"The puppet master", play tall and have a lot of vassals. When you have 3-4 vassals you are not allowed to move from your provinces(if it is hard, you can move on vassal territories) and either conquer North America or defeat a coloniser using your vassals.
as cherokee (or any Indigenous nation) take Indigenous ideas the reforme into a horde and take horde ideas, then into kingdon and take aristocratic ideas, then into republic and take plutocratic ideas, then into theocracy and take divine ideas (the order dont matter) so you will have all the government based ideas
Since they have a unique achievement, as the Cherokee you should try to go for said achivement (if you do not have it already); as the Cherokee you should go for the "No Trail of Tears" achievement which basically requires you to own most of the Eastern America colonial region
since the cherokee ended up making their own writing system based on the latin script, maybe make the cherokee powerful enough that the colonizers are influenced by you getting an institution first
Cost to migrate goes up, because you need to add the land you currently sit in to your tribal land (the make core button, also costs admin mana) If you become a settled tribe you can then settle these lands with your tribal dev.
as someone who likes playing as native it kinda pains me to see you keep going to the horde reform while you already border spain.. you can get reformed from the 4th tier(trade) if you border a coloniser. You gotta switch your 3th tier to settle first though, then you can also use your tribal developent to dev your capital before reforming
20:22 It shows that you could take Scottish land. Maybe some of your rebels occupied your ports so you couldn't before hand, even then couldn't you just seize land and then core it.
its because i believe he got a core on Perth somehow? saw he had a core on perth after he checked it the first time notice how he could have only gotten stuff adjacent to Perth
Cherokee had to deal with the Trail of Tears, so perhaps something related to that. Have tribal land that stretches from the Atlantic Ocean to modern-day Oklahoma before reforming. But that was a very painful event for them. You know what else is painful? Bankruptcies, so gotta get one to share the pain.
For Cebu, since forming Malaya takes too long, you can fight Spain or Castille and win as a goal. It's historical based as Lapu-lapu, the leader of a cebu barangay, won against Magellan in the Battle of Mactan (killing him in the process) driving out the spaniards (for a while). PS. You can also win against portugal since Magellan is Portugese but was comissioned by Spain.
@@jpthehistorian tbh Cebu's position in game is way too disadvantageous for an OPM as Tondo and Madyas are willing to kill you with their ally Butuan or Maguindanao as fast as possible. At least Madyas suffers the same problem with rng of Alliances between Cebu, Butuan, Sulu, and Maynila.
im from uruguay, i love you for play charrua. One of mi fauvorites :DDD My strategy is to migrate to the inca nations win a humiliate war and use it to convert to inti religion and reform via that. this way u get the gold and the monuments and is way more fun than wait :DD
Mapuche actually have the best ideas in the Americas to go horde mode, IMO. For all intents and purposes they WERE one, and they make a great march in any games around the area.
Spain: 'Colonizing Land in South American land.' Native American Tribe: 'Think that's a cool idea, does the same but takes over Scotland.' Spain: Wait, that's illegal.
I believe that if you settle early as a tribe, you can abuse the building that provide tribes dev by building it in each of your provinces. It slow your rush to horde or monarchy but if you are near an european usual landing point you can easily reform from them.
In this series chinook is coming up. In North America I know people usually migrate to Mexico, then conquer and become Nahuatl, use animism to skip the reforms, then conquer North American tribes and colonies. Have you tried nocb vassalizing opms before? I did that as Haida and managed with a bit of save scumming to take Northern Mexico and eastern North America. I think it allows you to accomplish more than migrating and waiting for the colonial powers to arrive. I haven’t played in a while and stopped at 1558, but I could afford a 15 regiment army and made 4 ducats a month. That’s garbage for Ming and European great powers but good for an isolated North American start. The main issue in that run was not getting adjacent colonists early to spawn feudalism, and thus tech lacking. If it’s not the Tarascans that threaten you it’s the Aztecs.
I just finished my Cherokee run. It was my third time completing an EU4 run. I definitely played them sub-optimally but I managed to complete my personal goal of converting them to Protestant. I didn’t achieve 75% trade power in the Chesapeake node however 🤨 But I had a lot of fun beating up the colonies of France, Portugal and Friesland 😀.
20:28 i think you could've taken land from scotland because you were vassalizing them ( the provinces got lit up so i think that means you could take them )
This tribe's flag using the Sol de Mayo always looked really weird to me but then again I have no earthly clue where that symbol comes from or where the modern nations got it from, it COULD be a tribal symbol for all I know.
@@TheRedHawk Iirc you can still add provinces to your tribal land even though you’re migrating. It’s the reason that natives get a bunch of land when they reform and you not doing it is the reason why you only got 2 provinces once you reformed.
I just wanna be the fly on the wall, when the King of some native village in South America tries to explain to his people that "We need to go invade Munster!"
Show strentgh would give you mana to migrate and dev institutions eventually. Better than humiliate imho. Your pain is part of what makes it a great series, but I feel for ya.

Find some European islands or something. 2) On Top of the World: Be the strongest colonial power as a colonial nation. For example, form Portugal as Brazil or Great Britian as the United States. 5) Unlimited power!: As a native nation, become emperor of the HRE.
Damn I thought this was gonna be a lot worse but you saved it in the end. By the way I loved how you completely misspelled Ceará and then said Pernambuco perfectly xD . . . Also I just noticed how all provinces colonized by the spanish have spanish names even before they arrive... that's kinda ominous, not even the land's history survived so the devs could name it differently.
I’m like you, whenever I play a Nation and I’m going through a campaign with a goal in mind o like to make up in my mind the story of their kingdom or empire as it progresses
Hawk, you should have done Tribal Border Feud against Guarani. Make their province your tribal land (you could still humiliate). That would reset the cost for migration. You would have to move into it to reset it. EDIT: Removed my doubts about whether or not it would work since you did the same thing with Potiguara.
Conquer the land needed for the No Trail of Tears achievement. Since the achievement itself requires all institutions that will take too long, but you can at least take the land needed.
It actually refers to a company being involved a drama with the credits and monetary tantiems to the tribe, but what if, as Cherokee, you would core all of the Ohio region, or Ohio-ish state territory, as a reference to how the Jeep Cherokee is made in Toledo, Ohio? :D
Begging reminds me how in anime characters travel and fight different opponents to hone their skills. I think during next native American playtrough you should defeat every native American nation and become the strongest one! 💪
To be honest this was an infuriating campaign to watch, not only did you not conquer all of the Spanish colony, you could have also taken a province from Scotland in the peace deal
So how come hawk never uses the show strength peace deal when he humiliates opm rivals. You still get power projection and you get 100 of each mana pool. That seems really helpful when migration is so expensive.

Ah yes Just think about this timeline. The South American native nation of Charrua invaded scoutland. We can dream.
I look forward to Polynesian nations. Many of them have unique missions, that i did figure out at first...

The lower stability you have the less it costs to migrate, so the strategy is to sit at -3 stab and stab up to declare war.
as a brazilian, watching you moving throughout brazil and saying the names of the regions is pretty funny hahahaha. I love your videos
of all places to colonize, I never imagined Scotland would make the fit hahaha x)
not adding provinces to tribal land hurts

As Cherokee, convert to tengri and have at least 100 cavalry units
I think it costs more as you aren't making the province you move to tribal so it costs more for the next one as it's further away
