Damn Wally, you've put more run time on that in the few weeks you've had it than i did in the 3 years that i had it
I found air leaks on the throttle shaft and the adjustment screws. I put the stock redcat carb on it. Should be mint now. Need to test. Oh I'm having a blast with that engine. Goes great in that truck with that gear ratio.

After sanding, do you need to wipe down the primer with any chemical?
You should use a prep like a degreaser. Rubbing alcohol. Depends on how fussy you are

I purposely mislead to get attention. Haha . Yes it runs real good. You can hear the sound difference in the 2 engines. That's the cool part. A nice pipe would wake that truck up more. That engine is perfect for the rampage. I fixed the steering. A screw fell out. Lol. The white kitty. She was a kitty that I had. But I gave her to a new home. She didn't get along with others. She wanted to be queen. Lol 😂

I used traxxas clipless kit , made for the traxxas rustler. I modified it to fit my truck. An ext kit would probably work great

Yes. I saw your videos on it. Perfect fit. I had to shim the engine and gear plate up to make the drive shaft fit. But you know that haha. More kids to come. Thanks for your time bud
@SlickTrickRC wait. Say what about shims? If you use the modified Losi g320 clutch housing and the stock Redcat fan cover, it will bolt right in and all shafts line up as original.

Why not blue thread lock so how are you going to remove the screws with the red thread lock if you have to fix it
I tried blue on my other engine. The screws loosened up. With heat the red thread lock will come out. It's not a perfect solution. But seems to do the job. Thanks for your question

Hey Wally, looks like your putting it to good use already, looks awesome in that frame. I've seen dyno data from two stroke factory works motocross bikes that clearly showed horsepower dropping as the oil mix got leaner. The highest horsepower was around 27:1. The oil does several things including helping to seal the piston in the cylinder. Looking forward to seeing how it runs.
Awesome info bro. I did not know that. I've been trying to remember how I mixed golden spectro back in the day. But I just mixed a gallon of castor 927 at 24:1 like you said. Next gallon I'll switch to amsoil. I used non ethanol 91 pump gas. As always . I'm going to run both myb1/5 scales off of this for now on.. thanks for the info. My 30%n has a 330$ engine. And I didn't want any of these engines hurt by low oil .. 👍😎 God bless
@@SlickTrickRC Oh i'm a big fan of Maxima oil, i used their Super M castor/synthetic mix for years with VP C12 in a highly modified Banshee and the oil performed great. I'm currently running Honda's RP2 with 110 octane VP in the Taylor and OBR, also at 24:1. There are so many variables with these engines/oil/fuel that you just have to test and see what works best.
