their uniforms. But my god, that hornline was on fire.

No doubt in my mind this would have won if they had kept the original uniforms. The blackout killed so much of their visual.
Sadly, I gotta agree. My son marched this and the corp was really excited about the uniform change because it was hyped by the staff. I didn't have the heart to tell him how much the black uniforms hurt the show. I'm not certain it would've guaranteed first place if they kept the originals, but they definitely would've placed higher.

Theres just no way kinetic noise beat this in any capacity. This show deserves b r o n z e
Bluecoats general effect, drill, show design, brass line and guard all better than this. I'll give them better drums and pit perhaps, but this show was boring, and uninspired. I honestly did not get an emotional connection to this show on the second run through.
@@danielcongleton2878 everything you said is an opinion but go off... just because YOU do not get an emotional connection to a show doesn't mean it deserves less.
@@l-3364 an opinion, yes. Backed up by the the judges, yes. The only memorable part of this show was ripped off the blast show, and they didn't even do it as well as them.

@@l-3364 ok fine, here's a different angle for you. The cadets haven't had a good show since 2014, and this show was the start of a slip in the program's prestige, and between the scandal and the type of shows, the cadets aren't holding up their side of the deal on being an elite corps. They are having the same problem as the scouts of being stuck in a previous generation, with the lack of direction to move forward.

This was for sure a year that they were robbed placement wise. Was a great show, Great design, Great hornline, Drumline. Guard was not good, but Kristy Templin was about as bad as you can get as a caption head and was only there because she was dating the director. The guard hurt the GE which is why they finished 4th, but I still think they were better than Blue Coats at semis and finals and it should have been a Bronze easily.
3 years later and can 100% confirm she is terrible and was only there because of Hopkins and her dad.

When did they switch to left-foot-first technique? I honestly liked how unique the right-foot-first technique was.
+MelloMan14 We still use right foot lead! When there are weird time signatures there will be some left foot step-offs or left foots on down beats. If you look at the first step off around 0:24 you will see that it is right foot.
