Thanks! I like using the Yankee screwdriver on the slotted screws. Helps me keep an appropriate amount of force applied and has more control than the drill so I don't strip them out.
a tip if you ever think you gonna need to remove srew some years down the line: put the plugs in using varnish as a glue. it will hold just fine but its easier to remove the plug without messing up the hole
how did the pvc steam box work out for you? I'm in the rpocess of replacing the woodwork on my 14' rowboat. I have some pvc down spout and I was thinking of using it to steam my rails. just discovered you using pvc. my stuff is larger diameter.
The PVC worked just fine but you need to make sure it's supported. It gets very flexible and floppy when it is heated by the steam (just like the wood).
I bought a kit through SailRite.com. it includes everything you need to make a Main and Jib with exception of the grommet dies which I bought separate.
Great video. I was after some hints on building rub rails and this was exactly what I was after.
Thanks! I hope your project goes well.
how am I just finding your channel? more binge watching for me I see. good stuff! I'm subscribing, thanks, Chuck
Thanks for the support! I hope to post a video of the first sail at the end of October.
The bright exterior finish looks great! I love how the seam tape really blended after all the penetrating epoxy and varnish!
Thanks!
This is coming along beautifully!
Thank you!
It's really coming together. I can't wait to see some footage of it in action next spring!
Thanks! I really appreciate it!
Welcome back, boat looks great!
Thanks!
man i love that daggerboard
Thank! It turned out great. Someday I want to get it polished to a mirror finish.
No mundo dos barcos a vela o seu Snipe é um violino stradivarius ....parabéns.....

Coming along great. I haven't used a 'yankee' in a long time. I have one here, but the ratchet is broken.

Good call. Will do that in the future.
