In this video titled EU4 A to Z - Is This One of THE HARDEST STARTS In The Game I do a playthrough as Delhi in Europa Universalis 4 1.33 France. This is the series titled A to Z where I attempt to play every* nation in EU4 in alphabetical order. Of course I had to remove some nations so the challenge doesn't get too boring. In this video I play as the nation of Delhi, and I attempt to conquer the province and nation of Deli. So let's see if I managed to do it! I hope you guys enjoy this series. The problem with Denmark is that it is about to have a MASSIVE update, so maybe you might consider redoing it at a later date?

Just as I attempt to start my 5th or 6th run as Delhi to get their Achievement. Haha. For me keeping Sirhind loyal and avoiding the event isn’t hard. I just always deal with being behind in tech as I’m forced to dev all institutions. But other than that I am fine. Maybe I’m just stupid when it comes to managing my Mana lol.

No need to dev all institution, you only need to dev the first 3 (excluding feudalism of course).

Start by giving all three Mana privileges you LL get your land back. Start with economic.

For Denmark maybe re-establish the Danelaw in Britain or get Norsemen back on the Rurikid thrones.
It's actually pretty common for Denmark to ally Muscovy and get the Rurikovic dynasty on its throne.
Please do Dai Viet, it does have unique ideas... I was waiting for this since the series started. Please don't skip even if it's a bit out of alphabetical order now.
They also have an achievement that could be done in an A to Z time period without too much stress with creative vassal use
I think dai viet shares nis with Annam and Tonkin so doesnt count

The Angles originally came from Denmark to settle in England, so maybe do it again by conquering England. There's an achievement "The Iron Price" if you convert certain provinces in England to Danish culture too.
the Iron price is a reference to the Danelaw, which was a part of history where danish settlers controlled a large part of england in the viking age.
Denmark has The Iron Price achievement, so how about a classic game and go for that achievement?
And for some reason, the achievement has nothing to do with the price of Iron, so that trade good won't be relevant, and a bankruptcy will be incoming.
He could delay that game for the next expansion. Since Denmark will get that pretty new mission tree.

They all have the same strat at the start. He will play only as Ashikaga (already), Oda and So.
I just did this recently, it really helps if you make sirhind loyal and then seize their fort right away.

2nd…. Idk Denmark is whatever but when you do Sweden (I know it’s a long way off) do a reverse Big Blue Blob like the Dheli run where you take France as Sweden by 1550 or something

@@TheRedHawk Technically, if you just focus admin and take religious ideas, you can do it within 100-ish yrs. Destroy Novgorod, ally Poland, snake thru Muscovy, then Kazan, Uzbek, Oirat, etc. All you need to do is get to the Yellow Sea or Coast of Japan. You can kill Ming or Ashikaga in one war because of your tech advantage, steal a couple of tea provinces, trade company them, buy the good produced investments and spend some diplo points in those provinces. You'll get that 10% right away!
I remember I played as them the timurids took over half of India and was like Prussia of the east and it was so hard to do anything they kept warning me and it was the 1510s
They probably were trying to form Mughals. This is a very common thing for the Timurid Ai to do if it manages to survive it's disaster event
For anyone that wants a super easy start as Delhi, start as Sirhind. When you declare your independence war, fully annex Delhi and then reform them. 2000 IQ strat and super fun.
Hahahahah also Sirhind’s ruler is a 3 star general! I played as Sirhind to Delhi to Bharat cuz I converted to Sikhism. Honestly, one of the most fun games I played.
@@gaeagaea8018 yeah for achievement runs they're both the best nation to do the Punjab / Sikh one and the Delhi one. Only problem is these days Timurids seem a lot more determined to form Mughals (so anyone reading this that's stuck literally just roll back to 1.31)

I always thought I sucked at this game because I always struggled with Delhi while others had some impressive runs as them. Thank you for showing me it's actually hard and I'm not just dumb. I still suck at the game but at least there's that.

As Denmark you should do a Kino campaign: "The Danish Girl achievement", owning the provinces of the Big Five film festivals, Cannes (it doesn't exist so Toulon or Nice maybe?), Venice, Berlin, Sundance (Salt Lake City) and Toronto (idk how's called the province for the last two)

Delhi is one of the easier starts. Also never seen a Delhi collapse ever. I have seen multiple Jaunpur collapse, Bengal Collapse and Vijayanagar collapse.

For Denmark, play multiplayer and rival everyone like the AI does!
I know this isn't a serious min max run, but the proper way to start as Delhi, is to first make sirhind loyal, and then seize Lahore. This way you can full annex them with lower AE and get more cash from the in the one scripted war. Also get alot of allies so you can easily defeat sirhind, as their one fort of Lahore is now yours.
I love how he kept the footage going just to show the Ming Invasion fucking him up at the end. Excellent touch
2 suggestions for Denmark ; conquer the province of Demak in Java or recreate the Danelaw
Enforce the danelaw over the English and make them your subject!
Guys there is an easy way to beat sirhind start of the game wait 1 month to declare War on multan probably have no ally and dont make peace until declare another nation and another nation after that u have bunch of provinces allys and power to beat sirhind

When you get to Ethiopia, consider doing the Holy Roman Ethiopia Challenge:
As Ethiopia, migrate to Europe (bonus points if you conquer Italy - take that, Mussolini!) and join the HRE, remaining Coptic. Then, influence the electors until you become emperor of the HRE.
I don't like how you zoom in into the middle of the screen during peace deals. Why not zoom to the bottom left instead? That way, the peace deal won't be blocked out of view.
Yeah the meme zoom doesn't really track with me either most of the time. I imagine it's just a standard setting they activate in their editor to give the video a more "dynamic" feel
Maybe a bit late but see everyone says you should reintroduce the danelaw and/or conquer England. I'd say maybe conquer all starting provinces of England to make it a bit more challenging if you want to
Hi for denmark i would love to see when u literally destroy ur country then manage to fix it (for example lose both of ur unions then manage to conquer it again or sth like that) i came up with the idea cuz there is a phrase in my native language that translates to "bad thing are happening in danish country" so maybe you could try to make this kind of stuff :)

You should try converting to sihkism and forming punjab as a nation in india. They have some pretty good ideas and its pretty fun finishing religious ideas an getting a casus belli on literally all your neighbours. Also theres an acheivement for doing it
TIL that you can still get the rise of Bahlul event even if you destroy Delhi as someone else and reform them, like with Jaunpur

In CK2, there's an achievement for owning a province in India as a Norse nation. As Denmark, own any province in India.

As someone else mentioned, Denmark is going to get so much more flavor in the next update.
As of now, the only interesting thing to do as Denmark is to conquer England and get the Iron Price achievment.
I recently played as Denmark and while it was fun, I wish I had waited for the update, as there really wasnøt anything to do but get the achievment.

While Delhi might be hard for a new player, it's not so bad if you get a diplo rep advisor and the 3rd Iqta ability that gives another diplo rep. You can easily ally Bengal, possible other powerful tags too. Imo, Mzab is still the hardest start in the game because you start with shit dev in an area with shit dev, surrounded by Tunis and Morocco, and noone will ally you until a few yrs later when you get bigger and improve with Morocco. And of course, the Third Way is still PAIN
Capture Vienna and move your capital to there as Denmark.

You could done the French Strat here, just ally someone bordering your target (like Scotland and England) transport army, call them in while declaring, ez win without using navy.

Dehli is super easy as long as you don't spark the event that causes sirhind to declare independence. All you have to do is non stop wars; as long as you are at war, the event can't fire, and if you wait till 1454 you can just instantly annex delhi in 2 months.
