Get the I don’t like sand achievement because khorasan sounds like corusant and if that’s too had conquer all the provinces whose names sound like corusant
As Khorasan you should build Empire of the Sand, an empire so big that it spans from the Afghanistan Desert all the way to Gobi Desert in Mongolia and way down to Sahara Desert in Africa 😎
And the kalahari, Patagonian, Ogaden, arctic, etc prob just have a map up and just group nearby deserts together bcs there’s so many deserts I didn’t even list half
Yeah any kind of special empire like china mandate of heaven, HRE or daimyo system maybe by just naming it after the nation you're playing like for this example the "Khmer empire" and gain a casus beli to include by force small neigbors (not big ones)
@@luisricardolozadaamaya670 It shares them only with breakaway statas. They are still called "Dai Viet ideas". Besides Red Hawk done video with Karabakh that doesn't have own ideas, they are armenian and are called "Armenian Ideas" in the game.
Honestly, I have seen only once some vassals break up, and it only happened in a campaign, everyone had nations of 3 or 4 states and Austria still vassalized Hungary, and they rebelled, and I couldn't even support them because I didn't border Austria lol
Cambodian history is them peaking really high with the Khmer Empire then just shit somehow getting consistently worse for hundreds of years until you get to the Khmer Rouge which is probably as low as it's possible to go.
@@nwahnerevar9398 Hopefully, HOPEFULLY. God please don't let it somehow get worse than Pol fucking Pot, no people group deserves that. Except maybe the Americans (is American, can say that)
Hey Red Hawk, I think it is really cool you are doing this A to Z challenge. I won't be watching them all at once, but as I play the various nations I will check your playthrough, and I am sure others will do so as well. To make this easier, would it be possible to put the name of the country in the title or thumbnail every time? Thanks again and good luck! You are a hero to EU4 scrubs like me. :)
The funny thing is I always have (had, I do everything I can to keep the lib desire down) issues with vassals ticking just over 50%, gaining a GP ally, and declaring independence immediately when they are my vassals but when it's a vassal of an ai and I support them and 2 other GPs support them they dont break free
I've done two runs as Naples and win both I ended up with the emperorship as I went diplomatic. As well, I also grabbed an accidental PU over France in one of them. Oops. But it was way worth it and France seemed tres content. ;-)
@@jacklovejoy5290 A bit unrelated, I wonder if the AI programed to know that having a 300 dev horde on their border is really bad? I don't think so because in my Manchu game I was beating up ming without taking mandate and a little break away state took the mandate and destroyed their small state.
I get the vassalization of the others, but why would you vassalize the stateless society OPMs? They are easy to conquer yourself and animist, so easier to convert too.... and then vassal slots are free for bigger and more useful ones. Hopefully Dai Viet soon, I started playing them in the time you were supposed to release that vid, has been a while now.
Ignoring the whole tons of vassals shtick he's going for here, it's generally good to vassalize opms like that early in the game because it's a bigger power spike to have their troops and the force limit increase over coring some crappy land. Unless you can also get large reliable allies that take you way way over diplo relations, vassals are the way to go. Also early game diplo points are weak since dev costs are still high and trade/production income isn't scaled up yet while admin are needed to unlock idea groups. Of course integrating them later on is a good idea when you're not memeing to recreate the HRE.
Khmer is one of my favourite nations. Medium size country which has a disaster to fight through with some serious sized neighbours who hate you. Usually take expansion and colonize all the archipelago region. By the 1600s it is easy to be in the top three with tech easily on par with Europe. However, I found your attempt at auto-destruct quite illusatrative as I have never had that many vassals! 😅

I didn't have problems with technology, but my ideas was pretty sad. My personal opinion is "You can make money in this region, just when you control Malaka trade node". Whatever it was funny gameplay
My favourite Eu4 RUclipsr. Doesn’t Champa have a mission tree and ideas? They are the only Hindu nation in south east Asia so it would make an interesting episode
The area around Khorasan was the wealthiest, most populous place on earth during the Seljuk era, so how about trying to become the economic hegemon of the world?

So happy to see someone else cover Khmer! One of my favorite nations in the game and show off how good this country really is.
Still waiting for Dai Viet….
Awesome run by the way. I really like Southeast Asia since leviathan. The Ayutthaya campaign was one of my favorites.
The thing is, Dai Viet does not have unique national ideas, it shares them with someone else

Vassalizing Ayutthya is harsh on liberty desire though

I think I'd love a part 2 of this, where you just keep the vassal train going, breaking down every major nation and subjugating the pieces.
I think a longer play would have to be careful to limit vassal numbers. As otherwise diplo points will quickly drop to zero and stay there.
Honestly, I have seen only once some vassals break up, and it only happened in a campaign, everyone had nations of 3 or 4 states and Austria still vassalized Hungary, and they rebelled, and I couldn't even support them because I didn't border Austria lol
