I am sort of new to the DSP stuff, so I randomly will go back and watch random rage compliations. And I have noticed something, and even more so when he is playing a COD or Halo game. He has absolutely NO situational awareness. He has a literal one track mind, and he approaches every game that way. In his head, if that ONE way playing it doesn't work then its the games fault. Always. Like in COD he NEVER changed his tactics at all. Just run straight ahead. And no matter how many times he died because of it he never once considered changing his tactic. lol

I had my cross naginata with flame art and flame spear as my weapon art on a guard counter build. This boss was fun as hell, especially with the warhawk spirit ash (its just the one i like using)

I’ve only recently discovered this sad old man through this Elden ring dlc and a reoccurring theme he has is never taking accountability whenever he dies it’s always the games fault or some other excuse. It’s genuinely embarrassing that he isn’t playing a character.

I personally really like using shields (regular ones, not greatshields) in Souls games. It's for the fantasy, because I'll be honest rolling around at the speed of sound in every fight just looks weird to me. That said, watching Phil cower behind his greatshield constantly and refuse to do anything else really makes me sad.

@@leroyjenkins12345 It is the easiest boss in the since that it has a MAJOR weakness which is its head. No other boss has an 5x damage multiplayer body part. This boss is so easy t hat you can get a level 1 spear with "Spectral Spear" ash of war and snipe it from a mile away and get a crit shot for every three spears you throw. No other DLC boss is this easy.

You know what's crazy? He's not even fully utilizing the shield build, he could be using "Scholars Shield" which TRIVIALIZES basically most things in the dlc with a decent tower shield build.

I personally really like using shields (regular ones, not greatshields) in Souls games.
It's for the fantasy, because I'll be honest rolling around at the speed of sound in every fight just looks weird to me.
That said, watching Phil cower behind his greatshield constantly and refuse to do anything else really makes me sad.
Him standing there blocking the command grab, then getting command grabbed and getting mad about it is the highlight of this for me
The first advice he was given was try fire damage. He proceeded to not try it and whined the entire time about how HIS playstyle doesn't work against a boss and it's the game fault

@@leroyjenkins12345 It is the easiest boss in the since that it has a MAJOR weakness which is its head. No other boss has an 5x damage multiplayer body part. This boss is so easy t hat you can get a level 1 spear with "Spectral Spear" ash of war and snipe it from a mile away and get a crit shot for every three spears you throw. No other DLC boss is this easy.
It's infuriating to watch, he guard counters mid combo and he never tries dodging anything

You know what's crazy? He's not even fully utilizing the shield build, he could be using "Scholars Shield" which TRIVIALIZES basically most things in the dlc with a decent tower shield build.

You’re not supposed to use it. You’re supposed to use guard counter when it’s effective. And when the game has told you that you’ll get flattened by the sunflower head, don’t try a guard counter on the second hit of its three hit combo.

This boss is boring because he can't hold block and mindlessly spam shield counter every time the boss attacks him? Yeah good gameplay is when your basic strategy of pressing 2 buttons with no reactions required successfully overpowers the boss. When you have to think and react to what the boss is doing it's boring.
It's not even like his build is bad here either. Blocking and being tanky works fine here. The problem is he's terrible at reading boss patterns so he always attacks at the worst time after blocking.

Proceeds to fight boss for hours without using fire
Doesn't realize he can change the affinity of his weapon to fire
Complains that he doesn't deal enough damage
I love how in street fighter he touts himself as a person who plays very patiently so he reacts and does mixups to his opponent compared to just playing like a baboon on steroids with the controls and mashing incessantly.
And in this game suddenly needing patience is the bad thing and he wants to just be a highly regarded baboon who mashes controls incessantly.
He's so full of it. It's no wonder he won't go anywhere near a monster hunter game. He would never be able to get through high rank if he's bitching about this tree.
Worst boss because it asks Phil to actually do something: change your build, be patient, and dodge instead of face tank and that’s why this boss is so hard for him
