This the best or one of best RO flashing videos I have seen, it is the same steps taught in the "Installation Masters" installer training program. It can be duplicated with other manufacturers tape flashing materials.
First off, I really love the Siga Wigluv flashing tape and tell all my builder friends about it. I bought some garbage from Menards and it wasn't even on a couple weeks (on the shaded side of my building) and it was starting to peel away from the house wrap. I decided to research flashing tape and after reading the great reviews, I purchased your product. I love it; It sticks very well! However, I opted to use the Dupont flexwrap for the bottom corners. Will Siga Wigluv be manufacturing a flex tape? In the near future, I will be remodeling a beach house and will be removing the old siding, applying a house wrap, installing new windows and residing it. I'm not removing the soffit, so I will be terminating the wrap a few inches below the soffit and then taping the house wrap to the old wood plank siding. Which SW product would you recommend to secure the house wrap to the wood? Thank you for responding.
Thanks for the review, Brad! We're happy you've had a good experience using our Wigluv tape. SIGA does not currently manufacture a flex tape. We use Wigluv gusset corners or pre-formed corners for this detail. You can find drawings in our Window Flashing Guide: go.siga.swiss/ultimate-guide-to-window-flashing/ For the soffit, you can use Wigluv 100 for the connection. Make sure the house wrap is held in place mechanically under the tape overlaps. If the old wood siding is a bit uneven you can use our SIGA Fentrim 430 grey because that tape has more glue and forms nicer around uneven substrates. Good luck!
The WRB will later attach on top of the flashing, overlapping it in shingle-fashion. The method works for both products as long as proper sequencing and termination is in place.
@@markopolo6009 lol a troll. How sweet. And no, we just work smarter. We have been using sigas products for years. I have even been to the siga factory learning new techniques. And this, is the most inefficient way i have seen. And you my sweet little troll, dont Know what you are talking about, thats why you troll.
@@markopolo6009 doubt it. You are just a shit kid. And if not, i pity you. Go get some self esteem in the real world instead of trolling around on RUclips like a 12 yo

Great video with a real-world application! Would love to see the next details of the window install with WRB.

does your wrb then attach on top of the flashing or butt up to it? does this method work with both tar paper and modern wraps?

To timeconsuming
No, you're just a terrible and inconsistent contractor.
