Surprised you don't have more views , good stuff ! . I'm finding out more now than I ever known before . I was into RC cars 20 years ago and back then the top cars were the gas/nitro . I'm just getting back into it and purchased a Losi DBXL gas which always was my dream RC ($1500) thinking I would be the king . Dude came by with a $750 Arrma Kraton and just "ABUSED ME" , COULDN'T DO NOTHING WITH HIM ! Realized now I gotta go ELECTRIC . I still love gas/nitro but I realize times have changed ...
Great video! I really like what you did with this setup. That's one way to turn it into a flat bed.... I still have mine as the gas version, same as your gas truck, stock 32cc motor, DDM pipe and a 8,000 rpm clutch. In stock form this truck is still fun. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome I tried to find the XTE version of this truck but it was discontinued. I like the truck but don’t want gas. They need to come back the electric version. I don’t think I have enough patience to convert one like you just did.
@@MightyJoesGarage I think you would make a solid profit. That what the guy does for the primal rampage is sell the electric water cooled conversion kits. I’m sure a lot people like the Rampage as well but don’t want the gas.
For jumping you need a chassis brace. I have mine with 2 carbon fiber tubs with all thread on each tube, mounted shock tower to shock tower And that keeps the chassis from flexing. Also note that The original cage will not do that.
Sweet build man. The Rampage MT in brushless form is a totally different animal than the gasser. I have the old Kershaw designs motor mount. The dbxle setup is much better design. Keep up the vids!!
Do you by any chance know how I could get the Rampage MT Part 50017 tires you took off to fit the Xmaxx? I know the Xmaxx is 24mm and the Rampage MT is 23mm and also I guess they need to be extended to fit the Xmaxx. I don't wanna cut them to fit the Xmaxx and ruin the integrity of the rim. I really love the way they look. I have seen a guy on RUclips do this but he cut them to fit and later on had problems with the rim. Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance.
@@MightyJoesGarage I thought that may work as well but id still run into the problem of wheels not turning cuz of inside of rim getting stuck on the steering blocks and I dont know if the back wheels would have same problem. you'd think there would be an adapter.
Great build, what a difference in power wow. I have a redcat rampage xb e that I converted to 8s. But i'm still running the crappy tires it came with. Do you know where I could get some adapters from? Thanks for your help
You should do a video showing weight differences between the electric converted with batteries and the gas with a full tank, but use the same tires on each, maybe do one then swap
Depending on your temps you might be able to run taller gearing, if you're below 160 on the motor and ESC you can probably run more gearing, once you hit 160 on the motor for speed runs I'd drop 2-3 teeth on pinion for bashing
I am wondering which option gives you better pulling/pushing power. Lets say you want to tow something....YES!!! I want to buy one of these RC cars to plow snow! Also, whats the difference in weight after the brushless convertion?
The 800kv Max5 setup that I put in the truck has a lot more power than the gas engine. The weight seems very similar, I still have to weigh both on a scale.
@@MightyJoesGarage thanks for getting back to me. This might be asking too much but I'll ask and you'll tell me if it's possible hehehe. Can you see how much weight one of those cars can pull/push? I'm wondering how powerful those little engines are :D Was a great video btw

Yeah man gas and nitro are a blast but the power and ease of electric is pretty unbeatable!

Yes they are still fun for sure, I appreciate you watching thank you!
Man you got a fun bash spot set up, I only wish I could find something similar
Thank you! Dug up part of my yard and added a lot of dirt lol
I'm building mine right now! I'm using an xmaxx center diff with cups off a front diff for the driveshafts to mesh into. Should be pretty epic!
Should be awesome!
@@MightyJoesGarage I'm hoping so!
Great video 🙌 runs nice on the ramps!! Glad it missed me…😬🤣
It was close
What dif and motor mount did you use thanks
Huge improvement! Great job!
For sure! Thank you!
Very good…. Very good indeed…! I’ve just got a maverick blackout st…. And the chassis are the same as this!!! I’m converting mine too.. thank you 😊
Awesome bash 👌. That looked fun but that poor body couldn't take it . I Subscribed.
Thank you! Nope definitely too cold for it to survive lol

I keep commenting on RedCat’s page lol maybe I should just make a conversion kit to sell. Something that easily bolts in without drilling.

I want build one these myself also but I can't find the electric brushless kit
What center dif and motor mount u use?
Where i can get the parts of the rampage i ask the hobby town but they dont carry that’s model
I ordered most of the parts online, eBay and other R/C Sites.

Yes I know I was gonna build a brace, did extremely well without one though!

You could buy an extra set of TRA7756 wheel hex hubs and trim them to fit inside the Redcat wheel.

@@oldgeezer6470 I can take a look at my Xmaxx when I get home and see the fitment, try to come up with the best way to make it work.

How did you fit 24 mm wheels on redcat
Kingmotorrc.com 24mm orange hubs
@@MightyJoesGarage my redcat has those square hubs I'm trying to find 24 mm hubs to do wheel swap
Oh for the XT I believe Tandemrc.com has them
loads of fun 👍
Yes it is! Thanks for watching Pat!

I will try and get some test together for you!
yeah boi yeah , i need a brushless 12s 1/5 rampage
Somthings not right with your gas rampage. I have clocked mine at 38mph before. But i love the brushless one its badass great job on it man!
Do you live near Beaverton mi
I live on the east side in the thumb
Poor body caught hell 😆 Awesome trucks 👍🏻 Gassers sound cool and are a lot of fun but imo electric is funner ✌🏻
Thank you! For sure, it was in the 30’s so there was no hope for the body lol
Update
That gasser needs to be geared up
LOL little practice driving good build
Love your obs dually
Thank you
Typical Red Crap Racing slow, fragile , cheaply injected molding plastics are not all the same.
Great Job man! almost bought one myself last year to do a E-conversion.
Thank you! They are definitely fun trucks with a brushless conversion!
