Been there 3 times. Old town Medina is amazing. But i don't feel safe during night time, many beggar and other scumbag offering girls, drugs and other things, i stayed in Hyatt Marriott Hotel and my room is facing Medina. I also enjoyed the food and atmosphere. People are so friendly and amazing.
You deserve an award for this, I'm Moroccan but never seen such quality video and realness. Let's all appreciate this guy's bravery as well, filming even people's day to day life and without the crappy music unlike nowadays' irrelevant videos.

he didn't film all of the city. He only filmed the old medina and the "poor" streets. The old medina is nice for those who like old and authentic places, but Casablanca is now a big city and these streets only represent a small part of it. I live there, and I will never say no to a stroll on the hill. The downtown area is really nice, and the famous Hassan II mosque is something to see. It is enormous and wonderful, trust me. Just like the "Californie neighborhood", the "Anfa superior" neighborhood is a really beautiful area where you can see the most modern and prettiest houses of the city. Here you can see an amazing sunset almost everyday. They built huge malls that attracts a lot of people. So you can't judge this city by a 7min long video in a cheap area. Thank you.
Casablanca is a very large, chaotic, dirty, commercialised Arab city and no more (but the art deco architecture, especially on Avenue de F.A.R. is the best in the world). I love the place, but it's an acquired taste and you have to keep your wits about you (and watch the traffic)!
Like any other major city in the world, there's heavy traffic, noise, and not so very attractive places. I visited Fes, last year. I loved it. There's, a lot I didn't get to see or do. Although, I did land in Casablanca when I went. But did not tour or see the city.
