The idea that love is a choice and not just a feeling is so important. When you make the choice to commit to a spouse and spend the early days promising your undying commitment, it’s lazy and cruel to take that sacred vow back after a couple of years when the honeymoon phase is over. If you don’t want to actually promise forever to someone and put in the effort it takes to maintain that, don’t marry them.
If y'alll actually believed in the real power of God, you would be honest and truthful about who you really are. No matter the situation, He is strength courage and wisdom always and y'all missed the blessing on that one. Instead you parade around the idea of a God that gets you out of trouble. He gives power to go through it in TRUTH and light

Honestly, what you guys are saying is also based in Scripture as well. I haven’t found a woman in my life yet that understands what true love is when just discard me when the feelings wear out or find out I am not as wealthy and successful as they would like a man to be at age 27. Thank God for showing me their true intentions and preventing me from getting into the wrong relationship, even if it means I never get married despite having the gift and calling. My advice to those seeking marriage is 1 Samuel 16:6-13 and judge their spirit, character, faith in God, and lifestyle before you go forward.

In my season of singleness I am striving to become that Ephesians 5 man worthy to be a husband while searching for an Ephesians 5 and Proverbs 31 woman. Will we both be perfect? No. But I can do my best to find someone who is equally yoked with me as a Christian and lives a life devoted to God and believing in the faith.
We walk with God in our journeys to salvation. And i believe each lesson is intended to stick therefore, there will be numerous events that may take place to journey through that lesson that will take u to the next spep in your growth. So to insult their walk together with Jesus is not fair

Thank God someone said!! My 19 year old daughter and her 19 yr old fiance are getting married this weekend. They both attend the Church Of Christ. Neither one of them have ever lived outside of their parents home. I know they want to start having kids right away which leads me to believe, they can't wait to have sex 🤦♀️ I guess kids eventually learn.
Keep praying for them both, they sound young so God will have to grow them together as one. They have a lot to learn but as long as they keep Christ at the centre, he will guide their path! ❤
I can understand your… concern since they are still young and still are in the honeymoon phase of love. If God had not directly intervened in my life I would have made a mistake like that as a man marrying at age 19 or 20 years old while in college without having the proper understanding and disposition of heart required to enter into marriage. Here I am 27 years old and God still is teaching me more about myself with what needs to be corrected in my heart, relationship with Him, and life before I pursue marriage. I am still searching for that woman who will understand her role and respect my role in marriage outlined in Ephesians 5. So far, the closest I came was my one relationship when I was 19 in college before God split us apart to grow for our own good. Most women don’t understand that the man and husband is the chief servant of the family in marriage and are commanded to respect, help, and love him for laying his life down for her instead of just seeing him as a divorce cash out for retirement.
Guys can be shallow and if there old and a younger girl wants them and parents who passed away left them lots of money they could see that as a potential retirement fallback if they don't have much money themselves. Love all the wisdom you both have.
