Dual steering servos need a dedicated power and ground wire to the battery, then the white signal wires to the RX. When the servos are wired up with a Y wire to the RX, the high voltage servos draw too many amps and act like a voltage drop that the killswitch senses and shuts down the engine. Belt drive is looking tidy. I was considering using longer shafts and a billet cover to put bearings inside for the outer ends of the shafts. I noticed a ton of drag using the belt as it is. Keep up the great work!!
Awesome comment, bro. I love the input. I noticed the drag as well. Im still not positivewhat is causingthe drag. But my money is on the lay shaft. For now i think its pretty good next im going to tune the carb more. Ty for your input . 😎👍
@SlickTrickRC the drag is the small 8mm shafts bending from the belt tension. If you loosen it any, it tends to slip teeth. That is why I think it needs the shafts supported on the outside too.
Makes sense to me. I have seen videos of people having bearing problems with the older versions. I have fast eddy bearings in it. Best I could do. Your input is very valuable. Ty. Developing new shafts to support bearings is not a simple task. I will think about it. . Thanks bro 😎👍
Ps. It had drag with the gears originally. So this is definitely a better setup.. this design may be a bit flawed . But I'll have fun anyhow. Ty so much for the info. Since I am totally guessing..haha 😂

You can not. I bought the pullys. Then had a friend machine them down to fit where I needed them. Then I ordered a bunch of belts and found one to fit good.
@@TheAdventuresofWally Depending on how much time you put into this, you may be able to start selling these. It's been years since they guy overseas stopped selling them. I'm very much interested in getting one if you do.
That belt drive sounds nuts! Good work
Ty bro. I was impressed myself on how much a difference it made. Replacing the old very heavy gears with alluminum pullys.

Hey Wally, cool creation. Truck runs real well but RC's are the very definition of Murphy's law...whatever can go wrong will!
Everything is f@cked

Let's hope not brother. Just seeing this comment. RUclips jail lol.
Very cool truck bro !!!
Ty bro. Much appreciated. I love the tinkering part of the hoby most. 😁👍
Hey my friend, your body ? I didn't see you put any clips in the body mount , how you do that too keep it bon the car
I used traxxas clipless kit , made for the traxxas rustler. I modified it to fit my truck. An ext kit would probably work great
Kool truck, what wheels and tires are those?
Those are from my 30%north clone of losi 5t
How’s your body set up? Do u not use clips?
I custom fitted clipless body mount from a traxxas to fit. No more body clips needed 😎👍
Ps. I have a video showing how I did it. I love that mod. ❤️
What mods did you have to do to fit them wheels on the rampage
I used wheel extensions from a losi dbxl.
I have a Rampage XR that I bash around every week. Where can I find this belt drive?

I'm working on a way to get pullys machined. I'll make a video on it in future
I’d buy one too for my Dune runner!
Belt drive ok I took mine off grass kept getting stuck between pulley n belt making it slip back to gears
Need a cover to stop that.
