Every episode she does, the entire series gets better. This is plausibly one of the most beautiful women in the history of the United States of America. My wife and I absolutely LOVE her work, the costars, the directors, the producers, the writers and the set designers. This is one of those rare moments when a series ran for, and you may want to sit down for this part, atleast Ten Years. This series went fromThe Loretta Young Show to the The NEW Loretta Young Show. No wonder Spencer Tracy, Clark Gable, Errol Flynn and atleast a dozen top stars of those greatest years had extreme crushes on her. My wife and I literally love each and every one of em but, Loretta Young is on our secret top five! Thanks to all for making this available. I just wish we could somehow sit young children down to watch this tyype of programming again, ah what a difference it could make in their young little lives. It never ceases to amaze me just how many young people aged 14 to 35 are just falling in love with all the Classic Movies thanks in big part to TCM (Turner Classic Movies) and ofcourse RUclips and the good people that keep uploading important entertainment like this. Did we say Thank You yet (LOL).
26 yrs old here & i love love love the old movies...so much so, i would love to have a time machine & go back to the 40s & 50's to live. but i would want time to stand still because from the 60's on seems to start the evolution of people being miserable, self centered & spoiled.
I turn 40 in February and am quite ashamed to admit that today is the first time I ever watched The Bishops Wife and it instantly became a holiday favorite. Now I'm on a Loretta Young kick and can't stop looking her up! Very happy to stumble across such a wonderful woman! God bless her memory.
Even those horrible laugh tracks couldn’t destroy this great show. Thank goodness they quickly dropped them! Watching all 200+ vids for the second time! Love them!
I remember watching just small pieces of her show in the late 50`s as a child. Even then she seemed beautiful, captivating and so elegant. But back then my thoughts were: gosh, what a pretty lady:))
Just wonderful to see these programs and how relevant they still are after so many years. Times change, fashions change, mores change ... but people are still people. Miss Young epitomized talent, good taste, and class.
I didn't she was this good an actor-so versatile. And her shows end in hope and happiness! Gets a 10 frm me. Plus she had famous rock star son! She was Godly but cool. Perfect combo
Gee whiz! I remember this show. Saw it all the time when a boy. I was entranced by Loretta and thought she was a really nice lady. Still do. Later, I think they changed it's title to "Letta to Loretta". WHAT an opportunity to see them again, thanks to Y-T -- an American treasure! . : .
In that polka dot dress and with her 'shopgirl' antics, LY reminded me of Rosalind Russell's performance in the movie, "Gypsy". Good acting job. 7/2019
I just found out Loretta sued NBC for breach of contract a decade later when this show was syndicated overseas because she was wearing "outdated gowns" and she only agreed to syndicate if the opening was cut. Icon behavior. Who can I sue because I DON'T look like Loretta Young?
Having seen dozens of episodes of the series over the last few months, I'm glad this was not my introduction. The laugh track and the writing were far below the quality of the other episodes. If this had been my introduction to he series, I probably would not hace continued tuning in.
i love loretta young..one of my fav movies is the bishops wife, but here she is a bit too old to playing the part of a young shop girl. shes 40 in 1953 & i have to say, she looks a bit older than that. but she was the ideal of femininity & manners.

susan NY 👍❤️💖👏
Elegant describes her.

AGREE 100% there's no need to add that. ruins the stories

John Sientz 🧚🌸🌼🌺🌹🌷💖👍👍👍💖
Just lovely! They don't make them like this anymore and that's too bad. TFS I shall enjoy the total package!😊

I adored watching this so much❣️Thank you kindly for sharing it with us❣️
A God-send.
It's always been about George Nadar!!! From the get-go, he was her TDH (tall, dark, and handsome) co-star!
Gee whiz! I remember this show. Saw it all the time when a boy.

. : .
That bottle of cologne mentioned at 2:47 would be almost 275.00 in today's money!
just discovered this show i love it ... all i ever watched from the past was................ I love Lucy
I want to see these clothes in color so badly lol
In that polka dot dress and with her 'shopgirl' antics, LY reminded me of Rosalind Russell's performance in the movie, "Gypsy". Good acting job. 7/2019
And Joan Crawford in The Women.
Always charming...............
Gosh, Miss Ellen Corby looked elderly in this and yet she was playing these roles for decades more after this point.
I love the entro gown
Originally presented as "LETTER TO LORETTA" (the title was changed in February 1954).
Incidentally, Jorja Curtright was Mrs. Sidney Sheldon off-camera - and was married to him from 1951 through her death in 1985.
These shows are very funny
Wow, she was even allowed to reference the Bible! My how things have changed for the worst.
What nonsense. The Bible is referenced on tv all the time. And most especially Proverbs.
Good-lookin' lady...wow!!

These are only the shows that starred Loretta Young. The shows that did not star her are omitted.
The laugh track is obscene......obtrusive. The comedy should speak for itself.
antoni boleslawowicz at least the laugh track ain‘t annoying as the ones on Two and a half men
Ellen Corby = Grandma Walton
💜

Please no laugh tracks drive most of us crazy especially loud ones!
