Great question! We recommend cutting the membrane 1-2 inches away from the corner edge and using Wigluv 100 or Wigluv 150 to tape the corner edge. This allows for the membrane to stay securely attached to your sheathing through any building movement that may occur. The tape is more flexible. You can learn more in the Majvest 500 SA System Guideline on our website.

Yes, it can be. Although typically in crawl space scenarios we recommend Majvest 200 due to the installation environment and conditions. The floor in a crawl space will not face as much of a vapor pressure differential when compared to a wall or a ceiling in a conditioned space. Majvest 200 is a more cost-effective solution. Thanks for the review, Brad! We're happy you've had a good experience using our Wigluv tape. SIGA does not currently manufacture a flex tape. We use Wigluv gusset corners or pre-formed corners for this detail. You can find drawings in our Window Flashing Guide: go.siga.swiss/ultimate-guide-to-window-flashing/ For the soffit, you can use Wigluv 100 for the connection. Make sure the house wrap is held in place mechanically under the tape overlaps. If the old wood siding is a bit uneven you can use our SIGA Fentrim 430 grey because that tape has more glue and forms nicer around uneven substrates. Good luck!

Wigluv is UV stable, driving rain proof and semi-permeable which are the characteristics that make it perfect for exterior applications. For interior applications we recommend the impermeable (and also cheaper) Rissan tape. You can find more info here: www.siga.swiss/us_en/products/rissan

The water vapor permeance of Majvest 500 SA is 16 US Perms, according to ASTM E96 procedure A (dry cup) test method. If you have technical detail questions on any SIGA products you can find the answer on our product Technical Data Sheets on siga.swiss or reach out on your preferred channel. :) Majvest 500 SA passed nail sealability testing, according to ASTM D1970 test method. Therefore, Majvest 500 SA is self-sealing in laboratory conditions with nails. The Majvest 500 SA also has some self-gasketing effects, when fasteners like cap nails, roofing nails, or cap staples are driven flush. Hope this answers your questions!

The WRB will later attach on top of the flashing, overlapping it in shingle-fashion. The method works for both products as long as proper sequencing and termination is in place.

Hi Jay, it's not mandatory to tape the field stingers. If you do decide to tape the capped nails it can reinforce the airtightness.
