Hes so natural and gifted .There is just no way I can glow and flow like this .....I dont remember what iv written down so it flows ...i jst stumble and stop start and ramble... certain people have the tenacity and natural flawless articulation.
When they asked me for questions, I always asked “tell me what you love most about working in this company, what is the thing it makes you so proud”. They melted… Every recruiter and hiring manager love to talk about their company and why is the best company in the word. Let them talk.
I couldn't agree more. I came across his page over 1 yr ago, while I was job searching after a long bought of unemployment due to Covid. Andy's knowledge gave me the tools to land my current job as well as a higher pay rate. Now I'm interviewing for something new. So I knew I had to come back to the best 🫶
Ive been enjoying your videos after losing my job last month. I got a new job different position, contracted position but better pay. I am a strong interviewer but all your tips made much stronger!! They told I'd hear back in the following week they offered it to me less than 5 business hours later
My sister is a dancer, doesn't have anything to do with interviewing, but she once told me that in a dance competition, they'll decide if you'll be the winner in the first 10 seconds, so if you don't impress them at that moment you are bound to lose. I like to have that mentality with interviews too.
I am watching this the 3rd time and internalized this Andy, why story needs to start with the context, not the steps. 😊 It’s important becuz, for any story to matter, the receiving end has to be intrigued enough to want to focus and listen, the context makes sure the audience gets on the same frequency and start to connect to, relive and appreciate your story❤
Thank you so much Andrew. I have never been accused of being lost for words, and I choose them carefully by nature. I'm learning so much about the granular strategy of your high level communication playbook. At 61 years old I am transitioning from Accounting to the IT field. Accounting interviews are 2nd nature to me. I've always been comfortable integrating computer technology/software into my premium home audio/theater systems. So i felt confident that I would be successful in obtaining the certifications. However, I did not consider the fact that going into a new field with those that have made it their lifelong endeavor, would be like a veteran football player being traded to a young team. It's an entirely different language being spoken. And I've got to learn this thick playbook late in the season. I'm so glad that I stumbled upon your sight. Your energy is infectious.
Thank you for these videos. I referenced these and others while unemployed the last 5 months as a later career candidate. Got a great offer for the perfect job for me, surviving multiple rounds, tests and formal assessments. I couldn’t be happier or more confident. Thank you!
Hello! I'm going through my pre-interview warm up with Andy! I watch a few of my favorite videos, review my notes and then enjoy the interview rather than being nervous.
Andrew , you are the best of the best interview trainer, after I watched lot’s different people teach how to interview, I realized this channel is the best
Always great ideas. For the past 10 years, Andrew’s channel is my go-to whenever I have interviews. Helped a lot. Can not appreciate more Andrew! Thank you!
Awesome advice! I took notes since I have a big interview with the Founder of a company that I would really like to work in 2 days! I am going to practice tomorrow and write it out. Thanks Andy!
I stopped by your site and it was a fenomenal, extraordinary , I feel that you are the mind of of any CEO .. May God Bless You for being so Generous sharing .
Andy, I’m job searching “again” and I can’t tell you enough how I consider you my good luck charm. I’m going back through videos to refresh on EVERYTHING. ONE thing I can make a promise to myself is that when I do land successfully on my feet again, I will make it a point to save my $$ to get some coaching with you, so I’ll always be at my best. With you in my corner, I can’t fail.
Hi Andy, Thank you so much for this video and all the other great content you create! The interview tips and insights were invaluable and helped me secure my new role after a long search. Your guidance on the hello and the expression really set me apart from others and made a real difference in my preparation. Keep up the fantastic work!
Thank you for your videos, a couple months back I posted during your live chat and asked about having little to no experience as a purchase agent as a warehouse supervisor. Well I got a job offer today to be a purchaser, thanks for your advice and keep the videos coming….great information
@@irenelo3660 if you’re looking for advice I would say, switching industries to keep it in about the same lane. Being a warehouse supervisor I had clerical experience, SAP and inventory experience. I was also motivated to get out of warehousing, working long shifts, missing children’s games and concerts and family events, no weekends. It took me 15 years but now I’m happy to be in a cubical working 7-4. I won’t ever take it for granted. Anyways I hope that answers your question in some way.
Hi Andrew, I found your channel last week to prepare for my interview for today. A lot of your advice really helped but honestly I feel I still messed up my interview because I have a tendency to stutter when I am nervous and with people I haven't met. I also jumble my words when I am presenting my answers. I feel that the interviewer panel was impressed with some of my answers but I feel like I still flopped because of my stuttering and I know you say 38 percent of what they pay attention to is tone. I am not expecting a miracle answer, but I was wondering if you have any advice for people like me who have a tendency to stutter and jumble words during an interview? Thank you so much for your videos.
@@ForeverYoung-fc3eo well for that particular interview, I was able to get to the second round but after that I haven't heard from them since. Probably better that way because if they can't be bothered to even tell me that they went with someone then it's not properly managed. Still on the hunt though!
