Dorothy Turner was played by Jorja Curtright, who was married to a screenwriter- and potential director- named Sidney Sheldon. Over a decade later, he created and wrote scripts for "THE PATTY DUKE SHOW"- and created, produced, and mostly wrote "I DREAM OF JEANNIE" (of which Jorja was a guest star during the first season).

King Donovan, who was Imogene Coca's husband, often played sneaky weasels (he later appeared as "Blanche Morton's" mooching brother "Roger" on several episodes of "THE GEORGE BURNS AND GRACIE ALLEN SHOW", and "Bob Collins'" friend "Harvey Helm" on "THE BOB CUMMINGS SHOW" {"LOVE THAT BOB"}).

Spoiler Alert: it looks like some editing cut out the illegal con crux. Swifty mentioned “coupons” and Braddock mentioned “running a lottery”.
In the early 70’s I actually “joined” one of these. Paid $7.50 a week which was noted on a card I kept. The salesman came around and collected weekly. I think it was $150 for the suit which actually was a good price for a decent suit to fit. When you joined you picked 3 digits. If during the pendency of the card your digits matched the last 3 digits of the Daily Dow Jones you won a suit. I didn’t win, but I knew someone who had 3 cards running at once and he won. Really wasn’t a bad deal, but then even Bingo was prohibited in Georgia. (BTW then the Dow was around 680.)

Good to see a lot of these classic shows. This, however, is probably the worst Racket Squad I've seen so far. Terrible acting and script. Not very clear what the racket is... except maybe selling this guy a crappy suit.

I love the show bu the character Swifty stressed me with his endless jokes and demeaning attitude towards his girl.
