Hal Jr.'s mistake was making too many bad business deals by the end of the 1950's so that by 1961, the studio was virtually inactive (Rod Serling managed to film two "TWLIGHT ZONE" episodes on what was left of the backlot and soundstages that year} before it was finally razed "into the ground" in the summer of 1963.

Loved this. My Dad use to make us watch it back in the day. No dinner until we finished the entire episode.
Wow! Ward Cleever and Aunt Bea in the same show, hahahaha! I was born in 1952.
I don't think I would have recognized Aunt Bea without her trademark hairdo!
"Wishbone" from TV's Wagon Train plays as a confidence man here.

He also appeared as one in a 1953 "ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN" episode, "The Big Squeeze".
These are great, many thanks.
Excellent job "cleaning it up". Usually spliced to bits.
Hal Roach Jr. took The World Famous Laugh Factory & ran it into the ground.

it's an odd experience seeing "Aunt Bea" as a married woman..
She was rough to deal with, she didn't get along with anybody, but she was already an integral part of the cast! So it goes.
She also appeared on "IT'S A GREAT LIFE" (written and produced by Ray Singer & Dick Chevillat for NBC), filmed at the Roach Studio from 1954 through '56.
Hubert is so smart he is a dunce!
