I was SO nervous 😬 unboxing it! Thank you so much for this clear video. You have a relaxing but confident voice. It’s my birthday present so am thrilled. 🇦🇺❤ -Brisbane 🙏
Thanks this was very helpful to me! I have a sidekick, and I wanted to see the difference between it and the big shot before I upgrade. This took the mystery out of the plates and shims and things😊
sizzix was my first machine many years ago. I now have a Sizzix Switch, 2 Spellbinder machines, a Stampin Up, and a Mini Empress by Anna Griffin. my original Sizzix is not as tight as it once was but I still use it- especially with the Precision Plate ( a must IMO). I may end up getting another Sizzix because I love it so much. tfs
Hi Lou, great to watch n it looks like the plate sandwich has changed, by looking at other viewings anyways. I alaays wondered how the plates would be used n should I buy the bigshot. I have gemini's n wondered if the bigshot would be better for thicker dies. Alot of crafters seem to use the bigshot so i did think about it. Thank you as always x
I bought Gemini II but it's such an expensive trashy machine. The plates warped to the point that they won't go in the feeder. Gemini II company won't take it back and Joann fabrics said to go through them= I'm stuck with this expensive trashy machine. This Sizzix big shot is so much fun to use and the plates don't warp or curve like the trash gemini II. If you're trying to decide which one to buy, buy this one. The handle is so easy to turn, you don't need an expensive button to turn on because it will be useless due to their plates warping except if you want to spend $45 a week to replace gemini II plates.
Hello Lou, thank you for this video. I've had my Sizzix Big Shot for about a couple of months and just starting to enjoy it when there was a bang and now it doesn't press in the middle. Does anyone have any idea of what happened? I took it apart and the spring/split washer doo-hickey is in the right spot. HELP! 😮
I’m going to buy it, so thank you for your tips😊

Does this machine fold up for easy storage or does it have to be kept open like in the video? Thanks!
Is this assembly similar to the Foldaway, which I just got the other day--it's still in the box! LOL!
The Foldaway is even easier! The handle is already attached and there’s a little button on it to release it into the position ready for die cutting!

Hi, best to contact SIzzix or the company you purchased from as it doesn't sound like this is right at all. Sizzix are very helpful x
@@LouCollins thanks, have done.
