Haha, I just decided to slow down with the channel for a while 😀 Yeah, Xiaomi released a few new models this year and they all don't have global versions for some reason. Maybe we'll see the global version soon.
Hi, Really nice review. I'm looking for thin vacuum robots alternatives an this looks pretty nice. I would really appreciate your advice on vacuum robots whith height under 7 cm. Any other model you would recomend? Thank you in advance, and congratulations for the quality of your reviews!!
Your reviews and tests are the most comprehensive on RUclips. I bought the Roomba J7+ and the camera navigation was atrocious compared to my Roborock S4. I now have a Deebot T8 Tru Detect. It's obstacle detection is superb and better than the J7+ However, even though it has laser navigation it's nowhere near as smart as Roborock's. Sometimes it can't get over threshold onto the carpet - despite it being able to do it. Sometimes it stops and decides it can't do it and fails cleaning. Then other times it seems to back up and charge over it, so it does have the smarts. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the kind words 😊 I think this one in terms of navigation should be very similar to the Roomba j7. It does the job, but it is still far from Lidar-based robots. For some people, in small houses, it doesn't really matter, but in large houses or houses with a lot of obstacles, a camera-based robot may get lost easily, distort the map, or lose its way to the dock. I've heard a lot of complaints about the Deebot navigation from other people too, for some reason Ecovacs doesn't invest enough in software development. Roborock has the most polished software in terms of navigation intelligence. I never used the Deebot or the Roomba j7, but surprised that the T8 has better object avoidance. I've seen some reviews where the j7 avoided thin cables pretty well, better than other robots I've tested. Does the T8 avoid tiny USB cables as well?
@@SmartRobotReviews it's only ever caught one very thin black cable, other than that the avoidance tech is brilliant. I chose the T8 Tru Detect over the T8 AIVI because I've seen tests on RUclips (Vacuum Wars) and the AIVI can only recognise certain items, where as the Tru Detect can detect pretty much anything. When it comes up to an obstacle (pet bowl for instance) it backs up and then turns back to the object and scans it from a different angle so it knows how big the item is. It's quite interesting to watch.
Thanks for sharing, good to know that. I've seen only videos with the AIVI avoidance, glad that the avoidance technology evolving. I still pick up things from the floor for my Roborock S6 MaxV (this is my main device) as it does fail to avoid some things, and I don't think Roborock can improve much the avoidance in this model, probably there are hardware/camera limitations. Maybe the next model will be equipped with a better camera/3D sensor.
It's really a pity that the charger is so tall. I'm looking for a vacuum that can be installed under a kitchen cabinet with a 8cm clearance. The vacuum will fit for sure, but the charge station seems much taller. Does anyone have the height of the charge station?
I am from Europe, I have selected the region as Mainland China and I managed to connect to the Vacuum-Mop robot without any issues. The vacuum is working fine, but the mop is not working at all, I do not even see the mop settings in the app (bellow "Cleanup mode" you have the mop settings, but in my app I do not see anything related to mop) I have updated to the latest firmware and also the app is the latest version. Can you please help me? Do you have any idea what can I do? Thank you in advance.
Hi thank you for this very comprehensive review! Quick question pls, Is it able to do mapping for more than 1 foor? Can I bring it upstairs and create another mapping?
I have been waiting for a skinny bot for a long time. Kitchens in my country have a 7cm gap where the floor meets wall due to the the way they build the cabinets here. It really sucks since this is where all the dirt ends up and my roborock is just too fat to go clean there. This mija bot would be perfect if it was able to just go clean the kitchen or just go clean under the couch and cabinets as opposed to having to clean the entire house. Please message if they ever update the robot to do room specific scheduling! thx You're always upping your game with these videos ☺
Thanks for watching😊 I like to schedule some rooms too. I'll keep it in mind and let you know if it get an update. Unfortunately, Xiaomi doesn't update its robot's software as often as Roborock. By the way, the camera navigation is still far from Lidar in terms of navigation accuracy, especially compared to a Lidar Roborock model.
Agree. Even though I don't have a lot of furniture where a regular-sized robot vacuum doesn't fit, I still like this compact size, it looks nice and would be great to have more ultra-thin models on the market.
Yeah, looks nice! There is also the Ecovacs Deebot Slim 2, but I'm quite surprised that Xiaomi was able to add an object avoidance, strong suction, normal-sized dustbin, an average battery to such a compact device.
Try searching on Aliexpress for "Xiaomi ultra slim robot" (can't provide a link as RUclips usually deletes comments with Ali links), I was able to find brushes, filters, and cloth for the Ultra Slim. So far only a few sellers, but that's typical for a new model, should be more offers within a few months.
Thank you! I would choose a seller on Aliexpress based on a few criteria: A seller with a higher feedback rating (90% and higher), with more followers, more orders/reviews under the product, and probably if possible warehouses somewhere in the EU. I mentioned a seller that sent me this Ultra Slim from China in the video description, not the lowest price on Aliexress for this robot, but at least seems like it is a reliable seller.
Even though the Mop P has a Y-pattern mopping, I would choose the Dreame D9. Xiaomi robots are usually white-labeled products made by other companies like Dreame, Roborock, Viomi, and others. These models made by Dreame and Roborock are pretty good, but the Mop P was made by some other OEM manufacturer and I think its build quality, vacuuming performance, and software are worse compared to Dreame/Roborock.
I don't know, just haven't had a chance to review these robots. There are so many robot vacuums available on the market that it's impossible to review them all.
Most robots that I reviewed are good enough for hard floors, Xiaomi robots usually have a good price/features ratio so I would suggest something like the Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum Mop or Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum Mop Essential if you want a budget robot.
Spare parts are not compatible with other Xiaomi models as far as I can tell. You can order spare parts from Aliexpress, for example from this store: www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003285134564.html It's a new model and not very popular so far, but I think in the near future there will be more sellers selling accessories for the Ultra Slim.
Yeah, the Mijia 1T looks similar to the Mijia Ultra Slim except for the size, stronger suction, larger containers, and larger battery. The Ultra Slim is probably a bit weaker in terms of vacuuming and mopping performance, but someone might choose it over the 1T because of the compact size.
OMG finally new review, where have you been? 😁 And finally a good review from the Ultra Thin robot. I can’t wait to be available globally.
Haha, I just decided to slow down with the channel for a while 😀 Yeah, Xiaomi released a few new models this year and they all don't have global versions for some reason. Maybe we'll see the global version soon.
I am from Brazil! Congratulations on the review! First I see of this model, very complete
The best Review that I found. Thanks from Brazil!
Glad you liked it!
Very nice shots in the video. Good balance of info and cats. Very pleasant to watch.
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Hello, i am having problems to make it work in México, does I have to do something special in the configuration?

Hi there, I don't think so, it would need to create a new map

Thank you. It's impressive little robot I was waiting for 🤩
Yeah, it looks really nice! Just noticed that you have a lot of rare bots too:) Good luck at growing your channel, I just subscribed!
@@SmartRobotReviews thank you!
This Robert is a good lad
Hi nice review, which one would you recommend between Mop ultra slim, 2C and 1T ? Having value for the price as criteria
I like the Ultra slim for the size and cleaning performance, so my take would be the Slim
It became a very good video about an interesting robotic vacuum cleaner. I think more and more models like this will be released later!

@@SmartRobotReviews I know of a robot vacuum cleaner that's so low. Rowenta X-PLORER S60, but not as good in terms of specifications as the Xiaomi.
Yeah, looks nice! There is also the Ecovacs Deebot Slim 2, but I'm quite surprised that Xiaomi was able to add an object avoidance, strong suction, normal-sized dustbin, an average battery to such a compact device.
Very good for under furniture cleaning

Which is recently launched with 2700 suction power.

This robot is cool, but not as cool as KitKat and Buttercup! 🐈😻🥰
Haha, that's true 😺❤️ They say hi to you 🙃
@@SmartRobotReviews hi! 😂
Is this the v2 of 1C?
I don't think so. There is another model, the Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop 2C which looks like a successor of the 1C.
There is also the 1T which looks like a 2C with obstacle avoidance, but is taller than this Ultra Slim.
