you had me at “rival harem” but imagine my disappointment when there was no evil, rival protag-kun (an antog-kun if you will). I simply think having an antog-kun to foil the protag-kun would be 1000% funnier, especially when the evil harem girls eventually leave the evil harem for the good harem lol
@@coronette Or it could be easily converted into true trash by having the girls go for protag-kun despite antag-kun being the talented, charismatic, cool one. Now THAT'S trash.
There is being a hater, and then there is hiring 5 hotties to open up a parody cafe for the express purpose of putting a cafe you don't like out of business
There's no surpassing that hot burning bag of dogshit. The only redeeming quality king's game ever had was turning people onto Coldrain. The actual anime was a dumpster fire, and the plot played out like it was written by an edgy 12 year old during recess after he was bullied in 2nd period.
Having read the manga... oh boy, this goes places. Like, this is edgy revenge. And the revenge even goes somewhere, and he in a way mellows out. Until he get to the revenge point and then... ooooof. Won't spoil any more. But it was an... enthralling read, I wonder if the manga can keep the edge going in the new arc.
It's impressive how they're innovating on how to make isekai slop worse because at some point there's no way it can be incompetence, it has to be a team of writers and animators coming together and deciding to really put in the effort and dethrone the current king of trash.
They did True Beauty dirty in the adaptation man. The Manhwa art really sells her ability to transform herself with makeup, and is quite realistic on that part
Geoff the mothers basement, I need a roast of vampire dormitory, my body aches the breakdown of the sex change, literal cliff hangers and of course the "I hate you dad but I am just gonna do everything you say because the plot needs to happen"
Please, and Geoff, look into the manga author’s other works. You’ll find nothing but insane premises executed with the right amount of absurdity, which is also at an insane level
Oh god the first line being "in order to become a vampire lord you must find your destined partner and drink their blood" like- I feel I've read 10 year olds first oc stories with nearly the same plot points xD
The cherry on top of Strongest Magician is that it apparently was an isekai in the manga, but the anime confusingly replaced all references to real-life Japan with "the ancient civilization"
In the English dub of Alya hides her feelings in Russian, Alya is voiced by Sarah Natochenny, who is actually Russian, and Ash Ketchum in Pokemon. It’s a cool piece of info that drew me into watching it
Dont worry, its also kinda badly drawn. Tho it is a fun read, kinda between dungeon meshi and monster musume. With the chapters usually beeing fighting the (recipe) fitness tool and new monstergirl of the week
@@apocolototh1948even compared with other trash shows it doesn't hold its own tbh. The only thing going for it is world building about physiology of monsters and even that is utter garbage and is mainly focused on the crappy show concept of why they got fat.

Yeah it really is does it always mean it's the answer sadly for anyone I would have to say NO since those types are really too hopeful and these times really go insane and their minds ran away from them. Since this medium of anime may have it's good but also there bad hiding around too in the shadows.
I found Ossan very heartwarming. As someone who's going through a similar journey, it was one punch in the feels for me. In the 30s and trying to break into a career where it's more advantageous to start young, and feeling like you don't belong and won't make it far because of that age gap. Despite investing time and being able to perform when necessary, and having a small group of family/friends who are rooting for you, feeling like an imposter because there are those who doubt you belong, including yourself. And yet when there is that intersection where past experiences help with present goals, you show your worth to everyone except for yourself. I genuinely got misty eyed every episode from the beginning, and it's shaping up to be one of my favorites for the year if just for the first few episodes.
@@erk8520 Can't wait! A lot of recent anime have been hitting real hard in ways a younger me wouldn't have appreciated, but this one especially alongside Freiren

On one hand, there are still a bunch of nerves and blood vessels and stuff around the crotchety area, even if you've been castrated; kicking someone there should still hurt more than usual, and being kicked usually hurts. On the other hand, it's funny.
@@timothymclean Yep. Honestly, it can mess up a woman pretty badly, too, because while the hips are supposed to move, that's for babies going out, not while receiving external blunt force while supporting your whole body weight. ...Its so fucked up that things like "That's my purse, I don't know you" are legitimately hilarious, because no one should be kicking people like that, short of dead serious self defense situations. This horrible anime also does not deserve this joke here either, dammit
Failure Frame has one (1) good idea. Status effect spells in RPGs are often considered underpowered, but they offer more tactical depth than basic damage-dealing spells. You could write an effective LitRPG "exploiting underpowered powers" kinda story around a character with JRPG powers limited to status effects. However, you would need to understand _why_ status effect spells are often considered underpowered and incorporate that into the script. Protip: The really good status effects almost never work on the enemies you _really_ want to inflict them on.
oooh or even, imagine someone whose only moves are debuffs! Universally good skills in RPGs that never really get represented outside of... much of any anime.
It kinda had the opposite effect for me because the RPGs that I mainly play are SMT and Etrian Odyssey, where status effects are extremely powerful and have ways to consistently inflict them. I was like “oh wow, he’s a hexer. How is this supposed to be fun?”
@@alyssasalmon4883 it's more that anime doesn't cover it, but video games do. Because it's not seen as fun, I guess? Because past the surface level I think it could be fun: Like imagine most monsters of the week only being weak to one status effect, but they have to go on a steak out to figure it out rather than just casting scan or trying everything until it works. Tyranny mentioned! Hope you’re enjoying it, it’s my current “CRPG I got years ago and slowly chip away at so the imbalance doesn’t get overwhelming” and the lore is so fun
Tyranny is such an underrated gem. I love how trying to play the intro as a "good" person invariably results in newbies going the Queenslayer route and pissing off absolutely everyone. I also appreciate how Kyros' Law contains a lot of good things that modern day people would side with, so it's easy to just go "Oh, so your response to being told that your children will be able to inherit property and work any job regardless of gender is to spit on me. Off the tower you go ma'am." It's easy to agree with Tunon that everything would be better if these people just accepted the empire's rules peacefully rather than dying to preserve a backwards way of life. When there's a good enough rationalization, you can convince yourself to do anything.
I Parry Everything, should have been called I Misunderstand Everything and No One Ever Clears it Up. Like the leaps in logic the MC has at times is just outstanding that it's gone from a joke to a what are you talking about? I mean did none of those schools he went to teach what monster's looked like by level? Ossan on the other hand taking strays. The Misconceptions for Ossan are just with his confidence, and how much he looks up to the Adventurers.
@@mcmordainI’ll try Ossan but I do like Parry and the jokes haven’t gone old for me personally (but that may be because misunderstanding tropes ((that aren’t for romance)) is one of my favorite tropes so uh, I may be the niche it is for haha).
The MC from I Parry Everything is physically painful to watch because of this, if they had done exactly the same thing as Ossan and have him be like "Oh you know, maybe I'm actually kind of strong" it would have been a far better show imo. As is the only good thing to come out of the show is the "I Parry Intelligence" memes
I think the absolute worst part of Failure Frame is that it uses those 3D models of human characters to basically have them look at each other and make small movements. Like, at this point I don't get why the whole thing wasn't a 3D art show because it almost seems like there's only 15% actual drawn animation.
@triggerfairy4070 oh I'm just talking worst on an animation front I guess. The writing and world building is a whole separate level of dogshit for sure.
Good point. the 3D models are jarring, but I thought added at least something to how edgy trash it is, like those small movements would never be animated normally, so it at least might produce some characterization? Like awkwardness/shyness of MCs in Beastars or Trigun Stampede. but then it just .. doesn't develop any character. The monsters have 'cool design' originally, but then they all look exactly the same - and move like janky video game monsters. Glad this video went over the r*pe shit because it's the lowest brow 'evil character' writing I've ever seen. "let's use the bounty to buy a woman and fuck her relentlessly for the next 6 months and ruin her" --> "you fool! When you try to break them, they don't last months. haha. ha." Feels like some weird cultural thing with needing clear reasons to kill, but tbh I'd have enjoyed it infinitely more if he just casually murdered them without waiting for the r&pe monologues.
It is easily the worst part of the show, but ironically Seras is easily the best part of the show. It's no wonder every antagonist in the show is literally charmed and possessed by her beauty. Hell, even the Gacha Goddess is jealous of her.
So "True Beauty" is just the result of someone seeing the jokes and parodies about 90s RomComs where they make the "ugly, unpopular girl" into a total hottie by removing her glasses and washing her hair, and just said "Yes, let's make that an entire series!"
What is the message of the anime, that you have to submit to social norms and have to hide the real you? Isn't "manga" Korean? Isn't that one of the horrible things about Korean society, where you can be discriminated against even because of your blood type...
it's honestly not that surprising that it's one of the single most popular manwha (Korean comics) - the absolute trash lowest common denominator premise does have the same kind of appeal to girls that Solo Leveling has to guys, and neither has any more depth than a puddle in a grocery story parking lot. kinda hoping they start adapting some of the shoujo isekai manwha, though. Villains are Destined to Die deserves a premium tier adaptation.
@@dvillines26 True beauty's webtoon did have a completely different plot though, she just went to a regular high school and in the beginning it was about her insecurities and how differently people treated her based on her appearance. It did kind of abandon that whole premise in favor of love triangle shenanigans in the second season though, which was a shame. Also agreed, Villains are Destined to Die is goated
@@kjarakravik4837 I was looking for a comment talking about that. Because it's been a while since I read the beginning of the webtoon, but the description of the anime sounded soooo insanely different. Seems like they took the worst parts to the anime..
@@kjarakravik4837 I came down to try and find a comment about True Beauty and how its completely different. For one thing, the "ugly" version of her in the webtoon has way more of a difference than her make up version. It also breaks down how/why she does her make up and its actually pretty interesting. One big difference is that she has to use eye tape to make her eyes larger which the anime didnt do for some reason and honestly that makes a huge difference. She also contors the hell out of her face to the point that it does change the shape look making her much different. She went to a beautisian college and not some art school. And while I dont like the love triangle aspect of the story, the second season has some interesting plot points with starting and running a beauty RUclips channel and managing social media as an influencer.
somehow I believe you actually hurt yourself getting your phone and are confessing cleverly packaging it in your thirst for trash. all of this deserves much respect.
That's really good for you and for some of those can say I enjoyed this and well if people were known to go with good sense and not dealing in impulsivity we wouldn't have this either or wouldn't have it there.
The natural progression of an anime fan follows what I will call the "U curve of anime taste." It starts with having "bad taste" as a kid, since you're just discovering anime. As you get older, you develop what you consider to be "good taste," favoring anime that is more conventionally seen as high-quality. But eventually, you reach a point where you watch whatever you want, including so-called "trash," because you've learned to enjoy it, especially when you just want to unwind after a long day. You can still distinguish truly good anime from the trash, but you no longer feel the need to rip on anything that doesn't meet high standards. Instead, you embrace the trash for what it is.
and then there's my generation, who grew up watching Saint Seiya (the non American censor butchered variety), then moved on to Escaflowne, then Evangelion and Cowboy Bebop. We skipped the initial trash part of the curve, how blessed were we? then the inevitable spiral down the trash bottomless pit got to us, such is the way of things.
Just curious, when were you born? I was born in 1992. I don’t actually think everything I grew up on was trash, but I didn’t really have great taste either. I just watched whatever anime was on because it was captivating to me as a kid. Even though I didn’t grow up on today’s shows, if something like My Hero Academia had been around when I was a kid, I probably would have liked it. I grew up on Pokémon, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Beyblade, Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, Gundam Seed, Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist, Inuyasha, and basically whatever was on TV.
@@myne5689 Born in 1992 is like brand new! That explains why your definition of "basically whatever was on TV" is actually "whatever was basically on cable". Because there was no anime on rabbit ears. Except Bush Baby and Astroboy I think.
Honestly my biggest problem with the character designs is that their faces are generic anime waifus. They'd look way better if they had some chubby cheeks at least! Still not my type of anime, it's just a pet peeve of mine when it comes to chubby characters.
The dub of Alya is genuinely a work of art. Aaron Dismuke and Sarah Natochenny (who does speak Russian IRL) turn in some of the finest performances of each of their careers.
It probably wouldnt come in the form of a full roast, but I would love a video dissecting the importance of a good harem protagonist, given we have gotten so many good examples as of late.
Honestly a deep dive on the evolutions (and hits and misses) of the harem protagonist would be so awesome. Especially amongst the trash, there's such glorious (and sometimes, maybe often, horrifying) variations and trends to observe.
@@GustavoMartinez-op9gs The light novel does it a bit better, but they skip a lot of the exposition in the anime which just makes him look dumb rather than more naive then a nun asking for directions in a red light district. I'm JUST saying, 2.5D seduction's *manga* is WAY "higher heat" than the anime. It's uncensored, every fanservice panel is fully colored and there's full nudity like every 5 pages. do with this information what you will
I was wondering what the appeal was supposed to be for people who already have "The World God Only Knows" and "Science Fell in Love so I have to Prove it" for our 2D waifu loving main characters. That'd be it.
It's nowhere near that crazy with fanservice, especially later on when it gets more dramatic. They also just remove full on nudity further on but that could just be the official version.
The way Geoff described Failure Frame's plot, I kept getting flashbacks to My Instant Death Ability is So Overpowered which against all odds is still better than Failure Frame
I think because with Instant Death, the author knows his ability is OP and is playing around; having his enemies go through all these elaborate setups knowing full well they'll fail in the end so you laugh at the shenanigans they go through trying to stop the inevitable. While with Failure Frame the author thought he was being clever with the application of the power, forgetting that without a strong build up, all the main character's fights boil down to point and click. Failure Frames "combat" could work if he had to _work_ for his wins. Like he has powerful status effects, but he has to do more for them to work than to look and command them. That and there should be more of the Goddess. She's actually a really engaging villain when the focus is on her. Mostly because you love to see how she manipulates the students into doing everything she wants.
what if protags status ailments would always work, but he still had to like collect the thing that would apply it? Like he had to fight a basalisk and kill it to have its fsng made into a dagger that applies paralysis or poison? Or he makes gas grenades that his ability buffs since hes sruck eith weaker materials? Something like that could work
Failure Frame is a prime example of a trash fire, the sort we get maybe once or twice a season. Those usually have something that will make me go "meh" and just drop it after episode 1 (like "the strongest magician is a human" or whatever it's called this season), but Failure Frame managed to get the balance just right. It's like watching a train go off the rails in slow motion - it's a tragedy, but you just can't stop watching lol
@@andrewowens4421 This is the difference -- Takatou's ability is a joke. A REALLY funny one, if you buy into it being what the fandom describes it as: "What if a Keter got isekai'd?" You're not watching a power-fantasy isekai -- you're watching a horror story from the other side (which is especially reinforced by just how awful the other side is -- might as well be an 80s slasher flick). I mean... the manga references r/dragonsfuckingcars in the first chapter. It's a shitpost of the HIGHEST caliber (shame that didn't make the anime).
Maybe it's because I'm a video editor but the bit at 10:30 where the footage of True Beauty and Vampire Dormitory almost perfectly transitioned into one another was a work of art. I didn't even notice for a second. Take your complex edits and After Effects and shove it Captain Disillusion, _this_ is what we editors strive for.
“A revenge fantasy so edgy it makes Shield Hero look well-adjusted.” To be fair, Naofumi chose not to kill the people that deliberately went out of their way to destroy his life for their own selfish goals. Oh, wait, that was an utterly horrible decision which almost doomed several worlds! He SHOULD have gone further into edgy revenge fantasy territory!
to be fair...in the source material, when asked if he wanted them to be executed, naofumi said "off with their heads" before anyone had time to blink.... but the queen told him that she would prefer if he didn't cuz it would be a diplomatic nightmare for her to deal with... so he compromised and did the stupid punishment he did, which is still dumb with or without this context so it kinda makes sense that the animators decided to cut it from the adaptation
I think it's a bit different due to the hints they have been dropping that things aren't as they seem. Like growing up extremely sheltered in a cottage inside a magic barrier, there being a late legendary hero with his last name, etc. The main character also has a different mentality since he just works odd jobs like construction or drain cleaning.
Last Dungeon Boonies is doable since the kid is young and naive, besides the old hag actively working to perpetuate the misconception for her own personal benefit. The main character of I parry everything is just dumb for the sake of it.
Crazy how the sister in Alya is much better than the rest of the cast. Also the show may as well be called Alya rarely speaks her feelings in Russian because after ep 1 that drops off the map

The problem with I Parry Everything is that it has one joke, and it got old by episode 4. Ossan's protagonist at least gets a clue by the end of the first arc.
Ossan is properly hilarious, the "oblivious MC" bit lasts only for like the first 3 or 4 episodes and then everything else gets to shine. While I aggree with you about the confusion of which timeline is "good" and which is "wrong/bad" in Why nobody remembers me?, I thnk the original is supposed to be "good" because it's peace, while the new "bad" one is eternal war. I'm not sure that justifies it, but that's the idea.
To be fair, in the original timeline the other races in no small terms wanted to annihilate humanity. They hated them more than they hated one another. In that case humanity didn't have much of a choice _but_ to wipe out all the other races because the other races weren't trying to come to a peaceful conclusion. So yes, humanity committed genocide but only because they didn't have much choice. The new timeline though reflects the idea that if the other races at least _attempt_ to understand humans they'll realize that there isn't much difference between the two.

Isn't that basically Kumo's whole strategy in So I'm a Spider?

The monsters have 'cool design' originally, but then they all look exactly the same - and move like janky video game monsters.
Glad this video went over the r*pe shit because it's the lowest brow 'evil character' writing I've ever seen. "let's use the bounty to buy a woman and fuck her relentlessly for the next 6 months and ruin her" --> "you fool! When you try to break them, they don't last months. haha. ha."
Feels like some weird cultural thing with needing clear reasons to kill, but tbh I'd have enjoyed it infinitely more if he just casually murdered them without waiting for the r&pe monologues.

I'm STILL quoting "A Minotaur? Perry the Minotaur!"
That just sounds like battered wife syndrome to me.

Just curious, when were you born? I was born in 1992. I don’t actually think everything I grew up on was trash, but I didn’t really have great taste either.
Take your complex edits and After Effects and shove it Captain Disillusion, _this_ is what we editors strive for.
Pus Sized Elf looks so bad animated, I'm sobbing.
that's a hilarious typo 😂
I love it.😊
Nah I'm done@@Mark_o_Helm
@@owllover1237 I had to read it like 3 times until I found it lol
I haven't been so let down since Aku No Hana, Synecdoche's art is NOT done justice
“A revenge fantasy so edgy it makes Shield Hero look well-adjusted.”
To be fair, Naofumi chose not to kill the people that deliberately went out of their way to destroy his life for their own selfish goals.
Oh, wait, that was an utterly horrible decision which almost doomed several worlds! He SHOULD have gone further into edgy revenge fantasy territory!
To be fair, Naofumi didn't realize how bad Malty gets. (she gets _horrid_ later on, but there's a good reason for that)
@@andrewowens4421 You spelled _Bitch_ wrong
@andrewowens4421 who's malty? I know there's a character called Bitch.
to be fair...in the source material, when asked if he wanted them to be executed, naofumi said "off with their heads" before anyone had time to blink.... but the queen told him that she would prefer if he didn't cuz it would be a diplomatic nightmare for her to deal with... so he compromised and did the stupid punishment he did, which is still dumb with or without this context so it kinda makes sense that the animators decided to cut it from the adaptation
Lol that wasn't dumb
"Perpetuating his misconceptions that that's what a regular goblin looks like, that's a cow, etc"
What, we doing Last Dungeon Boonies again?
Bro I worked out abs today! I really wasn't ready for how hard "that episode *born to die, world is a fuck* manifesto" would make me laugh. Damn you for being so damn funny Geoff I am in literal pain!
I'm disappointed that you rounded 2.5D Seductions up from 2.5 dumpsters to 3. Should have committed more to the joke.
oh nooooo come on! pseudo harem is so sweet and wholesome! A single bread basket? it deserves AT LEAST two boxes of chocolates! I want to talk to the manager
I think I'd have to give it a dumpster full of discarded sets and props from that high school play you were in and are extremely embarrassed about.
I agree it's super cute also there's actual plot development which is so rare for that kind of romcom
Tbf makes sense it didnt make the list considering it’s not “trashy” but like you all, it is very good. Chocolate isn’t trash though haha.
Failure Frame deserves to be in this video but I do like that main girl isn't head over heels over main character.
If it wasn't for the trash cg it would be watchable.
@@mugendono23I honestly really like it
Oh, no, she is. She 100% wants edgy MC to bring the edge in an entirely different way. I imagine by the next episode they'll be making that very clear.
My source is that I read ahead in the light novels and no I will never recover and yes I'll probably keep reading.
The scene where the Gacha Goddess dissed the protagonist's trash RPG skills is the hardest I have ever laughed. Can't believe you are supposed to take it seriously
@@DeathWatchChampion holy cow are you kidding?
Just discovered your fine self sir, I adore how I both don't understand and fully understand your many garbage recipticals ranking system.
lol, my first thought was “a hockey trophy?”. I’m kind of proud of my own brain to go there first.
*Looks at video runtime*
We’re eating good this summer people!
Geoff maintaining his Canadian street cred by being sure not to besmirch the honor of Lord Stanley's Cup. 👍
Beck is dad rock? I'm dead. I'm ashes on the wind. You've killed me
26:50 it was on my list before but after that line “good morning my brother” was delivered so well and hilariously I have to put it at the top of my list now 😂
"Don't worry about the bill, we've already robbed you." - Genius
I love Makeine so much this season, I'd didn't give any consideration to it showing up here. I'm glad you got a chance to talk about it more. Here's hoping the rest of the season plays off!
watching some pretty heavy video essays before this so this is just what i needed
2 minutes ago? this is the quickest ive gotten to see a MB video! lol
Thanks for showing up early!
Failure Frame is so unbelievably over the top that it's an absolute blast.
0:36 "I REFUSE", "Bold move Cotton, let's see how that plays out for him." ... "OOOH, not so good."
Can you imagine if 100 Girlfriends stole the evil rival harem concept?
I kinda just want a harem anime that explores that. The "good" harem vs the "evil" harem and how those two sides with clash. It could be a meta commentary on the good and bad points in harem animes.
I think that would qualify as a war.
The moment I saw Plus-size Elf get announced I just knew it was going to be featured on Hottest Trash, nice to know I was right
Thank you. I absolutely did need clarification on the Stanley cup. Because when I first heard "women are obsessed with the Stanley cup" my first thought was "since when do women like hockey so much?"
Since yaoi fans decided actual hockey players were going to be their newest playthings. 😂
I KNEW about the thermos and what they were called and I still had a moment of 'why does this anime has hockey-inspired fire-fuel in the trash ratings'
I did a marathon hate watch of failure frame (at least the first 6 episodes) because of your recommendation and yes from what I have seen it does give King's Game a run for its money.
Ah, so good you finally played Tyranny. A great game.
"Dense enough to have their own event horizons"
I am SO stealing that.
Also, do they ever give Konami-sensei an episode? I kinda fell off of makeine after a while because, despite how beautifully soft everyone is, I just needed to take a break.
As a woman, 2.5 Jigen no Ririsa is unironically one of my favorites this season, although I knew it'd definitely be on this list. I like the characters(mc included), I love how supportive the female cosplayers are, I love the op and ed, (especially the op because meychan) and Junya Enoki's voice acting is incredible ofc.
Other things I love this season:
-Giji Harem
-Monogatari Off Season
-Oshi No Ko S2
-Dead Demons Destruction
-Too Many Losing Heroines
-Mayonaka Punch
Others I like, just not as much:
-Senpai's a Girl
-The Vtuber anime (name too long)
-Isekai Shikkaku
Isekai shikkaku got a lot better after ep3
@@murderman8578 Oh yeah, I'm currently caught up to ep 7, it's really cool 🙌
Not a fan of the anime adaptation of 2.5D seduction but absolutely love the Manga.
@@bernieburton6520 why's that
@@murderman8578 the anime is heavily censored compared to the Manga for one thing, and the animation in the anime is not that good for another. It's a very mediocre adaptation of an extremely good ecchi harem comedy Manga full of great characters with fleshed out personalities, backstories, and character arcs, plus, hilarious meta comedy and the occasional fourth wall breaking. The Manga is very self aware and simultaneously has a lot of heart and love for cosplay culture while not taking itself too seriously and having a ton of fun with the story and characters. The anime just doesn't really live up to the quality of the Manga.
Also, the animation has some actual character every now and then! I feel like it got a decent director who's super constrained by a very tight budget and is getting as much out of it as they possibly can
@@JeffDvrx Rick accepting his OPness made the show exponentially better. I bailed on Parry after ep 2 when the source readers said, "nope, sorry. Still stupid." about Noor.
Episode 4 sealed the deal for me... I dropped the show and went to watch the Backyardigans with my kids afterwards.
@@JeffDvrx Ossan is great. I caught up with the manga and Rick is such a likable character. I like how the story progresses with him affecting other characters (like the military school ark) and knowing their worth. Also the recurring joke with him meeting Angelica constantly is hilarious.
Yep exactly I have no idea why he made it seem better. It was just infuriating how dumb he was. He doesn't even wise up in the light novels 😭
HELL YEAHH!!! FIRST 2.5D SEDUCTION SEGMENT IVE SEEN THIS SEASON! THIS IS WHAT IVE BEEN WAITING FOR!!! Also you showed two different characters while talking about the the teacher
amazing job Geoff! takes for putting the time to put this together
I never watch any of the anime that you put on these menus, but goddamn if it isn't a feast to hear you describe how morally and cinematically bankrupt some of these shows are. You truly are the pinnacle of anime garbage restaurants. Thank you for your service.
It's amazing how the Alya series made it to both the Summer's Best & the Hottest Trash lists
ive never been the type to watch trashy shows; but i still watch all of these! your vids are alwyas so fun
oh brother you are missing out on so much fun lol
you're weak and your bloodline is weak
I don't know why Makeine: Too many losing Heroines is anywhere near a 'trash list'. Sure he gave it 5 bins, but that show is best of the season if you ask me. Best animation visual/graphically, best character design, best voice acting, best comedy all wrapped up in one.
Right? Why is that anime even here? Just because it has some fanservice?
0:34 i audably gasped i dont think ive ever done that before
hey, the Ossan does realize he is strong after all, that's why he develops the Arts of Going Easy to not hurt anyone
i feel like a month on, my opinions of Parry and Ossan have completely flipped, and I cannot watch Parry with how unbelievably freaking stupid Norr is and Rick just feels like a dude doin his best.
Im honestly shocked that Wistoria isnt on here with how much that shows leans on the "everybody on the entire planet hates protag-kun (except one teacher and a bunch of girls who are head over heals in love with him) for being weak but hes actually secretly the strongest there ever was" thing
There are like 6 draco malfoys in the first 5 episodes
And a Snape
Really? That's what you get? They don't hate him for being "weak", they hate him cause of not being able to use magic in a magic school, two very different thing and only happening cause freaking principle thought it would be "fun" to have him around
Wistoria is a bit generic, but it has charm. Plus I would binge watch the entire show, just for the fights alone.
@feathercat9118 I agree! I don't find Will as interesting or entertaining as Mash or Asta but the animation really is gorgeous and the world is shaping up to be interesting!
@@CosilHeiirThank you. I was annoyed by the this also. If I joined a bodybuilding competition & I was a skinny nerd who couldn't lift weights, I wouldn't be surprised if the other competitors where annoyed by me being there
Failure Frame wasn't doing much for me until the insane shit with the dragon riders then I was in love. As soon as that happened it went from just edgey to jumping off the edge and staying afloat and acheiving flight by rapidly flipping off the ground below
I fully get what you mean lol. I got to that point and went "oh they're fully embracing it, I can respect that"
Thanks a lot Geoff, these videos always make my day.
"Are you going to shoot me?"
"Of course I am!"
"I refuse!"

Had to click immediately. So glad to be back at Chez Garbage
Every season i look forward to your one's to watch to know what i watch, then i wait for this video so i can be amazed at the current state of waifu science
