This free update for all versions of TONEX is loaded with time-saving new features, many based on user feedback, to help browse and find the right tones faster and stay in the creative zone longer. It also includes 15 new Premium Tone Models for paid versions of TONEX (SE, Full and MAX).

TONEX 1.5 adds a comprehensive sidebar section with intuitive filters and folders, for quickly searching and organizing Tone Models and presets. Between the “Tone Model” and “Preset” modes, the new sidebar streamlines the workflow by keeping all essential search functions accessible in one easy-to-navigate area.
Customizable User Folders
Organizing Tone Models and presets is easier in TONEX 1.5 with the addition of custom user folders. Users can organize and create as many folders as they like, and manage Tone Models or presets by simply dragging and dropping them into place. Custom folders for amp type, pedals, songs or sets are just some of the ways users can now quickly organize Tone Models to suit their needs and workflow.
Enhanced View Options
A new Card view offers a second way to display Tone Models and presets. Whether users want to see more Tone Models at once with the Card view or prefer to see more details via the List view, both options offer direct access to essential actions via new mouseover macros. TONEX 1.5 also lets users expand the relative size of the List or Card views within the application, and rescale the entire graphic interface to optimize the window’s use of space.
Refined Amp and Cab Section
The Amp and Cab section now offers drag-and-drop functionality for quickly trying out different Tone Models, which can be moved directly into the Amp or Cab cells to replace what’s there and try out new sounds. Optional “locks” keep either the amp or cab fixed so users may explore other tone possibilities, comparing how an amp sounds with different cabs or vice versa. TONEX 1.5 also adds bulk import for IRs and a new window to quickly integrate and manage all user and 3rd-party impulse responses within TONEX.
Deeper ToneNET Integration
TONEX 1.5 adds a dedicated section for Tone Partner and Signature Collections. These Premium collections can be easily accessed in the redesigned “Collection” section of TONEX with the ability to use the newly introduced filtering options of the sidebar. Users can sort collections by version, signature, or by a specific Tone Partner, with Quick filters to further refine the search. Play audio samples, try demos and make purchases, all within the “Collection” view.
New Filters for TONEX Pedal
Prepping for gigs is quicker now too thanks to the updated “Library” section that takes full advantage of the new filtering options to sort and organize Tone Models for transfer to TONEX Pedal. Users can apply any of the new filters or select from their user folders to move Tone Models directly to the pedal for their next show.
Bonus Premium Tone Models
To reward all, TONEX 1.5 also includes 15 new Premium Tone Models for paid versions of TONEX (SE, Full and MAX) featuring a wide selection of clean and high-gain tones, perfect for studio and stage. These Tone Models are based on sought-after amps from IK’s vault such as a Bogner Shiva, Hiwatt DR103, Orange OR120, ENGL Powerball and more.

Yeah. Great they improved the UI but another vote for editing Pedal in the Software.
yea bit of a bummer having to pull the amp off the pedal edit it, save it and reupload it. Youre better off just plugging youre guitar into your recording interface instead of the pedal, so you can real time listen to your changes then pop it into your pedal library once you're happy with it.@@martinmies80

The folder and being able to add multiple IRs are great addition
Shame one can only see 4 IRs at the same time in the new window. And the IR search feature is gone.
the pedal needs an high and low cut eq section
I’m glad the software is getting more user friendly. I really struggled trying to find amp models to download at first. So a much simpler UI is a welcome change.
Now we just need an updated pedal with a larger color touch screen, simpler UI, effects loops; stereo in and out, and more effects built in.
Still wish you could have an insert for modeled pedals. Just like selecting a cab.
Insert a pedal before or after
Quick feature request... would be great to have some sort of cabinet/IR available during the Amp only capture process when doing the final comparison. Being able to tell what's going on when comparing fizzy amp di captures is not fun. Love the Tonex!!

It would be awesome to have an amp skin with a Mesa like 5 bands eq. Also it would be useful to have the possibility to load a pedal model before an amp model. If you have a model of an muddy amp, you can't boost it with a ts style pedal model unless you use tonex inside of Amplitube.
Resizable interface elements and custom user folders were my 2 big wishlist items for the plugin. You guys delivered! HUGE UX improvement, thanks!
Great job! New features are awesome. Also a VST plugin is taking a much shorter time to load in DAW. Sorting by likes and downloads is cool. I ran into one minor issue when I selected a custom IR. When I tried to replace it with another IR the popup menu did not show up until I clicked on other UI element. Anyway, this is a huge progress. Thank you!
P.S. Resetting controls to default values by double-clicking is something I desired from very beginning. Thank you for delivering this feature too)

Still need a proper editor-be able to adjust the model on the computer that affects the hardware in real time. Let’s do it IK! But these were some great new features for sure.
great improvements guys! I liked them! For the future if possible, it would be great to add a generic Pedal scheme to the Capture of Pedals, this is a minor and could be possible. If it would be possible, that the pedals capture could use less DSP allowing that we could stack at least 2 pedals. Imagine, footswitch 1 is the OD 1, foot 2 is the OD 2 and foot 3 is the OD 3

We need a pedal editor software because using tonex software is pretty annoying
I appreciate the coming updates on ik plugins. That being said I would really prefer an automatic update process with your product launcher. I feel the launcher would be way less hassle if it would do the updates without having to go through the installation proces time and time again.
It's kind of odd there's no Blues Driver stomp model in Amplitube, even though X-Drive block includes Blues Driver algorithm. Can we please get an actual Blues Driver stomp model in Amplitube 5? Along with CE-2 chorus stomp, hopefully. Thanks!

I like this update very much, but I still hope that the parameters of Amps and Stmops can be adjusted separately, or even combined at will.
I like some stuff about new updates, but why did they get rid of the date column and info screen for the tone model?
Hi you can click the "i" icon for the info screen which will also tell you Date Added (which you can sort by as well, using the new sort button).

Curious if we get a new artist Amplitube collection in 2024. Gilmour, EVH, Vai come to mind. Who else you'd love to see? Petrucci already taken by some Finnish fellas, I'm afraid.
Apart from the already mentioned, George Lynch and Zakk, definitely. Too bad Warren DeMartini can't be bothered. Would love to have the gear and the preset discography covering RATT years. Same for Lynch/Dokken/Mob and Zakk's early years with Ozzy. Between these guys you hardly get better candidates for the collection. Maybe throw Nuno in, but that's mostly A/DA MP-1 and Lynch would have that covered already.

That would depend on your intended use, are you a gigging/band musician or a solo artist/player just playing at home?
Add option to Edit pedal from the app!!! Its suks at the moment
