Even though I'm a fighting game enthusiast, I discovered KOF Tears through your channel. And my favorite video is my first, Ace Combat Zero. But everything CastleVania was so much fun.
oooo, i love this. very cool to see your original reactions along side your reaction to the music in context with the games. def hope to see more of these in the future!
This is so fun. Love the Castlevania moments especially. I always wondered how often you revisit your reactions once you've heard them in context, and this seems like a great way to do that.
I usually only watch reactions to stuff I know, so I can still experience songs for the first time in their natural habitats. That being said, Fairy of the AIF is hilarious. I also liked the big 400 Battle on the Big Bridge video - I think it would be fun to make another one of those, for example all the variants of Green Hill Zone from various Sonic games.
Ah yes, gotta love the moment of combined thrill/anxiety when you beat Hades' second phase on Extreme Measures 4... and realize the fight isn't over yet.
I love this idea i hope you do more of these i don't have time to watch the vids but i like to jump to parts where i wanna see how you react to things in the games so this is exactly what I wanted
Oh, Jesse... asking me to pick a favorite? From YOUR videos? I'll narrow it down as much as I can. The Midgar Expressway and Airbuster videos are easily among my favorites because they call back to two of my favorite moments from the "opening" section of the original FF7. It was cool seeing those two videos because they're both amazing reworks of songs that I already loved, and I was actually able to focus on the music instead of killing enemies and keeping Cloud alive. Plus, watching your reactions to both of those songs was awesome. I still laugh at how at the end of the Midgar Expressway video, Cloud is shocked to see Sephiroth waiting for him and all you say is "Don't pay that toll!" The other two I want to mention were Flow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow. Those songs hit me on a deeply personal level, and it just felt good to finally see that there were other people who they resonated with in the same way. It made me see why this kind of content can be more than just listening to cool music: It's a chance to look back and share or discover a moment of nostalgia.
What an amazing way to experience music for the first time. It just shows there's no wrong way to experience video game music. One could argue you value these songs more while playing them in the game like this. Thanks for showing us this!
These are great, but there's no shock to your nervous system more pleasant than playing a game you have no knowledge on and suddenly hearing a song that's been stuck in your head for years.
One of my favourite moments on stream is when you got Quina in FFIX and were really iffy about the character up until you learned you could Eat them to learn monster abilities, and you immediately said "This is the best character." And of course seeing you listen to Not Alone for the first time and realising you loved it right away
I don't know how I forget how hard Furi songs go until I hear another one again. I don't know if there is anything quite on that level of intensity for me.
For my birthday today, share with me your fav vid and or if you discovered any songs / games on the channel :)
I definitely discovered silver will from the trails series from you then one of the content creators i watched started LPing it.
Happy birthday dude
Favorite vid I think is either your Big Arms video or 2 Planets Approach the Roche Limit (for meme reasons XD)
happy birthday!

Kind of wild his first song of Hades is effectively the last song you'll ever hear. (EM4 is the hardest thing in the game by a large margin)

My fav vid was your reaction to Sanctuary of Zi'tah. As a long time player of FFXI it's always great to see someone discover it's amazing music.

Oh I love this so much and would love to see more, especially the ones from the Nier games :3
Discovered through the Area Zero theme, which is probably just straight-up my favorite to see people hear for the first time. Crazy theme.
