Adam, thank you for sharing another great video. As I approach 57 years old, I’m challenged with many negatives in my life. I am so used to the Woo cracking me up with his commentary, that I was shocked, as he let his partner enjoy the tour without barely making a sound. He was nice enough to wait for the tour to end. You can tell his partner was in another dimension. I know the feeling.
I visited the other Star Trek set, in Ticonderoga, NY., which was equally impressive. After growing up with TOS, just after it went into syndication in 1970, it finally came full circle just over a year ago when I made the pilgrimage to upstate NY. Sitting in the captain's chair, seeing the bridge in all it's glory... It was everything I had hoped it would be. Now that I've actually been aboard the Enterprise, the episodes will never be quite the same.

Adam: Several years ago (1980's) we went to Las Vegas and toured the reproduction of the Enterprise at one of the major hotels. It was amazing and such a treat! I sat in the Captain's chair too. There was a part of it that was a 3D ride in shuttles, we had to fight the Klingons and escape. We landed (never left the room) and got off and walked down a long hall way into the back of the gift shop! LOL...
They had done such an outstanding job of so many areas of the ship, museum, the ride, and the realizism. We loved it!
We also went to Universal Studios and they had a set where you dressed in your favorite character and played a part on camera with another crew member (employee). I got a copy of the DVD; I played the Captain. We had to fight the enemy too. What fun!
This tour has brought back so many wonderful memories. Thank you for going there and seeing this amazing set and meeting the real stars of the show. I will look for it online and watch. I am a "treky" for sure!

    • @TheGryxter
      @TheGryxter 3 месяца назад

I too visited that Star Trek Experience in Vegas. It was awesome!! The ride was especially exciting. You never left the small room, but it felt like you went on an actual ride through space. There were red railings in the middle of the room and I thought, "that's odd, why would you have those there"? So during the ride I took a moment to look at the people instead of what was going on. It was amazing to see the people leaning into the turns, and holding onto the railing like if they let go they would fall over. And I believe some would have it felt that true to life. Thanks for that return trip my friend!!!!!!!!!🤪

Vic really is a true Trekkie not just an actor or a 'cover' actor. He knows and lives and breaths this stuff. Its to people like him we owe a lot of thanks that we still have a fan side that we as normal non Hollywood folk can interact with and visit places like this. Also to have new adventures to watch and not have to wait on the next $100 million dollar movie to come out. I appreciate them them all for their hard work and love of the stuff we love. Thanks Guys. And Chris is so much bigger than he seemed on the Continues episodes. Not fat big just a big guy. Im glad he seems to love reprising what his dad did before him.. My sister is 15 years older than me and grew up on TOS. I grew up on TOS as reruns in the 70s. and then from there the galaxy. Love you all for who you are as people and what you do. Thank you all.

Before traveling back from LA to NYC, by Greyhound. In LA my mum's pen friend worked for Gene. So we managed to get on the set of the first film. We got to see engineering, a corridor and sickbay. This is fabulous. Watching this just drives home how impressive the original set designers really were. If you want a good read of what went into the production (e.g., bees and birds and flushing toilets interrupting the production day), be sure to read Inside Star Trek: The Real Story by Herb Solow and Bob Justman. We grew up with TOS in syndication on WZTV 17 Fox out of Nashville. And though I own the series on both DVD and Blu-ray, there was something special about turning on the TV at 9 PM, knowing my "friends" of Star Trek would be there, taking me with them on another journey through our wonderful cosmos. Thank you for taking us on this tour, and thank you to all the hard work that the Neutral Zone Studios cast/crew put into the set pieces.

Adam, one of my favorite episodes you've produced. Brought back my childhood and having watched the Star Trek Continues You Tube series this was a full circle. Vic was excellent as Kirk. Professional and his passion shows in the details he has brought to reality. Thank you for the tour!

One of your finest videos Adam! Enjoyed it so much. This set was fantastic and it is so apparent that everyone on the crew of Star Trek Continues certainly put their heart and soul into this. I went and watched the first episode of Star Trek Continues on RUclips and I was amazed at how spot on accurate and entertaining it is… and is a faithful and wonderful continuation of the original series. Some of the best “new” Star Trek that I’ve seen in years. If you haven’t seen it… I highly recommend it! I will certainly be completing the entire series. 👍🏻🙂

Star Trek Continues was so good that Paramount made them stop because their new Trek paled in comparison.

About to turn 64... my parents were both school teachers and let us kids stay up to watch TOS because it was one of the more interesting and intelligent things on TV in the '60's. I'm pretty sure no one expected things to live on this long after only 3 seasons. I grew up in LA and Hollywood is nothing but a business. If it isn't making $, move on. Pretty clear this show transcended that from the beginning but no one understood that then. Anyway, thanks for the peek under the tent. God bless and live long & prosper!

This was AWESOME!! They did a study once on trek fans, did you know that the majority of trek fans are also Disney fans? At the time I thought that was a bit silly. After giving it some thought I realize that both Disney and Star Trek have one thing in common, "the promise of a better tomorrow". I was sad when this "fan" series was stopped. I am so glad you did this and we got to see it. Some day I hope I can see this in person, but for now I'm off to Disneyland in March!

Yes, some Disney vibes... But, Lucille Ball was instrumental in getting and keeping Star Trek on TV in 60s (yes, Lucy). And, both Universal Studios Theme Parks had a Star Trek bridge set (like this one). Using green screen, your family could be recorded as crew members to Kirk, Spock, etc. (c 1990) and you got the videocassette as memento!

That was awesome guys! Vic and his crew did such amazing work on Star Trek Continues. The Mrs. and I visited the Trek tour in Ticonderoga, and met James Cawley, aka Cpt. Kirk in the ST: Phase 2 episodes that were filmed there. Highly recommend it if you're up that way.

Oh my God! That video was so good. I was living vicariously through you for over an hour. That's my childhood. I saw the original episodes. I was born in 55... I'm going to be on the phone tomorrow morning finding out how to make a reservation to take the tour. I live about 6 hours away in South Florida. I can't wait to see that place. The detail was spectacular. Still a huge fan today like all of us, and thanks for letting me know that it was there. I know that James Cawley has a place upstate New York but I certainly didn't know that this one was so close. God bless you guys for doing this. The one thing that I noticed and was surprised at was that the powers that be had no problem with the fans sitting in the chairs and touching the controls. I think they know the kind of reverence that people have for the show and nobody would ever intentionally hurt anything there. I want to sit in that chair. Thanks again. Steve

Adam I have watched you for a few years and have loved just about everything you have done but this one brought me to tears. Some of my first memories were of watching Star Trek with my Dad. I watched reruns and all the DVD's in order. This was the series that showed me what our future could be. Where women were just as cable as men and people of all colors could co-exist. When I moved to Vegas one of the first things I did was go to the Star Trek experience.

Great video Adam, I've been a Star Trek fan since '68, "The Gamesters of Triskelion". I've also been a fan of Star Trek Continues since their first show almost ten years ago, "Pilgrim of Eternity". Vic Mignogna is a top-tier Trekkie. Thanks for a look at the sets, keep the videos coming, I always enjoy them.
