Yes, thank you!!! I'm so excited! Can't wait to here your opinion on my brothers work. There are so many good songs in a hat in time. Please check it out.
Oh yea! I totally remember your comment about a month ago :D Convenient timing cause this was requested by a platinum supporter on Patreon. Let me know if he gets to watch this!
@@JessesAuditorium So cool!! Oh I want to be a supporter on patreon too! But I don't know how... but I will find out ;) Oh yes, of course he has to see your reaction. :) His channel is Plasma3Music Remixes
The funny thing about the sunglasses is that the stage preceeding this boss battle is the only stage in the game where you can pick up sunglasses from a sunglasses dispenser. You can stack up to 3 pairs before the dispenser explodes and you get fined for damages. This game is amazing.
Like others have said, the bosses go hard in this game, both in difficulty and music. A Hat in Time is a fantastic game, and I cant recommend these tracks enough: "Your Contract Has Expired" "You Are All Bad Guys" "Rush Hour"
Great to see "A Hat in Time" here! This along with "Train Rush" and "Your Contract Has Expired" are some of my favorite songs both from this game and in general, so I really look forward to seeing more!
Love the catching of the speed up. That transition is basically going from Phase 1 of the fight to welcome to Phase 2. A Hat In Time has such a fantastic composer, the sheer range of different styles in a single game (not only musically but gameplay wise) made this game stand out a lot. I have also learned about dual bands now. Appreciate that dive.
Sorry I broke ya lmao, but yeah each time the song changes is a different phase of the boss battle. The jazz part at the end is the final phase of the boss and they transition it a bit better in the actual game itself tbh. But yeah glad you enjoyed it!
For reference, A Hat in Time is a 3D platformer strongly inspired by 3D Mario games, and it has some really wacky humor, in which you play a small space-travelling kid gathering magical hourglasses to find her way home. This song is the boss theme for a chapter in which a disco penguin and a train conductor owl compete for a movie award, the titular Award 42. Hat Kid (the little girl with the cylinder) gets roped into helping them make movies for both sides, and by tallying your level activities, you help one side win over the other. But it turns out the winner actually cheated, and so you take the "winner" down. The fight goes through 3 phases, with the 3rd phase culminating in a marching band chasing after you, leading to the different sound. I don't know how much you're into 3D platformers, but the humor alone makes A Hat in Time a really enjoyable and wholesome recommendation!
Sadly it's not the 42nd track :c As you might have guessed there are three phases to the boss fight this song plays 1st part the boss fights you 2nd part the song speeds up, the boss fights you more desparately 3rd part the brass version of the song, you are finishing up the boss fight This game goes over the top in many ways just for the fun of it (you hear brief metal guitar riffs almost every time you beat a boss). It's very intense for being a "cute as heck" platformer. I love in-depth analyses of my favorite songs as a musical lay-man. Consider me hooked.
This is such a banger :D I heard a lot about this game as it feels like each and every friend of mine was playing it when it came out, now I finally get to hear its music! :D That switch in the end? Hello? What a groove! And I love how long it took you to talk about it afterwards x'D
Hat in time if full of playful tracks like this, can veer wildly from cheerful swing jazz to metal to synthwave in a few places. Eager for more, like "your contract has expired" or "collapsing time rift" or any, really.
Hat In Time songs are sooooo good! "Your Contract Has Expired" has to be next, but "You Are All Bad Guys", "Train Rush", "Death Wish", and "Collapsing Time Rift" are all fantastic too!
I got into the game this is from through "Your Contract is Expired." Frankly, I think this is a FAR better boss song. Not saying "Your Contract is Expired" is bad by any means, but I feel this one does far better. Edit: as a fun thing, any time the song changes speed, that's when the boss changes its phase. Phase 1 is just your typical battle. Phase 2 adds a time limit to the whole thing, and Phase 3 makes you just keep moving or face a literal conga line of pain.
This is such an amazing game! It's like a loveletter to classic 3D platformers like Super Mario 64, made specifically for us who used to play those in our childhood. It's cutesy and colourful, but at the same time a lot of the smaller details would go over the heads of a younger audience. The banger boss themes are also each masterpieces, truly a fantastic game.

I love A hat in time music! This one seems like a mix of multiple songs from previous stages, but I might be wrong on that, its been a while since I listened to it
You should check out some tracks from Skullgirls. I think you'd really enjoy "Unfinished Business" and "Moonlit Melee". It's a fighting games with a 50's Noir art direction. So a lot of the music is like really aggressive lounge jazz. It's very unique, and also the stuff from the base game had the same composer from the older Castlevania games
A hat in time is a cute 3d platformer like super mario 64 or super mario galaxy, is funny with goofy characters. The ost have a lot of bangers i hope you like the upcoming requests for this game.
Eyo Jesse great Reaction like always!!! Now this may come a little weird, but how about taking a look into the Call of Duty: Black Ops 1-3 songs? Would be awesome to hear your thoughts on songs like "Dead Ended(Black Ops 3)", "Beauty of Annhilation(Black Ops 1)" and many of the other masterpieces from these games :D
I know you likely won't see this, but here's a Game OST you might enjoy. It's one of my favourite pieces from the PS2 Era: Coba "La Mer", it's the Suikoden IV Title Screen Cutscene Music, and it's absolutely beautiful =3 (After listening to so many of your FFXIV reactions, I'm having trouble thinking of an FFXIV one for you to react to...so this will do for now =P)

@@nathaliestiefel387 Do tell Pascal that he's a beast, truly an amazing composer.
you have NO idea how fitting it is for you to have put on sunglasses while listening to this song
Well darling, I couldn't agree more
This battle _literally is_ in the middle of a huge party - audience going ham, lights everywhere, you fighting in the middle of it. xD
The funny thing about the sunglasses is that the stage preceeding this boss battle is the only stage in the game where you can pick up sunglasses from a sunglasses dispenser. You can stack up to 3 pairs before the dispenser explodes and you get fined for damages.

42 is part of the tracks title, it's a fight to obtain the 42th award
4:55 "And now for the brain destroyer"
This game has really cheerful cool music for most of the game, but the boss battles go HARD.
"Sounds like an evil carnival." Well, movie studio/theatre, but still close.

Was not expecting "A Hat in Time" when I came home from work today. What a treat! You'd better eventually listen to "Your Contract Has Expired"

God I hope we get more AHIT music, cause the whole soundtrack of this is a banger. Especially snatchers theme.

Some parts actually made me think of Inspector Gadget. Oh well.
You would love the intro song from Dark Souls 3!
Elden Ring also just released and has an amazing soundtrack
Should hear the Snatchers theme "Your Contract Has Expired", fucking banger.
