An easier way to install epic and gog games is using the heroic launcher. It's install 1 flatpack and done. The only downside is that you have to open the heroic launcher to install games, but you can add it to your non steam library and start it from game mode.
Heroic is easy to use and breaks less but with this method you get games directly added to your non steam folder and you can access the library from gaming mode, which is quite nice, and the UI kinda looks more like Steam, which I also like
I prefer this over installing an OS as suggested by many. Although I have yet to have my own SD, still saving up for it. This convinced me, thanks!

Hi what theme do you have installed? Looks cool thanks!
Hi! It's the pip boy theme :)
Decky loader isn't worth the trouble for me. I can't use something that breaks every week or so. I prefer Heroic
Is it harmful for steam deck?
Hey! Not at all, it's just an app, it shouldn't damage anything :)
The easiest way is to just get a Rog Ally..😊
Or just put windows on the thing
Yeah and remove sleep/wake function and have sound, wifi and performance issues dimbass
shouldn't you just buy a different gaming handheld if you want windows on it, like rog's one
It might seem counterintuitive but it is actually more fun for some people to make a game work when it normally wouldn't.
Windows on the Steam Deck sucks tbh, if you want Windows it's better to get an ROG Ally
reinstall OS, definitely easiest
