Despite that my setup is for 2 players at the moment in the video. You can add more by including extra monitors, ethernet, ps2 consoles etc and getting a 24 port network switch which I have (over kill)
Port 1 of router plugs into port 1 of network switch and ports 2 to 24 on the network switch is for your consoles
But mysetup is that port 2 on network switch is for my Windows XP Samba Server for the Solo Campaign games of ps2 currently a 1tb drive
With network settings of OPL I have it manually setup for ip
Ps2 1 is 192.168.4.1
Ps2 2 is 192.168.4.2
Ps2 3 is 192.168.4.3
They all have the same ip config for SMB Server as 192.168.3.1
That way I can have like 20 ps2 systems play games off the same ethernet opl game server Windows XP
Then the network configuration save file for all the ps2s are set to Automatic
Then I have 8 of the 3.1 256gb USB sticks for all the lan party games since they don't work under ethernet I get an error saying network adapter not found since opl is already utilizing ethernt to load the game so that's why usb is best for lanparty

This is something I definitely want to do, show these new gamers how fun Lan parties are.
I like the dream. I want to do a 4 way PS2 LAN party with 4 screens mounted in an arcade cabinet to play conflict global terror. But I haven’t figured out how to do it yet.

@@aktvstudios Yeah it is crazy, you know you can buy laser replacements for the PS2s. I suggest you to not throw them away, even the og DualShocks (if you got them). You are one of the retro gaming heroes, this is why I am interested. It is because of the effort that has been putted on retro gaming, seeing this gives me hope for online play! I want to play online with my PS2 as well, me and my brother bought a 50000 on a 2nd hand store this summer and it is working great. I had a network adapter, just need to get my hands on a Network Access Disc and I am good to go.
Why bother with the Flash Drives?
Do you know that OPL can load games from an SMB share?
@@aktvstudios There's no reason why SMB wouldn't work with a LAN game. Have you tried it?
SMB uses TCP and LAN games use UDP. All network cards support multiple sessions.
Also it doesn't matter if the flash drives are USB 3 since the PS2 only has USB 1.1 ports. Your load times will be faster since the LAN port is 10 times faster then the USB port.
@@aktvstudios I'm well aware of how Windows SMB works. I've been a computer technician for over 20 years. If the network adapter isn't available in the game then OPL must be taking exclusive control over it. There is no technical reason why it would need to, so that's just bad programming on whoever wrote OPL. More then one program can use a network card at the same time. After all, when I someone connecting to my SMB share on my PC it doesn't prevent me from running FTP, microtorrent, and watching a video from youtube all at the same time.

I don't know if someone is able to answer me and maaaybe its a weird question but, is it actually possible to connect a ps2 to another ps2 directly to lan so you can play it local? Do some games even support that? Not playing online but actually LAN-Multiplayer? And no I don't want to just play splitscreen but everyone has his own ps2 and screen. It would be a good idea when some of the game servers do not work and you have the benefit of using your own network. Hope its understandable.
Hi, are these av to VGA converters work just fine? I use ps2 to HDMI and HDMI to dvi-d cable to connect PC monitor but it always have some issues. To make this work i have to use GSM and some games works weird. Some like thps4 for example plays faster than original. I wonder if these mini av to VGA works without GSM, just plug and play. Thanks
Thank you very much. Yes it is analog to digital. GSM is application for fmcb that allows you to force ps2 to higher resolution for example my monitor couldn't work with 480i and with GSM i could force 480p od 720p.
Hi again! I bought this VGA converter identical to yours and it's working fine but it has one problem. My image is all wavy. Are you having some pixel waves and it's normal or is my converter faulty?
Thanks for response. I tried 2 different monitors, 2 cables ,every time the same result - little blurry and wavy image, little bit like LSD visuals or something. I'll try different USB. If nothing works i think I'll just change my setup to small HDMI monitors. I just wonder if someone else have the same issue or if product is faulty. I saw guys on RUclips with no issue at all but it also may be visible if they record closer to monitor. Thanks again, i can't wait to see your setup in action. Love those oldschool lan parties
So I wanted to create a lan party with Tony Hawks Underground, do I need Mcboot or no?
Would Tony Hawks underground work though I can’t find a lan option in the menu? Are all those games on your download? Also what is a router with no modem? Is it run off Wifi or don’t I need WiFi for this? Could you put a link in your next comment on which router I should get? Thanks

I get all of the stuff you’re saying but Tony Hawks Underground says it’s 1-2 local players with this setup can you get more than 1-2 players? I want to be able to play with 3 players
so if i buy those memory cards can i hook up 4 ps2s and have buddys all play over lan?
